Chapter 1

This book has been out for almost a month, and there have been many discussions. Previously, because of the busy work, I was exhausted every day, and after finishing writing, I only wanted to take a shower and sleep, so I put it aside temporarily. These few days have been less busy, so I'll address a few issues in the comments section.
First, the Thunder Fruit can't fly?
The reason is that at the beginning, the protagonist falls from the sky island and has to use the sky shark as a glider.
To clarify, in my setting, Logia fruits do not have the ability to fly; they can only briefly float in the air.
In fact, the original work never describes Logia fruits as having the ability to fly. Enel can't, Crocodile can't, and the three admirals certainly can't. Crocodile's "flight" is more like creating a small sandstorm and riding on it. Yellow猿 (Bepo) stepping on cannonballs to land in Sabaody doesn't prove he can fly; it only shows that his weight is light after elementization, so the cannonballs don't fall too quickly.
So, I set it this way: the protagonist cannot fly.
I can't give a more specific reason because if we start talking about converting thermal energy to kinetic energy and kinetic energy to potential energy, shouldn't we be explaining that to Oda-sensei?
Given this premise, the protagonist needs the sky shark's help when falling from a great height.
And although 10,000 meters seems very high, the theoretical time to fall is only 45 seconds. In the vast Blue Sea, what can you do in 45 seconds?
The second issue is the development direction of the Thunder Fruit.
Initially, I didn't think too much about it. When it comes to electricity, one naturally thinks of magnetism, and then the idea of a railgun (stricken)… In my plan, as a user of the Thunder Fruit, it would be ridiculous not to develop the ability to use magnetic fields.
After all, Enel can use electromagnetic feedback to eavesdrop on Angel Island and develop instant movement through magnetic fields. If the protagonist, as a穿越者 (穿越者 means "time traveler" or "穿越者" in this context), can't even match him, wouldn't that be laughable?
However, I never said that the protagonist would use magnetic field manipulation as his primary combat method. I added a segment in the main text to clarify this (stricken).
My initial consideration was to connect the protagonist to Vegapunk, and that's all…
I wonder how many attentive fans remember that in the Punk Hazard arc, when Franky brought out General Franky to fight Baby-5 and Buffalo, the laser weapons he obtained from Vegapunk's homeland, the Mechanical Island, were considered by the latter to be associated with Vegapunk, saying that only Vegapunk in the world possesses laser weapons?
The reason they say this is, of course, because of the Pacifistas.
Vegapunk's laser weapons are not just a product of imagination but were successfully developed through the research of the Pacifistas, utilizing Bepo's Flash Fruit. In fact, Vegapunk's scientific foundation relies on Devil Fruits, not just accumulated knowledge or baseless speculation.
Whatever Devil Fruits have, he can create through the study of bloodline factors.
And my goal is to connect the protagonist's electromagnetic abilities to Vegapunk!
Anyway, the railgun is a must-have!
The light that dances at your fingertips is me… cough, cough…
Finally, about the protagonist's character.
In fact, I've never thought there was a problem. The protagonist is neither a villain nor a hero; he is just a very pragmatic adult from Earth. I'll take the good parts, and if there's no benefit, you'll have to deal with it yourself.
Everything is driven by interests, actions are purely based on mood, and there are appropriate rules to follow. Isn't this just a reflection of Earthlings?
Is there anything wrong with that?
……
That's it. You can just read the previous comments for entertainment. After all, this is a fanfiction in the fictional world of One Piece. What's the point of nitpicking about right and wrong, good and evil, or scientific accuracy? Isn't it enough to enjoy it?
