Chapter 620 - Battle Royale

The person who shouted was Sister Windcloud Nine. As the queen of the Ninth Continent, she was not affected by the System's muting. Thus, she could still speak!

The match officially started. Brother Windcloud Nine swung his Blazing Judgement and bounded to the frontlines, leading the others in a charge towards the Western Continent faction.

Li Yi, Unending Unmatched, and Jiaojiao had all followed Brother Windcloud Nine without making any verbal agreements with each other. They had decided long ago that their main priority was to defeat the team from the Western Continent. Everything else was placed on the backburner.

"Night Moon, be careful, I'll approach you using Stealth. Then, it's Chisel, Garotte, Scrape, and Split!"

Only Fengxi did not charge ahead with them. Instead, he pointed at Night Moon, said the sentence above, then disappeared using Stealth.

Faded Cloud Breeze, Night Moon, and Shoot Until Daybreak had all simultaneously attacked Li Yi. Additionally, four contestants from the Southern Continent had also joined, focusing all of their attacks on Li Yi.

These people all knew how powerful Li Yi can be. To capture a group of bandits, one must start by catching the ringleader. Their objective was obvious; kill Li Yi at all costs.

The scene quickly dissolved into chaos. Li Yi saw past their schemes and immediately backed off to activate Cheetah's Light Ring. While he moved, he fired arrows without stopping.

Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!

Even though Li Yi no longer had his top-tier items with him, his Orange Bow and Ultimate Flame Arrow still provided him with terrifying attack power.

"Do you best to kill him!"

Tyrant Sword King the Fifth roared and Charged forward alongside Brother Simon, extremely well-coordinated.

Throughout the Arena, there were eight pillars present that could be classified as barriers. However, Li Yi had not to run to the base of one of the pillars yet. Tyrant Sword King the Fifth's and Brother Simon's decision to Charge at this very moment was done to completely cut off Li Yi's escape route.

Unending Unmatched and Amber Sword Heart were fighting each other. The two Armored Warriors Charged at each other and immediately were locked in combat. Jiaojiao saw that Li Yi was in trouble and stretched out her small hands to cast Death's Grasp. Her skill had pulled Brother Simon towards herself mid-Charge.

Any target forcefully pulled by Death's Grasp would enter a 3-second Submissive state. Jiaojiao seized the opportunity and used all her might to slash downwards with her greatsword, a layer of black fumes emanating from it.

"Desecrate!"

[-5654]

Brother Simon's body changed color slightly when he struck by her attack. A Dark Paladin's Desecrate could cause its target to enter a Cursed state, where the target would lose 10% of their attributes in 10 seconds.

Li Yi summoned Violent Bear King with a wave of his hand to block Tyrant Sword King the Fifth's Charge. At the same time, he leapt and fired a jump shot at Tyrant Sword King the Fifth.

Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!

Li Yi's hand shook slightly when he fired the three Meteor Arrows. Tyrant Sword King the Fifth had been hit by all three, causing his HP to drop by more than 10,000. Violent Bear King growled and rushed forward, slashing ferociously with its paws, trying to contribute to the battle with its weak damage.

Zzzip zzzip!

A Spinning Arrow was fired at him. Li Yi immediately fell to the ground and rolled away, barely dodging the attack.

Woosh!

Night Moon saw an opportune moment to rush at him with a Charge, accurately slamming into Li Yi's body.

"Disorient!"

Wham!

Li Yi was dizzied and halted his steps.

"Sanguine Berserk!"

Night Moon outstretched both of his hands with considerable effort. His eyes turned red, indicating that he had entered a Berserk state.

The Berserk state was a skill unique to Violent Warriors. While in this state, Violent Warriors would gradually increase their attack power. Of course, there was an obvious side effect; as their attack power increased, their defence would gradually decrease.

"Roar!"

Just when Night Moon was about to prey on Li Yi, Violent Bear King suddenly turned towards him and Charged. Night Moon was now Disoriented.

"God Mode!"

The Hunter Goddess appeared behind Li Yi. Before the others could close in, Li Yi had fired more than 30 arrows at Night Moon.

Poof poof poof poof poof…

After Li Yi had exhausted more than half of his mana, Night Moon could do nothing but die and fall to the ground.

Then, Li Yi took to the sky. Initially, he wanted to use the Hunter Goddess's to fly outside of the other players' attack range and snipe at them. He never imagined that he would receive a notification from the system after flying a mere 20 yards away from the players. [Contestant, please return to the tournament grounds in 5 seconds. Otherwise, you will be deemed to have forfeited the tournament.]

"Oh f*ck…"

Li Yi immediately flew downwards. The enemy Archer, Shoot Until Daybreak, seized the opportunity to shoot 6 arrows at him, successfully removing over half of his Health.

"Violent Bear Protection!"

He was not facing just a single enemy. Just to be safe, Li Yi used Violent Bear Protection, causing his HP to surge up to more than 90,000.

At that moment, Fengxi's silhouette had appeared in front of Night Moon's corpse. He shook his head at Li Yi, seemingly displeased. "What do you think you're doing, kill-stealing my target?"

Thwack! Thwack!

Shoot Until Daybreak immediately turned to fire at Fengxi the instant he appeared.

Fengxi had been hit by two arrows, and yet he did not go immediately into Stealth mode. Instead, he pointed at Shoot Until Daybreak and stated, "I'll chase you with Cyclone Steps before using Split, Bloodlet, Knee Kick…"

While Fengxi was still busy pointing at Shoot Until Daybreak, a Fire Fist slammed squarely on his head. Faded Cloud Breeze had ordered the Firelord to attack him.

Wham!

One hit from the Firelord had drained over half of his HP. Only then did Fengxi disappear using Stealth.

In a battle royale, anyone who tried to show off would usually face a pitiful end.

Jiaojiao and Brother Simon was neck deep in their fight with each other. Tyrant Sword King the Fifth, on the other hand, was relentlessly hunting down Li Yi. Shoot Until Daybreak was trailing behind, working closely with Tyrant Sword King the Fifth to attack Li Yi. Meanwhile, Brother Windcloud Nine had actually gone to engage in battle with the person that had the lowest attack power - Ah Ye, the yellow-robed Priest.

Reality had proven once again that even with a rare weapon like Blazing Judgement in hand, a main tank's attack power was limited. Brother Windcloud Nine's damage was less than what Ah Ye could heal with a simple raising of his staff. Thankfully, he was a Paladin and was capable of healing just like Ah Ye. The two opponents were caught in a stalemate as they healed themselves while they fought.

Li Yi had managed to run to the base of the pillar. Although he had two opponents, Tyrant Sword King the Fifth could never catch up with him while Shoot Until Daybreak did not dare get too close to them. The latter would always back away a few dozen yards after every arrow and would only approach them again if he had found an opportunity to do so. Then, he would back away again after firing another arrow.

Despite being an Assassination Archer, Shoot Until Daybreak had a much shorter firing range when compared to Li Yi.

Li Yi maintained his composure. He utilized the pillar to kite Tyrant Sword King the Fifth and would occasionally turn to fire a few arrows at him. When he was in a playful mood, he even used a few leaping headshots. His antics had caused Tyrant Sword King the Fifth to completely lose his temper at Li Yi as he was rendered helpless by his attacks.

The Hunter Goddess's Possession had yet to elapse. How could Tyrant Sword King the Fifth to catch up with a person capable of flying briefly whenever he wanted?

"Abyss-ripping Windstorm!"

Tyrant Sword King the Fifth's body began to spin at a high speed. A blue vortex appeared, expanding as it whirled towards Li Yi.

He had finally lost his patience and activated his ultimate skill.

Ssst ssst ssst!

Abyss-ripping Windstorm was an ultimate skill for Weapon Warriors. The skill was remarkably powerful, if one were to be sucked into the vortex, even a main tank would be killed in a second, an Archer like Li Yi would be killed even faster.

Even the pillar that was shielding Li Yi's body was sucked into the vortex and sliced into pieces. Li Yi immediately retreated as quickly as he could, leaping backward three times in succession. Only then did he escape the suction power of the Abyss-ripping Windstorm.

"Powered-up Arrow!"

Li Yi stabled himself with a
