"Father!" Pi Hou cried out, rushing from the village and throwing himself forward, hugging one of Shi Shoushan's arms. Tears streamed down his face as he sobbed, "What happened to you? Who injured you like this?"

His mother also ran over, her eyes brimming with tears, grabbing Shi Shoushan's hand and standing by his side, crying softly.

"Don't cry. It's just an arrow wound. I often get torn by wild beasts when hunting; a little blood is nothing!" Shi Shoushan glared, trying to stop them from crying. He was a tough man.

His upper body was covered in blood. An iron arrow had pierced through his protective steel armor, penetrating his right lung and emerging from his back. The one-meter-three-long arrow shaft, gleaming with a cold metallic luster, was stained with blood, a shocking sight.

"Big Sister and Big Nephew, don't cry. Brother Shoushan is not in danger. With some rest, he will be as strong as a wild ox and recover quickly." Shi Feijiao consoled them.

This injury was indeed serious. Even though Shi Shoushan was strong, they couldn't be careless, or he might suffer from severe health issues, such as lifelong weakness and asthma.

Fortunately, Shi Linhu and others had temporarily treated his wound, crushing old herbs from the mountains and applying them. They also fed him medicinal powders prepared by the elders using the blood of fierce beasts.

"Don't cry. It's good that he's back alive." The clan leader, Shi Yunfeng, walked over and swiftly pulled out the iron arrow. Blood spurted from the wound. His movements were quick, and a light flashed in his palm, with runes glowing like stars. He quickly pressed down, and the bleeding stopped, the wound closing up.

Shi Yunfeng took out a jade jar from his pocket, poured out two fragrant purple pills, crushed one, and applied it to the wound, while making the other one swallow the other pill.

Shi Shoushan was carried back home. A large crowd of men, women, and children from the village came to visit, bringing various nourishing herbs, dried meat, and other gifts. The atmosphere was lively, and the villagers were very kind and warm-hearted.

"Uncle will get better soon!" Little Bidian also offered his heartfelt gift, bringing a basket of his favorite red berries.

"What exactly happened?" In the clan leader's courtyard, a group of important figures gathered, and Shi Yunfeng asked with a frown.

"Clan Leader, it was indeed the people from Beicun who caused trouble. They crossed the boundary, came to our territory, and tried to snatch a six-legged camel that Shoushan had shot. They even tried to kill him. If Shoushan hadn't dodged in time, he would have been killed by the arrow," Shi Linhu said angrily.

Everyone's faces changed. This was a deadly attack.

"They were so ruthless, truly disregarding the rules. Although the two villages are dozens of miles apart and rarely see each other, we still live in the same mountains. They should show some consideration. It wasn't like this before," an elder sighed.

Shi Feijiao said, "The one who attacked was a young boy, about fourteen or fifteen years old. He looked good, with fair and handsome features. But his heart was very wicked. He shot an arrow at Shoushan as if he were killing a wild beast, with no emotion in his eyes, cold and terrifying."

The people of Shicun were furious and rushed forward, but the other side was also unyielding. Dozens of people quickly gathered, very strong and confrontational.

If it weren't for a sudden madness of a Suanni deep in the mountains, which caused the mountains to shake and rocks to roll, both sides would have retreated quickly, fearing a serious bloody conflict.

"Why are they so aggressive? Do they think they are so powerful that they can ignore our feelings? How can they be so bullying?!" The elders were also angry. In the mountains, strong young men were very important to a village, and the other side was so brazen, ready to kill.

Someone added, "That boy is not simple. He gives a bad feeling, like facing a mature Pixiu, powerful, fierce, and cold."

"From what you say, Beicun has produced an extraordinary young man. It seems this clan has become much stronger and is now very prosperous, with greater ambitions," the clan leader said softly, squinting and looking in the direction of Beicun.

Then, he turned to Shi Linhu and others and said, "We don't provoke trouble, but we are not afraid of it. Be cautious in the future. If they overstep, don't hesitate to act!"

"I understand," Shi Linhu nodded.

Half a month passed, and the people from Beicun frequently crossed the boundary, even digging many animal traps in the area. People from Shicun fell into these traps and almost got impaled by the sharp iron spears at the bottom.

This almost led to a bloody battle, but at the last moment, the people from Beicun retreated.

"Why are they so aggressively hunting fierce beasts? Even with a population increase, it shouldn't be like this. Something must have happened in their village," Clan Leader Shi Yunfeng deduced.

After several conflicts, the people from Beicun became more restrained. However, the people of Shicun were still uneasy and sent people to investigate at night. They heard loud roars from the village, which were quite alarming.

"Let's not worry about it for now. As long as they don't go too far, it's better not to fight. Living in these mountains is not easy," an elder said.

Thus, everything returned to peace.

A few days later, Shicun had good luck and a bountiful hunt. They encountered a battlefield left by a fierce beast uprising in the mountains, where powerful strange beasts had fought, affecting dozens of miles of forest and many animals.

Deep in the mountains, ancient relics often clashed, causing terrible disasters. This time was no exception, but fortunately, it didn't affect the village.

"Clan Leader, eight Longjiao Elephants are dead, along with several white Moon Rhinos and many other large beasts. If we make dried meat from them, it will be enough to feed our village for a long time."

Shi Linhu led a group to drag some of the beasts back and called for more people to transport the rest.

"Good, good, good!" The elders were very pleased.

Most of the villagers set out to help in the mountains.

"Wow, so many large beasts! We're going too; we'll definitely collect a lot of true blood!" A group of children shouted excitedly.

In recent years, seeing Little Bidian's growing abilities, the children couldn't sit still anymore. They no longer resisted the medicinal baths and cooperated with the copper cauldron treatments. Now, knowing that a large amount of precious blood was coming, they were naturally very excited.

"I'm going too. Da Peng, Xiao Qing, Ziyun, wait for me in the village, be good," Little Bidian, Shi Hao, also wanted to follow.

However, a large group of men, women, and children had just walked halfway when they saw Shi Feijiao, covered in blood, leading a group of villagers back, disheveled and pitiful.

"What happened to Feijiao?" Shi Linhu shouted loudly.

"Brother Hu, it's Beicun again. They ambushed us and took all the remaining game!" Shi Feijiao gritted his teeth.

"What? They are really bullying us too much. We have been tolerant, but they take our kindness for weakness?!" Shi Linhu roared.

The people of Shicun were furious. This was not the first time Beicun had acted so arrogantly.

"Did any of our brothers lose their lives?"

"No, but a few were seriously injured, with their spleens and other organs pierced by iron arrows. We don't know if they will have lasting health issues."

"What? They were so ruthless, we must fight them!"

The villagers were enraged, having been bullied repeatedly, even a clay figure would have some anger.

"That fourteen or fifteen-year-old boy is really wicked. Those arrows were all his. If not for an elder in their village shaking his head, he would have killed many of us," the father of Er Meng, covered in blood, said.

"He's just a boy, how strong can he be? Did you let him bully you?" A lame man from the village, who had come to help, was dissatisfied.

"We're not afraid, but they outnumber us by several times."

"That boy is very strong. He looks fair and handsome, but his heart is very wicked. Don't be careless. Several of our brothers had three layers of thick steel armor on their chests, and he pierced through all of them. Only Brother Hu and I can do that in the village," Shi Feijiao added.

"We must take back what belongs to us and not tolerate this!" Every villager was boiling with anger, their insides burning with rage.

A large group of people charged into the depths of the forest. This time, Beicun had gone too far, beyond the limits of tolerance.

"Uncle Afu, you're injured. You'll be fine, you'll get better soon." Little Bidian, seeing Shi Fu, who was covered in blood and often picked berries for him, clenched his small fists, comforted him, and then chased after the large group.
