"Jin Shao, this guy, I haven't seen him before. He looks very unfamiliar. Could he be from another school? Maybe Wang Qingqing's former classmate, or her lover from middle school?"

The young man beside him glanced at Jin Shao's face, then looked seriously at Xiao Yi, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't remember where he had seen this person. He cautiously turned his head and said,

"Whoever he is, Zhang Bing, you immediately go and find out where this guy comes from. I don't want him to continue appearing in front of Qingqing!"

Jin Shao said with a face full of anger.

"Yes, please rest assured, Jin Shao. I'll find someone to investigate right away."

The young man named Zhang Bing hurriedly nodded.

"Hmm."

Jin Shao nodded in satisfaction, his eyes coldly glancing at Xiao Yi and Wang Qingqing before turning and angrily walking upstairs.

Although he wanted to rush over and give that guy who dared to compete with him for a woman a lesson, he decided to temporarily let him go until he had more information.

Zhang Bing, who was taking out his phone to find someone to investigate Xiao Yi, saw that Jin Shao had already started walking. He quickly took a photo of Xiao Yi and hurriedly followed him.

In the cafeteria, Xiao Yi, who was eating, suddenly felt a sense of being watched. He suddenly raised his head and looked outside, but he found that there was nothing unusual outside the cafeteria. Only a few nearby boys were occasionally casting envious glances at him and Wang Qingqing, which made him slightly stunned.

Could it be that I'm too sensitive lately?

Xiao Yi couldn't help but shake his head and continued to lower his head, slowly finishing the food on his plate.

After finishing his meal and leaving the cafeteria, it was already close to one o'clock. Wang Qingqing, however, showed no signs of drowsiness. It was a rare coincidence to meet Xiao Yi at school and to learn that he was also a student there. Her heart was filled with indescribable excitement and joy.

But just as she was about to continue walking with Xiao Yi, her phone rang.

"Sorry, I need to take this call."

Hearing the phone ring, Wang Qingqing had no choice but to apologize to Xiao Yi and walk to the side. She couldn't help but inwardly curse the person who called at this time, disrupting her chance to be alone with Xiao Yi.

After hearing the voice on the phone, her mood instantly changed. She softly spoke a few words and then hung up, returning to Xiao Yi with an apologetic look.

"Xiao Yi, I'm really sorry, I have something to attend to and might have to go back first."

"It's okay, go ahead if you have something to do."

Xiao Yi smiled.

"Alright, I'll find you another day."

Wang Qingqing said with a hint of reluctance, then hurriedly walked towards the dormitory. After walking for about ten meters, she suddenly remembered that she had forgotten something very important—she hadn't left Xiao Yi her contact information. She quickly turned around and looked in the direction where Xiao Yi had been standing, but amidst the crowd, there was no sign of Xiao Yi's slender figure.

This... I'm so stupid!

I'm such a fool!

Wang Qingqing couldn't help but curse herself and stomped her foot, feeling the pain in her toes.

After a while, Wang Qingqing calmed down and consoled herself. At least she now knew he was in the Mathematics Department, so she should be able to find him.

With this thought, she continued to hurry towards the dormitory.

Xiao Yi also realized he hadn't left Wang Qingqing his number. He had eaten a meal with her today and planned to find a chance to return the favor, but since they were in the same school, although it was large, he thought there would be opportunities to meet. So he didn't worry too much about it.

With over an hour before the school's afternoon session, Xiao Yi looked at the time and decided not to continue wandering around the campus. He casually walked around, found a shady spot, and sat down, closing his eyes and quietly practicing the Free and Easy Wanderer Technique.

Although Xiao Yi's cross-legged sitting posture looked a bit strange, the place he chose was relatively secluded, and there weren't many people passing by. Moreover, in Z University, there were many unique individuals, such as those who practiced Buddhism or yoga, so the students passing by didn't find it too strange. They just glanced curiously and hurried on.

After one cycle of the Free and Easy Wanderer Technique, Xiao Yi couldn't help but sigh again. This practice, like countless times before, showed almost no progress. Breaking through to the third level from the second level seemed to be a distant goal.

If it weren't for the fact that the first level had indeed given him a sense of achievement and he was certain that the old man wouldn't harm him, Xiao Yi would have suspected that this so-called Free and Easy Wanderer Scripture, which the old man had somehow obtained, was a fake. Otherwise, why hadn't the old man practiced it himself?

He looked at the time; it was already past three o'clock. One cycle of the Free and Easy Wanderer Technique had taken exactly an hour.

Xiao Yi lightly patted the dust off his pants, picked up his small cloth bag, and turned to walk towards the Mathematics Department's office building.

Xiao Yi's homeroom teacher was named Fang Likun, a middle-aged man in his forties. At first glance, he was a typical university teacher, honest and wearing glasses, looking somewhat scholarly, with a somewhat dull expression. When he saw Xiao Yi come to register, he didn't show much surprise, as if he had known about it beforehand. He didn't show much enthusiasm either, just casually asked if Xiao Yi had finished dealing with his family matters. After confirming that everything was settled, he told Xiao Yi to go to various departments to complete the necessary procedures.

Xiao Yi didn't mind the homeroom teacher's cold and indifferent attitude; instead, he was secretly pleased. It seemed that Chen Jianguo hadn't made the matter too public. The details of his transfer were probably only known by the upper management of the school, and the other teachers, like the homeroom teacher, only knew that he was a student who had taken a leave of absence due to family matters and was now reporting two months late.

Following the homeroom teacher's instructions, Xiao Yi went to the Academic Affairs Office, Admissions Office, and后勤部 (后勤部 means后勤 department, which can be translated as后勤 Department or后勤 Office) to pay the tuition, register his student ID, and obtain his student card, library card, cafeteria card, and accommodation card. After completing all the procedures, he returned to the homeroom teacher to register and received his class schedule. By the time he left the Mathematics Department's building, it was already past five in the afternoon, and the school had already dismissed, with the teachers preparing to leave.

Xiao Yi looked at the time; he definitely wouldn't be able to attend class today, so he wasn't in a hurry to check out the school dormitory. He decided to go straight to the school gate, carrying his cloth bag, which was now full of textbooks and other items.

He decided to go to Bilian Shuian (碧蓝水岸) first, rest for the night, and then go to school the next day.

"Jin Shao, look, isn't that the guy who was with Wang Qingqing at noon today?"

On the school road, in a black Audi, a young man in the back seat suddenly pointed excitedly at a slender figure on the road.

"Where?"

Jin Shao quickly leaned over.

The young man beside him quickly moved to let Jin Shao see more clearly.
