An Xingzhou woke up in the morning feeling suffocated.
In his dream, an unseen stranger covered his nose with a goose down pillow. That pillow also had f**king holes, and the feathers were drifting everywhere. They drifted into his mouth and nose, itchy and stuffy.
An Xingzhou struggled desperately in his dream, but that pillow firmly latched onto his face without letting go as if it had grown hands. It was even warm and could move!
It covered his face hotly, moving very rhythmically, thump by thump. It would cling tightly and then let go, but it was still stuffy, so stuffy that An Xingzhou felt like he was going to die within the next second.
But the human survival instinct was very strong.
He screamed “Ah” loudly in the dream and opened his eyes suddenly. What entered his eyes was a scene of white. His nose and mouth were still very stuffy, still the feeling of the hot pillow with feathers drifting everywhere. This feeling even became more realistic.
An Xingzhou blinked blearily, thinking, ‘Oh, a dream within a dream.’
He closed his eyes again but felt that something was wrong after a few seconds. He firmly reached out, grabbed the furry thing off from his face, and opened his eyes to see that it was Peng Ci, as expected.
Peng Ci was still dead asleep, its ears drooping softly on its body. It very naturally rubbed against An Xingzhou’s wrist despite being held in An Xingzhou’s hand. It opened its mouth, made a few loud humming sounds, and then continued to snore.
An Xingzhou: “…”
He really didn’t know how Peng Ci got in!
He looked at Peng Ci, who had a satisfied expression while sleeping. Remembering that the very reason he had a nightmare was because of Peng Ci sprawling on his face with its warm stomach stuck tightly to his mouth and nose, he suddenly had the urge to throw Peng Ci into the toilet and flush it away.
An Xingzhou hurriedly pulled out his arm, rubbing his face desperately and then gently throwing Peng Ci on the soft pillow.
Peng Ci turned over and rubbed the pillow a few times. “Squeak squeak… Wife…”
An Xingzhou ignored his sleep talk, picking up his phone to glance at the time and then rushing straight into the bathroom to wash his face.
With Peng Ci’s stomach completely stuck on his face, he didn’t know if that, that… if that had rubbed on his face randomly!
An Xingzhou remembered the little hard and hot thing that had poked his hand and couldn’t help sharpening a knife in his mind.
It really knew how to take small advantages. Calling it “Crazy Confession Rabbit” wasn’t appropriate. It was more like “Crazy Freeloader Rabbit”! It took advantage of him even while sleeping!
When An Xingzhou finished washing up and came out, Peng Ci still wasn’t awake. Its snores, one high and one low, sounded the entire room like a firetruck, which were then accompanied by mouth smacking sounds.
The more An Xingzhou listened, the more he couldn’t understand. How could the snores of such a small rabbit be so loud?
Plus, it was already late noon. How come it still wasn’t awake? Did it sleep that well?
He had already walked to the door and put his hand on the door handle. But while listening to Peng Ci’s snoring, he unconsciously became angry, hesitating wildly between whether to wake up Peng Ci or to go to the kitchen and prepare lunch. He was suffocated awake, but the culprit was still in a deep sleep. What sort of logic was this?!
An Xingzhou decided to turn back and suffocate Peng Ci awake with a blanket. He’d repay his grudges and grievances with revenge.
But he hadn’t even turned around when his hand pushed down on the door knob subconsciously, opening the door.
The tall and huge pillow that originally should’ve been on the sofa was placed horizontally in front of the door.
An Xingzhou bent over and picked up the pillow, shaking it a few times while holding it. He lowered his head and turned it over, finding several tiny bite holes on the pillow.
He didn’t need to use much of his imagination. The scenes of Peng Ci dragging over the pillow from the sofa with all its might and using it as bedding to jump up to open the door appeared in his mind.
No wonder Peng Ci was sound asleep now. It had probably done it repeatedly until late night before it slipped into the room.
An Xingzhou’s heart softened unconsciously, his eyes even warming a little. He threw and caught the pillow a few times, walking out quietly. Even when he closed the door, he didn’t close it tightly, leaving a crack that could be pushed open whenever and was easily accessible.
He didn’t know if Peng Ci was too tired or if small animals just slept longer in general. Peng Ci slept all the way into the afternoon. When he just woke up, he thought that he was still in An Xingzhou’s embrace, rubbing the thing below him longingly and thinking that Wife was so fragrant.
But after rubbing a bit, Peng Ci immediately woke up, opening its eyes to see that it was left alone on the bed. What it’d believed to be its fragrant wife was in reality An Xingzhou’s pillow. There wasn’t a trace of its real wife!
Peng Ci’s entire rabbit body jumped up, and it squeaked as it hopped onto the floor along the blanket. It hopped speedily to the door and extended its paws to pull open the door crack, shouting “Wife” while running towards the living room.
“Hm? You’re awake?” An Xingzhou spread his arms and hugged the bomb-like Peng Ci, who was hopping towards him accurately, rubbing Peng Ci’s back fur and asking, “You slept that long? Are you hungry?”
“Hungry!” Peng Ci sat in An Xingzhou’s embrace, licking the finger An Xingzhou used to smooth its fur. “Wife, I want to wash up!”
An Xingzhou was dazed for a second before feeling amused. “How?”
“Pour a cup of water for me!” Peng Ci rubbed An Xingzhou. “Wife, huggies! Take me to the vanity unit!”
An Xingzhou hadn’t seen rabbits wash up before and immediately took Peng Ci to the vanity unit, pouring a cup of water for Peng Ci.
Peng Ci said “Thank you, Wife” obediently, moved over to the cup, and opened its mouth. It sucked the water into its mouth with several slurps, pretending to hold the water in its mouth and rolling it a few times before spitting the water into the vanity unit. After washing up for a total of three times, it finally stopped.
An Xingzhou was astonished watching it. When he thought Peng Ci was done washing up, he saw Peng Ci start licking its paws, wiping its face from bottom to up and rubbing its chubby cheeks into a bunch. After carefully washing its face, it extended its paws, pulled down its own long ears, and rubbed from the root of its ears to their tips. After washing its left ear, it threw its left ear back and started to protect its right ear. Finally, it licked its paws again.
An Xingzhou: “…”
So… so cute… I want to rub…
Peng Ci finally finished washing up with difficulty, pushing its head into An Xingzhou’s embrace and yelling childishly, “Wife! Eat fwood!”
“Sigh, okay.” An Xinghou didn’t realize that he had already silently agreed to the “Wife” form of address. He picked Peng Ci up, poured a bowl of rabbit feed, and put it on the table. He ate with Peng Ci, without feeling bored.
An Xingzhou only picked up Peng Ci and carried out his rabbit rubbing plan when Peng Ci finished eating and after confirming that Peng Ci had finished digesting and that it wouldn’t vomit.
The image of the little bunny washing its face and ears was so cute that An Xingzhou’s heart itched. He’d forcibly held it in until now and hugged Peng Ci, rubbing crazily.
An Xingzhou rubbed Peng Ci to the point that it was shaking left and right, hugging it while pinching here and rubbing there. When he’d rubbed Peng Ci to the point that it started trembling and grinding its teeth, he suddenly glanced at the time and said “I’m screwed” quietly. He immediately turned into a trashy guy and ran off after finishing, tossing Peng Ci coldly onto the pillow that he’d put back on the sofa at noon.
Peng Ci snored as it opened its eyes in puzzlement, seeing a little blanket cover it head-on.
Peng Ci: “?”
Though the blanket was a small blanket, it was still too big for Peng Ci.
Peng Ci’s entire rabbit body was covered inside. It was kicking and pushing its head, rolling around in the blanket like a fluttering moth and tossing around for quite a while before finally successfully squeezing its head and ears out. But its body had already been firmly entangled.
“Squeak squeak? Squeak squeak!” Peng Ci noticed that An Xingzhou had disappeared and was so panicked it kept kicking. But the more it kicked, the more tightly the blanket wrapped around it. It recalled the fear of its head being trapped in the storage shelf in an instant.
“Sob sob! Wife!” Peng Ci immediately whimpered, not having the guts to move. Its ears even froze, and it could only raise its voice and yell, “Wife, where are you? Sob sob! Wife, help!”
Peng Ci cried for around a dozen seconds and heard sounds coming from the room. Not long after, An Xingzhou opened the door and took huge steps toward Peng Ci.
“Shush!” An Xingzhou reached over and helped Peng Ci move the blanket aside. “I’m livestreaming! Can you stay in the living room by yourself?”
“Wife, what are you live streaming?” Peng Ci clung onto An Xingzhou without letting go, “I want to see too! Wife, bring me!”
An Xingzhou hesitated a few seconds and also felt that leaving Peng Ci behind alone was like leaving behind a ticking bomb. It might explode sometime and cause some other trouble, so he just picked up Peng Ci directly and walked toward the study, not forgetting to warn it, “You can’t speak the human language! Behave and pretend to be a rabbit, okay?”
“Yeah yeah!” Peng Ci licked its fur in a well-behaved manner. “Squeak squeak. I’m a rabbit.”
An Xingzhou: “…”
He felt uneasy. Very uneasy.
