Campus violence didn’t just start on a specific day. He was constantly influenced by the customs at school and was slowly changed. Oreo no longer wanted to remember how he had step by step fallen into his current circumstances.
Gu Xin’s phone sounded. He opened his phone and took a look. It was a message from the class WeChat group. He looked at Oreo again.
“It’s better if you don’t attend the next class.” Gu Xin said.
Oreo didn’t know what he saw. Gu Xin had no intention of remaining to keep him company. He threw away the dirty wet wipe and walked away.
Gu Xin said to not go to the next class. Then he won’t go.
There’s definitely nothing good.
In ghost films, the protagonist would sense danger but walk towards the darkness anyway. Oreo was not like that. He was already frightened by this world where demons run amok.
However, even if he didn’t walk towards the darkness, the haze would still slowly approach him and engulf him.
After school had let out in the afternoon, his lazy Aunt and Uncle were invited to Director Jiang’s office. They went very reluctantly.
Only then did Oreo learn that Lu Hao had taken over the smartboard during the class period.
He had broadcasted a video of Oreo and another man having intercourse.
Oreo in the camera lens had fair skin, a slender neck, and tears clung to the corner of his eyes, stubbornly refusing to fall while he couldn’t help but let out strings of moans.
Oreo knew it wasn’t photoshopped. It was real.
Director Jiang reprimanded Lu Hao who broadcasted it. She said that if he brought such a video to school again, she’ll record his offense. Everyone in the grade was accustomed to disdaining Director Jiang, Lu Hao merely said: Oh, really? then left.
But Oreo knew, Director Jiang was protecting him.
“Child, what is this?” Director Jiang was a middle-aged woman who looked like a squash. She was incompetent and liked to push off responsibilities, Oreo had never seen such a serious and kind expression on her.
What was there to say?
The other guy in the video was Zhang Wei, a student from the neighboring school. Lu Hao had accused Oreo of being a manwhore on the forum and then, one time after school, had dragged Oreo to a gay bar and made him choose between being gang-raped or sleeping with Zhang Wei. Though afterward, Oreo was still gang-raped either way.
Admit that he hadn’t just slept with one man but a whole bunch?
Oreo finally knew what Gu Xin saw in the class WeChat.
Oreo told Director Jiang the story. His Aunt and Uncle were shocked:
Oreo was someone that had been pampered in countless ways since he was small. He grew up with a golden spoon in his mouth but unexpectedly, he had fallen to this degree.
Oreo could tell what they were thinking. Director Jiang told him to wait outside for now, she wanted to talk to his Aunt and Uncle.
He stood outside the door. His body leaned against the wall and slowly slid down, his hands covering his face.
He headed to the bathroom to wash his face. His expression was dazed like he had lost his soul.
This matter spread quickly throughout the entire grade. Every person he walked past looked at him with strange and piercing eyes.
Outside Class Three was a sign that said ‘MB and dog not allowed inside’ written messily in pen. Oreo raised his head and just happened to see it. The people behind him lowered their heads and snickered.
The homeroom teacher probably mentioned his family situation to someone. Now everyone really thought he had gone to be a host.
The school’s corridor and bathroom seemed to contain a magical power. It was made of white tiles, piled up together, and there always seemed to be something moving in the air.
He knew some people had walked to the windows of their classroom to spectate him. Everyone in the corridor was staring at him. Oreo carried himself over and looked out the window.
Someone tapped his shoulder.
He turned around. It was a girl. She looked gentle and cheerful.
“Hello, my name is Luo Ya and I just transferred. This…” Luo Ya handed him a card that looked like a greeting card.
Oreo opened it. The content inside was also drawn by a pen. It was two stick figures doing ‘it’ doggy style.
“A girl told me to give it to you. It’s very pretty.” Luo Ya gave a sweet and beautiful smile.
Luo Ya seemed to have thought that it was a love letter.
The person who told her to deliver this must be watching them from a corner right now.
“Thank you.”
Oreo turned around. He didn’t want to see the faces reflected in the window.
“You’re so aloof.” Luo Ya said.
Aloof? What qualifications did he have to be aloof?
Being beaten to the floor every day and drinking mop water. Was such a person fit to be called aloof?
A sprig brushed against the window. Oreo picked a flower and gave it to Luo Ya. He smiled and said:
“I’m not aloof.”
Luo Ya’s eyes flickered. It was her first time seeing this sort of person.
He wasn’t excited, he wasn’t flustered. There was only tenderness in his eyes.
That boy had naturally fluffy hair. He was thin and pure-looking. He didn’t wear the uniform’s jacket and only wore a shirt with a tie. There was dust on his shirt and there seemed to be bruises on his face too. However, inexplicably, you get the feeling that he was a considerate person.
Oreo was sensitive to danger and malice. He felt someone walking towards him with heavy animosity. He turned around and quickened his steps. He was afraid of being caught.
He ran from the Teaching Building and to the Arts Building. There was usually no one in this building.
He heard the sound of conversations.
Near the entrance of the Arts Building, there was a bathroom. The talking sounds came from there.
“Taking him to a gay bar? Tsk, tsk, I couldn’t tell normally, but you’re a genius.”
This voice was…Lu Hao?
From the bathroom, he heard him lit a cigarette.
“You usually keep quiet…what, do you also want to join us and watch him □□ with a dog?” Lu Hao continued to say.
“I don’t have bad tastes like that.”
Gu Xin?
“You have plenty of bad tastes. You comfort him with one hand only to stab him with another.”
Oreo froze.
The two didn’t come to the Arts Building to avoid Oreo. They were here because it was easy to get caught smoking in the Teaching Building when it wasn’t break time.
This world had hurt him until he was battered.
He had taken out the last bits of sincerity that he had stowed away and offered it to Gu Xin with both hands.
But he mercilessly crushed it with his feet.
