Sea Circle Year 1516, East Blue, Karaya Village.

"You are framing me, defaming me! I tell you, Dorgar, even if you defame me, you must still follow the law!"

In the village's only small tavern, a handsome young man with light golden medium-length hair looked at the group of hooded men in front of him and shouted, pounding the table:

"You say that I was involved in Fisher Tiger's rampage at the Holy Land of Mariejois, where he freed thousands of Celestial Dragons' slaves? How is that possible? I am a good citizen, a very good citizen!"

Dean felt that there was probably no one in this world more unlucky than himself.

He accepted the fact that he woke up and found himself mysteriously transported to this perilous world of the Pirate King, where he would have to live a simple and honest life in the weakest of the Four Seas, the East Blue.

However, why did Dorgar and his men come looking for him just a few days after he arrived, insisting that he was a revolutionary comrade who helped Fisher Tiger in the Mariejois incident, and even tried to force him to join the Revolutionary Army?

Because he did not inherit any memories from his previous life, he had gone door to door to ask the villagers about his reputation.

The villagers all said that he was just an ordinary handsome man who had drifted to the village nine years ago due to a shipwreck. Apart from being strong and good-looking, there was nothing particularly noteworthy about him. He had lived in Karaya Village for nine years, making a living by running this small tavern.

How could an ordinary man who survived a shipwreck suddenly become a revolutionary comrade who caused chaos in Mariejois?

The leader of the Revolutionary Army, Monkey D. Dorgar, who was called "the world's most vicious criminal" by the World Government, looked at Dean and said calmly:

"To be precise, it was you who used your Pyramid Fruit ability to help Mr. Tiger climb to the so-called Holy Land of Mariejois, which led to the well-known 'Mariejois Incident.'"

Hearing this, Dean's heart skipped a beat. Although he did not inherit the memories of his previous life, he had discovered over the past few days that his predecessor had eaten a Devil Fruit.

And this Devil Fruit indeed had the special ability to decompose or transform objects into pyramids.

Could it be that his predecessor really did such a thing?

Dean looked at the group of revolutionaries in front of him and suddenly said:

"Wait a moment, I need to use the restroom. I'll go clear my head and come back to talk to you."

After saying this, Dean turned and went into the back of the tavern, but he did not go to the restroom. Instead, he rushed into his bedroom, pulled out a dusty bag from under the bed, and hurriedly packed his belongings.

Go back and talk? Alkin Dean would be crazy to go back and talk to those revolutionaries!

He did not know what his predecessor had done, but he did not plan to admit anything, regardless of whether his predecessor had done those things or not.

Alkin Dean just wanted to be a safe, ordinary person!

This was not something to be admitted lightly. He knew very well what kind of trouble he would bring upon himself if he admitted to helping Tiger cause chaos in Mariejois.

Robin, who was only eight years old, was already wanted with a bounty of 79 million for being a survivor of Ohara.

If he admitted to helping Tiger cause chaos in Mariejois, his bounty would likely be even higher than Robin's.

Dean just wanted to live a quiet and ordinary life, without the constant fear of being on the run. So his choice was...

Better to run away.

Why not join the Revolutionary Army?

What a joke, was the Revolutionary Army a job for an ordinary person like him? One wrong move and he could lose his head!

Even if he died, died outside, was swallowed by the King of the Near Sea, or jumped into the East Blue to commit suicide, he would not join the Revolutionary Army!

While Dean carefully packed his belongings, the conversation outside continued:

"Mr. Dorgar, this guy looks only about 20 years old. Could he really be the legendary Dean, who is known as the revolutionary beacon alongside Nico Robin?"

"If he really is Dean, he was only 13 or 14 years old when the Mariejois incident happened nine years ago."

Dean nodded in agreement in his heart. That's right, according to the calendar, he was only 22 years old this year. How could he have done such a crazy thing nine years ago?

But at that moment, a somewhat young female voice contradicted:

"It can't be wrong. I remember his face. I won't forget Dean's face even after thirty or fifty years!"

Forget it, he might as well run away...

"If it really is him, to be able to escape from that big battle at the age of 13, he must be a super genius in a million. Such a great revolutionary comrade must be recruited into our organization."

Join the organization? I must be crazy to join your Revolutionary Army!

After packing a few clothes that met his aesthetic standards and putting all the cash in the room into the bag, Dean was thinking about what else he should bring when a slightly young male voice sounded outside:

"Why is Dean taking so long in the restroom? Could he be using the restroom as an excuse to run away?"

Hearing this, Dean was startled. Damn, how did they find out so quickly?

Dean did not dare to think anymore and hurriedly opened the window to escape.

Just as he had one foot out the window, the female voice sounded again:

"Sabo, you're talking nonsense. We came to invite Dean to join the Revolutionary Army. Why would he run away?"

It seemed that the female voice had grabbed Sabo's face, and he cried out in pain:

"Ouch, ouch, Kira, don't pull my face. If we want to know if he ran away, why don't we just go in and see?"

"How can we go in? If we go in, it would mean we don't trust Dean, which would be very disappointing."

"He might have found out that he is being watched by CP agents and is afraid of being captured."

"It's impossible. Dean faced the Celestial Dragons and so many Marines in Mariejois and was not afraid. Why would he be afraid of a few CP agents?"

Hearing this, Dean, who was halfway out the window, felt a chill run up his spine. He retracted his leg, put down his bag, and turned to walk out.

Looking at the group of hooded men outside, Dean said with a strange expression:

"Um... the CP you mentioned... is it the CP of the World Government?"

Sabo rolled his eyes and retorted:

"Is there any other CP?"

Dorgar also looked at Dean curiously and said:

"We did come here in a hurry with this in mind, but I think with your strength, dealing with a few CP agents should not be a problem."

Hearing this, Dean turned and walked back into the back room without a word. A moment later, he came out calmly with his large bag, put it down, and smiled brightly:

"Alright, when do we leave?"
