There was no update yesterday because I didn’t have time. Sorry lol.

The two of the sat on the grass reviewing problems. At some point, Gu Xin’s pen had stopped moving and he was staring at Oreo.

Gu Xin the hand Oreo was holding a pen with and guided him to draw a circle on the scrap paper. He then wrote in the circle: Oreo.

The circle wasn’t round at all, but it still made Oreo smile.

Oreo had small bones and had always been slender, but he had gone through so much during this past year that he had become extremely thin. However, the moment he smiled, it was like time had returned to the first year of high school, where he was like a miniature sun that radiated light everywhere he went.

Back then, the students all described him as an excellent student with a happy family and a gentle personality.

When Gu Xin first heard his name, he was amused. He thought that his parents must really like cookies.

When Gu Xin first saw him, it was also on the sports field. Oreo was sitting on the flag raising platform playing the guitar. Surrounding him were all sorts of people and they all looked at him with admiration.

Oreo had attractive features, fair skin, and although he wasn’t tall, he was well proportioned. His cheeks were beautifully curved and his nose was straight. When you looked over in the midst of the singing and the guitar playing, it was like seeing an angel.

Gu Xin had never seen a guy with such white skin.

When he played the guitar that day, he only wore the uniform’s white shirt. He looked white and clean—it made people want to take a bite out of him.

At present, he was also only wearing a white shirt because his jacket was full of footprints. However, the white shirt he wore was covered in dust.

His fair face was still good-looking, but the pride and confidence in his eyes were gone.

Replacing them was a bone-chilling frost.

Oreo thought he didn’t notice. When Gu Xin touched him, contempt and pain flashed through Oreo’s eyes.

Even Gu Xin was unsure if Oreo was loathing him or himself.

It felt like there was a perpetual veil between them when he interacted with Oreo. Oreo would joke around, and sometimes be bashful or gentle, but it always felt like he maintained the distance of a step from him.

This made him want to stand even higher above, so he could rescue him from the abyss and watch him offer up his heart.

Oreo’s phone sounded. Luo Ya had messaged him.

Luo Ya: I’m sorry, I’m unsure if I should believe you.

It was regarding what Luo Ya had asked yesterday about him plagiarizing Zhang Qin’s work.

Oreo: En.

Luo Ya: Then…have you stolen things from the students in class?

Oreo fell silent after reading this. Just as he was about to reply, Luo Ya had sent another message.

Luo Ya: I’m sorry, I’m really sorry.

Luo Ya removed her previous two messages.

Then it became silent on Luo Ya’s side.

When his parents had just been arrested, the entire school was excited to share the sensational news that ‘Oreo’s family was bankrupt’. They all thought he would leave the school soon because he wouldn’t be able to pay the tuition.

At the time, the campus violence towards him had not yet started in full-swing, however, his reputation was already in ruins because of Zhang Qin’s suicide. Everyone thought he wanted to take revenge against Zhang Qin for scolding him or maybe he wanted to conceal the fact that he plagiarized, so he had used his connections to verbally abuse Zhang Qin. Zhang Qin committed suicide because she couldn’t withstand the double blows of having her work plagiarized and having fingers of blame pointed towards her.

The students who had criticized Zhang Qin have now switched their target to Oreo. They dug up words he had said in the past and condemned him with it.

Back then, Lu Hao had lost a watch. It seemed to be the one Cheng Jun had given him for his birthday. The watch was expensive and valuable. It just so happened that Oreo had gone in and out of the classroom when no one was there so he became the main suspect.

He also had a suitable motive because his family had gone bankrupt. The entire class, even the entire grade began to discuss how Oreo wanted to steal things before he left school.

That dead-end case was the start of his nightmare.

Oreo massaged his head. The injustice and pain he had gone through at that time would always resurface in his head in fragmentary episodes.

Even in his daily life, it would occasionally pop up to torment Oreo.

Oreo rested his head against Gu Xin. Although it was a bit impudent, it made him feel at peace.

Even if he and Gu Xin were no one to each other.

He casually stole another piece of Oreo from Gu Xin’s pocket.

“Gu Xin, I want to ask you something.”

I want to ask what our relationship is.

But I’m also afraid to ask.

Gu Xin looked at Oreo’s cautious appearance. It was like he was afraid that Gu Xin would become fed up with him. When Gu Xin saw this, his heart ached. He whispered into Oreo’s ear: “We already did such intimate things between us, anything could be asked.”

When Oreo heard this, he stiffened then relaxed into Gu Xin’s arms. He faced towards the open sky and said:

“Then I don’t need to ask anymore.”

The rest, what you’ve done to me in the past, I don’t want to ask anymore.

Gu Xin thought about how he had only watched on as Oreo suffered in the past. He thought he was good at manipulating people’s hearts, and for that small sense of accomplishment, he would rather watch as Oreo suffered in the abyss so he could swoop in and offer him help. Gu Xin really wanted to slap himself.

Gu Xin traced Oreo’s outline with his fingers. He kissed him on the eye then bit his Adam’s apple.

“Let’s move to the Arts Building.” Gu Xin patted Oreo’s face.

Lu Hao didn’t expect for the people in Class Two to actually dare to make a move.

The girls had run outside of the classroom once the fight escalated and the boys were swinging chairs around as weapons. Teacher Xue was unable to stop the fight so she figured she might as well evacuate first then try to mediate the fight from outside the door.

When Director Jiang had arrived at the scene, all the boys were covered in medals of honor and a student had been struck unconscious.

Since the fight was over, it was now time to assign the responsibility.

Since Director Jiang was the homeroom teacher of Class Two, naturally she was also responsible. The entire way to the principal’s office, Director Jiang and Teacher Xue argued back and forth at each other.

On the way to the principal’s office, Wu Jing from Class One stuck her head out and spat at Teacher Xue. She was the student that Teacher Xue had mentioned and criticized in class, the one that ‘selfishly’ declined her invitation to the arts festival.

When Oreo returned to class in the afternoon, none of the boys were in class. They were either in the infirmary being treated or in the principal’s office being questioned.

Teacher Zhao asked Gu Xin to help with printing copies of a test. Gu Xin went to the printing room on the first floor so Oreo headed back to class first.

Oreo only just sat down when he heard Zhen Wenqi say: “Look at how fast you bolted today. Are you that afraid of Class Two?”

Jia Beibei chimed in: “Teacher Xue was right, some people are just white-eyed wolves. They’re selfish, cowardly, and without a sense of unity. It’s a matter of course that such a person would be spurned.”

A class of cultists that had been brainwashed.

By unity, do you mean gang fights?
