Chapter 69

"Those intruders must have come to receive the inheritance of my will as King of Jalan. I must be the one to test them!" The King of Jalan, now transformed into a boss, stood six meters tall, his pair of magnificent iron wings allowing him to hover effortlessly in the air while clad in heavy armor. He raised the massive sword in his hand, pointing the gleaming tip at his queen.

"Hmph! They are clearly coveting my treasures and should be killed by me! Besides... there are four beautiful women, and their flesh and blood will be perfect for my beauty regimen!" Licking her black lips, the words of the Queen of Jalan shocked the girls behind Mu Feng. They never expected the withered queen to have already set her sights on the beauty of Qin Shuang and the others. The crown in her hand transformed into a staff in a burst of light!

"You wretched woman, why do you still oppose me even in death! My greatest mistake in life was marrying you!" The King of Jalan was filled with anger at the queen's obstruction. His hand trembled as he held the long sword, seemingly ready to strike at any moment.

"That's just like you! Always talking to yourself and never letting me finish my words! Marrying me was a mistake? Then why did you marry me back then! You killed my parents, killed my original lover! Hahaha... I want to make you suffer! Even though I couldn't completely overthrow you, I can still make you miserable until my death, and that's enough for me! Since that's the case, let's have a fight! Whoever wins can deal with these people! After so many years, it's time to settle our scores!" The Queen of Jalan waved her golden staff, and a blood-red shield formed around her, completely enveloping her.

"What's going on?" Two powerful bosses who had just appeared were actually hostile to each other? Mu Feng and the four girls were caught between the two bosses, feeling extremely awkward.

"What should we do now?" Qin Shuang stepped forward, her face filled with worry. Previously, they had almost been wiped out by a 40-level Golden Elite boss, Solak. Now, facing two powerful 45-level bosses, what could they possibly do?

"Wait and see!" If the two bosses could fight each other, it would be best for Mu Feng and his group to benefit. However, the system wouldn't be so kind as to let them get off easy. Something unexpected was bound to happen. Even if they did fight, Mu Feng and his group would eventually face a fully intact 45-level Golden Elite boss. This was the difficulty of the final stage of the mission, and it wouldn't be lowered.

**Spirit of the King of Jalan: 45-level Golden Elite Boss! Health: 900,000! A great king who almost unified the entire continent but died in a rebellion instigated by his queen before he could succeed. Although he failed to complete his unification, he remains one of the greatest kings. The legend of the King of Jalan's invincible knights has been passed down throughout the continent.**

**Spirit of the Queen of Jalan: 45-level Silver Elite Boss! Health: 450,000! Once the most beautiful woman on the continent, she became the spoils of war under the unstoppable iron hooves of the King of Jalan. Though she was made queen, she was not content with this and eventually launched a coup. Relying on her beauty and wealth, she organized an army that rivaled the King of Jalan's. The two sides engaged in a fierce battle, ultimately leading to their mutual demise.**

One is a Golden Elite boss, and the other is a Silver Elite boss. Indeed, the King of Jalan is stronger! However, the queen, as a Silver Elite boss, taking the initiative to provoke him is confusing!

"Fine! I'll deal with you first, then test these intruders!" The King of Jalan's iron wings flapped powerfully, and he flew toward the queen, his massive sword swinging down without hesitation!

"Hahaha... I should thank these ants; otherwise, I couldn't beat you!" The King of Jalan's sword struck the blood-red shield, causing it to waver, but it didn't harm the queen. The Queen of Jalan laughed proudly, and her golden staff tapped the King of Jalan lightly at close range, then swung forcefully in the direction of Mu Feng and the others!

"Ahhh~" A strange red light surged from the King of Jalan's body, directly hitting Mu Feng! A bizarre red beam linked the two together! At the same time, Mu Feng's body began to grow uncontrollably, eventually becoming a giant several meters tall, just like the King of Jalan!

"Beep! You have been cursed by the Queen of Jalan's Blood Curse! Your health has increased to 300,000! Under the effect of the Blood Curse, you will lose 20,000 health points per second until you make physical contact with the King of Jalan!"

"What's happening?" Seeing Mu Feng's body grow so large, the girls let out cries of disbelief.

"Hehehe, come on! Let's start! A wonderful performance is about to begin!" The Queen of Jalan laughed maniacally. Her long-planned scheme had finally succeeded! The King of Jalan was far stronger than her, and to defeat him, she needed to use other methods. Using the intruding adventurers was clearly the best choice!

Linked by the deadly beam, the 20,000 damage per second was terrifying. The King of Jalan would inevitably chase the adventurer who was hit by the curse. For the adventurers, facing two bosses was a hopeless situation, but now with such a deadly skill, anyone would want to try it!

The person cursed by the Blood Curse has enhanced health and can withstand the curse for 15 seconds. With healing, they can last even longer! As long as they keep running to avoid being hit by the King of Jalan, they can drain a significant amount of his health. Then, by making the two bosses fight each other, their chance would come! Of course, the Queen of Jalan, who had set up this plan, was not afraid of being outsmarted by the adventurers. Moreover, she could remove the Blood Curse at will, keeping the initiative in her hands!

"Damn woman!" The Blood Curse began to take effect from the first second, and even a Golden Elite boss like the King of Jalan could not withstand the 20,000 damage per second. He was enraged to be outsmarted by the queen once again.

However, the damage from the Blood Curse was too high. If left unchecked, the King of Jalan would surely be killed by the queen! He landed heavily on the ground, clad in armor, and charged toward Mu Feng! Just one touch, and the curse would be removed! Then he would kill all the adventurers! Without their interference, the Queen of Jalan would be no match for him!

"No way!" Mu Feng, who had just been considering how to deal with the two bosses, never expected the system to force them into this situation! To win, he now had to keep running!

However, although the main tomb was enormous, he wouldn't run randomly. First, he needed to stay away from Qiu Shuang and the others to prevent the King of Jalan from taking them all out. If he accidentally ran to the girls, the King of Jalan would not hesitate to kill them with a single strike!

So, Mu Feng chose to run toward the Queen of Jalan! The idea was to divert the problem, and in this involuntary situation, he and the Queen of Jalan were now partial allies. The Queen of Jalan would surely try to interfere with the King of Jalan to prevent him from reaching Mu Feng. Seeing no hope of catching up, the King of Jalan might directly engage the Queen of Jalan! After all, even if Mu Feng died, he would only lose 300,000 health, leaving 600,000. If he could prevent the Queen of Jalan from casting the Blood Curse again, it would be enough to kill her!

"Hahaha... Smart boy, let's see who among us is truly superior!" The Queen of Jalan was intrigued by Mu Feng's quick reaction to the Blood Curse without any preparation. In this life-or-death gamble, she now considered Mu Feng an equal! Her once beautiful face was filled with a smile, finding it increasingly interesting!

Yesterday, I lost 14 followers, which scared me to death! I can't let this continue. I've thought about it for a long time and decided to do two things. First, regarding Misaka Mikoto (aka "Pao"). Many of you find her out of character, but she is a main female lead I set up from the beginning, so I can't delete her. I will change most of the Misaka scenes to be more like Qin Shuang, which should reduce the sense of dissonance. Second, the quality of the last 10 chapters has been poor, so I will revise them! Of course, I will first finish writing the two chapters for today!
