Chapter 604 - Unknown Reward

The Ice Wizard, Wang Wang Dumplings' idea was that they should attack the 'Dark Whirlpool' with full force the moment the Soul King summoned it. By doing so, they could prevent Great Lord Moigne and Pope Shirui from getting out.

"Can the whirlpool be destroyed? Are you sure?" Brother Windcloud Nine exclaimed with renewed vigor.

Wang Wang Dumplings shook his head. "I'm not sure, we need to test it out."

While he had been lying on the ground, Wang Wang Dumpling had clearly seen someone's attack hitting the whirlpool, and the whirlpool responded by having a damage number pop out.

Li Yi nodded. "This idea's pretty sound."

An observer's view was always clearer than that of a participant. Though Wang Wang Dumpling had died before the others, he could not be labelled worse than them. After all, had he not died, he would not have come up with his idea.

Li Yi told the party to wipe. There was no other way, as once the tentacles pierced someone, they could no longer proceed to the next phase.

"What's this? How could you make a mistake like this?" Confused Fox expressed his dissatisfaction.

"I know right? We've already practiced so many times, and to think that you made a mistake at this crucial moment. Man…. I-I'm really speechless."

"Tch, save your words. It's only natural to make mistakes."

Brother Windcloud Nine and Shangguan Bailu remained silent under the barrage of the other party members. However, Mad Dragon had thrown a tantrum. He immediately left the party.

If their luck was awful, it was not unusual for players to be continuously demolished for days or months. As such, it was common for players to suddenly be replaced. It would only be considered strange if a party had no replacements at all.

Shangguan Bailu messaged Li Yi, "Should I demote Mad Dragon to the backup squad?"

Li Yi shook his head. "No need, his only flaw is his slight impatience. He's actually a pretty good person. Should you demote him now, it would only cause his emotions to run wild instead."

As the guild leader, Li Yi needed to think a step further than others.

This time, the one at fault was not Mad Dragon, Shangguan Bailu, or Brother Windcloud Nine. Instead, it was the loud-mouthed Confused Fox who had ran his mouth earlier.

"I'm sorry guys… I'm really sorry guys…" Confused Fox's face was beet red, and if there was a hole for him to burrow into, he would have already done it.

They did not attempt any more battles, as they would only suffer more TPKs if they continued to push themselves. Seeing the challenge count dropping one by one had made Li Yi the most anxious within the party.

They needed to recollect themselves, and only when everyone had finally stabilized, could they give the battle another try.
