Zhang Qin was beautiful in Guo Yang’s memory.

Her face was round with a soft jawline that formed a beautiful slope, and she wore her hair in a low ponytail. She got along well with everyone and was a sweet-tempered girl.

That day she stood outside of the office, leaning against the wall. She held something in her hands, had her eyes closed, and appeared very nervous.

Gyo Yang was helping the teachers organize some documents in the office. He was the only one who could see Zhang Qin from his angle.

After a while, Lu Hao walked towards Zhang Qin. Zhang Qin smiled when she saw him, and the two began to talk but Guo Yang couldn’t hear them.

“We ate turkey at Oreo’s house on Christmans, why didn’t you come?” Lu Hao asked.

Back then, Lu Hao wasn’t as bad as he was now. He was just a rebellious teenager who got into fights all day. His heart was uncomplicated without the scheming light in his eyes.

Zhang Qin liked how simple he was.

“I have social anxiety ah, there’s so many people there, I don’t want to go at all.” Zhang Qin pouted.

“But it was also my birthday that day. You missed it and everyone else had given me a birthday present, only you didn’t.” Hu Lao said.

“That…it couldn’t be helped.”

“But I quite like that watch Cheng Jun gave me. That guy is normally so quiet but he’s quite meticulous, he actually picked a design that I like.”

Hearing this, Zhang Qin lowered her head, pretending to be in thought. Seeing this, Lu Hao bent his knees slightly and tilted his head. When he saw Zhang Xin’s eyes, he smiled, “I also discovered a “ZQ” on the band of the watch. What do you think “ZQ” means?”

“I-I-I…how would I know, go ask Cheng Jun.”

Guo Yang saw Zhang Xin lowering her head shylu. He sighed, Lu-ge was such a tease.

At this time, Oreo also came over. He greeted Lu Hao and Zhang Qin, patted Lu Hao’s shoulder, and said sincerely: “Lu Hao ah…instead of memorizing texts in class…what are you doing here.”

Lu Hao pursed his lips and reluctantly headed back to class to memorize texts.

Guo Yang looked at Boss Lu’s defeated appearance and felt it was strange. Boss Lu seemed to be especially obedient towards Oreo, like they knew each other before they met in high school.

Oreo walked into the office and said to Teacher Zhao, “Teacher, I finished the composition for the Books Cup.”

“Okay, you can buy it here, I’ll take a look at it later.” Teacher Zhao was busy updating the student records on the computer. There were documents all over the desk.

After Oreo left, Teacher Zhao said to Guo Yang, “I remember there was a student whose work made it to the finals last year. Guo Yang, bring it from the printing room for me.”

“Okay.” Guo Yang put down what he was doing.

Zhang Qin was still outside the office. When she saw Zhang Wenqi and Jia Beibei walking out of Class Five’s classroom and coming towards her.

Zhang Wenqi said in a low voice, “Little □□, don’t think I didn’t notice what was going on between you and Lu Hao just now.”

Jia Beibei, “Is it fun to seduce someone else’s boyfriend?”

Zhang Qin looked away and ignored them.

Zhang Qin’s brother was good friends with Lu Hao and when he invited Lu Hao out to drink on the weekends, he would bring Zhang Qin along. However, Lu Hao never Zhang Wenqi to play with his friends. Although the two were rare sweethearts within the grade that had been together for a long time, their relationship didn’t seem to be as good as everyone else thought.

Zhang Wenqi knew how to win support among the girls and had a high position among them. Zhang Qin always felt that if it weren’t for this point, Lu Hao would have said bye to her a long time ago.

Zhang Wenqi “hmphed” and walked past her.

When school ended in the afternoon, Lu Hao saw that Zhang Qin was still standing outside the office and asked, “Let’s go eat in the cafeteria?”

“No…I still have something to do.” Zhang Qin hugged the thing in her hand.

“What? What thing?” Lu Hao asked.

“I…I also want to enter the Books Cup, but each class can only nominate one person and I wasn’t chosen so…I want to get Teacher’s Zhao’s recommendation.”

“Then you have to bring a work to show Teacher Zhao.”

“

“Look.” Zhang Qin waved the notebook in her hand.

“Then hurry and go, otherwise the food will be gone later.”

“I’m too nervous, what if Teacher Zhao thinks my writing is bad, then I…it would be so embarrassing.”

Lu Hao said helplessly, “You can continue your mulling, I’m going to eat.”

Not long after Lu Hao left, Teacher Zhao came out of the office. Zhang Qin finally gathered enough courage and was about to speak to Teacher Zhao when Teacher Zhao’s phone suddenly rany. Teacher Zhao picked it up, waved his hand and walked away.

Zhang Qin became even more depressed.

She thought of a way to avoid the embarrassment after being rejected. She ripped out the composition from her notebook and placed it on Teacher Zhao’s computer, hoping Teacher Zhao will see it later.

She happily went to the cafeteria to eat.

Unfortunately, she had forgotten to write her name on the paper.

Guo Yang looked for a long time in the printing room. The work of the student who entered the finals was from last year. It wasn’t easy to find and when he finally returned to the office, the teachers were already gone.

Guo Yang placed the student’s paper on Teacher Zhao’s desk. Seeing there were two papers on Teacher Zhang’s keyboard, he picked it up and took a look.

This paper was not bad.

He then looked at the paper Oreo handed to Teacher Zhao.

This paper was also not bad.

He placed down the composition of the student from last year then left.

After Teacher Zhao finished her call, she returned to the office. She was truly too busy, without even eating lunch, she continued inputting the students’ files.

But the documents on the desks were too messy. She gathered the documents, and inadvertently, the paper Guo Yang brought over was also mixed up in it.

Like this, only two papers remained in front of Teacher Zhao.

One was Oreo’s, the other was Zhang Qin’s.

For large-scale writing contests, a teacher would normally help the students revise their writing. Teacher Zhao liked to use previous exemplary entries from the same competition as reference. She would point out the excellent aspects of the writing and have the participating students use it in their own essay.

And like this, the good parts of Zhang Qin’s essay were combined into Oreo’s essay.

Guo Yang returned to the office after his break. Teacher Zhao told him to bring the student’s file and the paper from last year’s student into the filing room for storage.

As a result, Zhang Qin’s essay was treated as last year’s entry and was put into the cabinet, while the real entry from last year was mixed with the student files.

Oreo wrote a good essay and Teacher Zhao helped revise it tactfully. The Books Cup was aimed at college and high school students, and Oreo became the youngest champion when he was only in his first year of high school.

Because the essay caused a sensation, the school published it for everyone to see.

Zhang Qin saw the essay with familiar ideas and similar wordings.

Her heart shattered.
