Chapter 22

"Clang, clang, clang..." The ship was about to depart, and the dock worker shook the huge golden bell with all his might. The golden sailboat that Mufeng was on slowly left the dock.

The dock was sparsely populated, with only elves and guards passing by. After all, most players were only around level 10 and had no intention of traveling far. Doing quests on their own race's map was not only safe and efficient but also increased racial reputation, allowing them to purchase race-specific items once they reached the appropriate reputation level. However, Mufeng's reputation with the elves was permanently cold due to the curse, and he could hardly receive any quests, forcing him to leave his homeland.

The ship set sail, heading for Lionheart City. There were no other players on board, so Mufeng felt safe enough to let Xiaoxi out.

"Ya~ Hey!~" Xiaoxi, who had just been born yesterday, had never seen the sea before. She flew around excitedly, calling out happily to the vast blue ocean.

Mufeng was unsure what awaited him in the human city of Lionheart. According to the lore of "Skyrim," humans were once the most powerful and prosperous race in the world, their overwhelming strength allowing them to dominate most regions until the day the demons arrived...

The arrival of the demons brought catastrophic destruction to the humans, who suffered heavy losses. They had lost their homeland and former glory, and even the gods had abandoned them. However, the human spirit remained unshaken. This resilient race continued to fight with every ounce of their strength. In the end, they found their own power. They had all the professions except druids and shamans, and finally secured a place to survive on the continent.

Here they built a fortified city: Lionheart City! It was also known as the City of Divine Blessing—the lighthouse of human hope.

"Hey! Want a bottle of rum?" A red-nosed captain walked over, enthusiastically inviting Mufeng. He seemed to be drunk, and Mufeng was genuinely worried that the ship might not reach its destination.

"Sure, thanks!" Mufeng took the bottle from the captain and drank it down with a hearty "clunk, clunk, clunk."

"Ha ha ha... Good stuff! Kid, you're my only guest today, let's drink to our heart's content!" The captain laughed heartily.

"Captain, what's Lionheart City like?" Since there was nothing else to do, Mufeng decided to ask the captain about Lionheart City.

"Lionheart City? That's my hometown, don't worry, the people there are all good! Ha ha ha... Even under the constant threat of death, we won't lose our human pride!" The captain's expression suddenly became serious. Was he really drunk or just pretending?

Finally, Mufeng arrived at the dock outside Lionheart City. The human-style architecture came into view. Unlike the artistic wooden buildings of the elves, human buildings were constructed with massive bricks and stones, giving them a sense of ancient and solid grandeur.

Without time to further admire the ancient architecture, Mufeng bid farewell to the drunk captain and immediately headed to the Demon Hunter guild. He would have plenty of time to appreciate the city later. After showing his custom profession badge, Mufeng successfully met with the guild leader, Makaron.

"This is the letter from President Asar." Mufeng handed the letter to him.

"Very good, I understand. Welcome to Lionheart City!" After reading the letter, the guild leader's attitude became respectful. "There are some quests available in the guild hall. Once you reach level 15, you can learn new skills and receive profession-specific quests with special rewards!"

"Got it!" After coming downstairs, Mufeng immediately started checking the quest list on the wall. He accepted two quests.

Quest 1: Cunning Hyenas (Solo Quest). For some reason, many hyenas have appeared outside the city recently, often attacking travelers. Please kill ten hyenas.

Quest 2: (Dangerous! Recommended to group) Adventurers from Lionheart City seem to have discovered the hyenas' base. Please clear out the hyenas' base and kill their leader!

After accepting the quests, Mufeng immediately rushed out of the city. He had wasted a lot of time on the ship.

From Lionheart City, human power extended to the surrounding hills and farms, providing protection for farmers and citizens. Outside the city were vast fields and orchards that supplied the city's needs. However, there were still some abandoned forests and mines in the distance, where hyenas and bandit groups continued to threaten Lionheart City. According to intelligence, the hyenas were hiding in the forest.

"Whoosh!" -87! Before Mufeng even entered the forest, he was attacked by a hyena. A hyena hunter used a crude bow to shoot an arrow at Mufeng.

Mufeng summoned Xiaoxi, who, upon appearing, circled Mufeng, scattering a trail of sparkling light. Mufeng's health and mana began to slowly recover.

Hyena Hunter: Level 13, Health 1500. Wearing a crude coat made of old fur, they walked upright but had the head of a hyena. Hyenas were uncivilized half-human, half-beast creatures with the strength of beasts and not too bad intelligence.

-713! Mufeng used a Blade Traverse to instantly appear behind the hyena, dealing hundreds of damage with his sharp blade. -1023! A powerful strike instantly killed it. A golden light descended upon him, and he leveled up, having already reached the maximum experience at level 10. Allocating all his free points to agility, Mufeng rushed into the forest. The hyenas' base must be deep in the dense forest!

"Help!~" Mufeng couldn't find the hyenas' base in the forest and was wandering around when he suddenly heard someone calling for help. He saw a tall human warrior running towards him, with a group of hyenas chasing him from behind. Although he was running fast, the hyenas' ranged attacks had already turned his buttocks into a pincushion.

"Ha ha!" Mufeng laughed at the warrior's狼狈 appearance and activated Sacrifice to charge forward. The intense flames burned the hyenas, causing them to scream and fall to the ground. Soon, all the hyenas were cleared.

"Thanks, man. If it weren't for you, I would have been done for! I'm called Arrogant Dumb, but you can just call me Dumb." Wiping the sweat from his brow, the human warrior came forward to thank Mufeng. "Skyrim" had death penalties, which would completely clear the current experience bar, and it would take some time to regain the lost experience.

It was only then that Mufeng had the chance to see the warrior's face. Good grief, he was a giant, at least 1.9 meters tall, with dark skin and a shiny bald head. He had two golden earrings in his left ear and a thick beard, exuding a burst of male hormones. Indeed, such a person was best suited to be a warrior; no one could ignore his strength. Although "Skyrim" allowed adjustments to body type and appearance, the base must have been excellent to achieve this look.

"Dumb..." Mufeng couldn't help but laugh at the name.

"Ah, I didn't mean to. I just picked it randomly, and it somehow got confirmed. It takes three days to delete and recreate a character in 'Skyrim,' so I just had to make do with it." Dumb scratched his bald head, looking embarrassed.

"I'm on a quest here. Do you know where the hyenas' base is?" Mufeng asked.

"You asked the right person. I just ran out of the hyenas' base and was planning to sell this information. Since you saved me, I'll tell you!" The warrior was quite laid-back, directly giving Mufeng the location of the hyenas' base.

"Thanks!" Mufeng had only intended to gather some information, but he unexpectedly received the exact location.

"Don't mention it, see you around! Ha ha ha..." Dumb laughed and left. Mufeng continued on his own to the hyenas' base.

Following Dumb's description, Mufeng indeed found the hyenas' base. It was cleverly hidden, and it was quite a feat for such a rough and ready guy to discover it. Mufeng had only saved a person with minimal effort and received such important information.

After observing, Mufeng found that there were about a dozen hyenas, but the legendary hyena leader was nowhere to be seen, likely hiding in the crude hut. For Mufeng, these ordinary hyenas posed no threat, so he charged in directly.

PS: Dumb is a philosophy major, so don't worry about any female statues or goddesses being sent. I'm pushing for the rankings at midnight, please support with red votes!
