Chapter 64

After leaving the Thorn City, everyone summoned their mounts. As a human, Mikan's mount was an armored warhorse, while the elf Shizukanae rode a nightblade panther, which was several levels below Mu Feng's Obsidian Wings. When Mu Feng summoned his Obsidian Wings, it immediately drew gasps from the surrounding crowd. The imposing appearance of the Obsidian Wings was enough to make anyone envious.

"Your mount is so beautiful!" Mikan and Shizukanae, who were seeing Mu Feng's Obsidian Wings for the first time, couldn't help but exclaim.

"I got it from the opening day draw. Let's hurry and do the quest!" Mu Feng said.

"Okay!" The five of them rode their mounts and charged into the depths of the desert. The hidden spy of Ten Directions Desolation immediately reported the direction Mu Feng and his group were heading to Qiushang Bielian.

"South of Thorn City, right? Good, let's go! Have the thieves at the southern quest locations keep an eye on Melancholy Wind and his group, and the rest follow me!" Qiushang Bielian immediately began to mobilize the main force of the guild. The ambush last time was foiled by Melancholy Wind, but this time with a thousand-person team using human wave tactics to surround them, he wouldn't be able to escape!

Although riding a mount in the game wasn't much slower than a car, the quest location was quite far. It took an hour and a half for Mu Feng and his group to reach their destination.

Ruined Necropolis (Dangerous, recommended to complete in a group): The royal tombs of the fallen dynasty have been occupied by the undead. Recently, the undead have been emerging from the tombs, threatening the safety of the people. Clear all the undead from the tombs. Quest reward: 250,000 experience, one random blue item, 2,000 gold coins.

Even before reaching the tomb entrance, the originally white sand around the tomb had been stained a deathly gray by the black aura of the undead. Scattered zombies wandered on this gray ground, all of them level 35 normal monsters.

"Same as usual, you take the left, I take the right, let's get started!" Mu Feng greeted Ye Luochengdie and charged out first. Since these were just harmless normal monsters, the fastest way to clear them was to gather them together. He and Ye Luochengdie each took half, and the process was very quick. Especially Ye Luochengdie, with her sprint ability, her speed increased by 100%, leaving a trail of white light. The lineup was the same as when they fought the sand lizards, with no true tank, Mu Feng, as a melee fighter, had the most health in the group and had to charge forward.

Before long, the two of them brought back countless undead. With the Wild Boar's Speed Boots, Mu Feng's speed was noticeably increased, and he didn't fall far behind Ye Luochengdie. After all, the sprint ability only lasted ten seconds and had a one-minute cooldown.

"Get ready!" Mikan's body was surrounded by electric light, and she had already started to charge. At the moment Mu Feng and Ye Luochengdie met, a thick chain of lightning was released. Overload was then triggered, and since the chain of lightning dealt multiple hits, each hit triggered overload, resulting in a magnificent web of electricity. When Mu Feng activated his Sacrifice and turned to deliver a Dark Slash, all the undead had already been cleared by Mikan's chain of lightning!

"Amazing!" Mikan's powerful area-of-effect ability was astonishing.

"Big Sister is so awesome!~" Yuki excitedly hugged Mikan, only to be electrocuted and unable to get up again...

After clearing the outer undead, the group finally entered the tomb through a large hole that had been punched through by the undead. The dark tomb was filled with floating ghostly flames, but the light was insufficient for illumination. Fortunately, Mikan and the others had brought torches, unlike Mu Feng and his group. With a torch in each hand, the entire tomb passage was lit up.

The entire floor of the tomb was covered in a thick, unknown, and foul-smelling liquid, and the sound of squelching could be heard as they stepped on it. Along the way, there were many skeletons that had not yet turned into undead. From their tattered clothes, they were likely the craftsmen who were killed and buried after the tomb was completed.

"Hisss..." A hoarse moan, and more undead monsters appeared. Completely decayed bones clad in tattered armor, with rusted swords and shields. Several skeletal guards blocked the path of Mu Feng and his group.

Skeletal Guard: Level 35 Elite Monster, 35,000 HP. The most loyal soldiers of the fallen Jialan Dynasty, they willingly stayed in the tomb to accompany their dead king, and after death, they continued to guard the royal tomb as skeletons.

-1462, -2973! A Dark Slash followed by a powerful strike, Mu Feng successfully drew the hate of the skeletal guard. Activating Sacrifice, Xiao Xi's Natural Blessing also fell on him, significantly increasing his mana regeneration. The Natural Blessing greatly enhanced Mu Feng's sustainability. Against the elite monster, Qiu Qiu's machine gun, dealing 2,500 points of true damage, wasn't enough. However, everyone's attacks were quite high, and the skeletal guard that Mu Feng targeted was quickly reduced to a pile of bones.

Elite monsters had high defense and high attack, but with Mu Feng's positioning, it was hard for him to be hit. Even if he was hit occasionally, with his 4,000 HP, he was in no danger. The Natural Blessing quickly restored his health. Before long, all the skeletal guards were killed.

" Ding!" The drop rate of the elite monster was already high, and it even dropped a green item. However, the group no longer needed green items, so Qiu Qiu swept it into Mu Feng's backpack. Having Qiu Qiu was indeed convenient; as long as the item was below the distribution rules, she would take it all.

"Vice President, Melancholy Wind and his group have entered the Jialan Tomb!" At this moment, the location of Mu Feng and his group had already been reported to Qiushang Bielian by the thieves who had been waiting here.

"Good, continue to track them, but be careful not to be discovered!" Qiushang Bielian said. Having set out several minutes later with over a thousand elites, he immediately corrected his direction and headed towards the Jialan Tomb. This time, he was determined to make Melancholy Wind die!

Unaware of this, Mu Feng and his group continued deeper into the tomb, encountering new enemies.

Undead Knight: Level 40 Elite Monster, 40,000 HP. The most loyal knights of the Jialan Dynasty, they were buried with their beloved horses. After resurrection, they became undead knights, continuing to follow the knightly oaths they made in life, fighting for the resurrected Jialan king!

These knights not only had intact armor and shiny weapons but also rode skeletal warhorses. The warhorses trod on blue-white flames and were clad in magnificent armor, looking very impressive. Players could also choose the Dark Knight class. Dark Knights had formidable combat abilities, but due to their dark nature, not many chose this class. The Dark Knight hero was obtained by North American players. However, whether it was a Paladin or a Dark Knight, none of them had the ability to fight on horseback, making the title of "knight" somewhat hollow. If Mu Feng could ride his Obsidian Wings in battle, his combat power would be greatly increased.

"Swish!" The undead knights, with their faceplates pulled down, were completely covered in armor, like living suits of armor. They uniformly drew their ornate swords and silently declared war on Mu Feng and his group!

"Interesting!" Mu Feng, who had once been a Paladin, couldn't help but respect these knights for maintaining their knightly etiquette even after turning into undead. Humility, honor, sacrifice, bravery, mercy, spirit, honesty, and justice—these were the values Mu Feng once held dear. But after becoming the Thief King Xingxie and facing the harsh realities of life, he had buried these values deep in his heart. The idealism of a boy full of dreams had been shattered. So, for these monsters who maintained their knightly honor even in death, Mu Feng couldn't help but perform a knightly salute.

Chapter 1 was successfully uploaded around 1 PM, proving that I can still do it. I will continue tomorrow! I must maintain this update rhythm! However, Chapter 2 became lazy because Chapter 1 was uploaded too early. This must be changed!
