Cen Muqi wrapped his jacket around Ji Naitang and then lifted him up. The manager asked, “CEO Cen, what is going on here?”
Cen Muqi was too lazy to speak and started to leave. The manager said somewhat awkwardly, “These people are Fengqi’s CEO Yao’s subordinates. It won’t be easy to explain.”
“You don’t have to worry. Just send them directly to the hospital. I will deal with the rest.”
“Okay. I can rest assured with your words.”
Cen Muqi carried Ji Naitang outside. He directly went out the back door to avoid too many people seeing them and exaggerating this matter. Ji Naitang leaned into his arms. Although he knew that he should be closing his eyes and pretending to be weak right now, he couldn’t control himself and stared at Cen Muqi’s jaw.
The driver had already received the instructions. He had driven to the back door of the bar and was waiting there.
“Go to the nearest hospital.”
“Yes.”
The car started moving, but Ji Naitang, who was in Cen Muqi’s arms, said, “I’m not going to the hospital.”
Cen Muqi frowned. “You have heavy injuries. You have to go to the hospital to take care of your wounds.”
“I’m not going to the hospital.” Ji Naitang’s voice was soft, but very firm. Cen Muqi looked down at him for a while. Then he said helplessly to the driver, “Go back to apartment.”
Cen Muqi took Ji Naitang to an apartment building in the city center. Then he called a family doctor over to treat the wounds and set up an IV drip.
“Was it a fight or a robbery? How did you get so hurt?” The doctor couldn’t help but ask, but Ji Naitang, who was lying in bed, didn’t answer, so he couldn’t ask any more.
But the doctor was surprised. This person looked like he was in his early twenties, but he had several wounds on his arm that looked like knife wounds. They were quite serious, but this person didn’t even groan when the doctor was treating the wounds.
“There are few youngsters who can endure so much pain.”
Ji Naitang looked up indifferently. Actually, he wasn’t enduring. These injuries were very painful of course. But he had long been used to it. A person would naturally adapt when he had been hurt so many times before.
After all, he had been enduring all kinds of pain since he was young.
The doctor looked at him and wanted to say something, but the door was pushed open. Cen Muqi had changed clothes and he walked inside. “How is he?”
“His injuries are serious, but fortunately, nothing vital was hurt. He should recuperate for a while. His dressings should be changed regularly.”
Cen Muqi nodded. He was a little injured earlier too, but they were all flesh wounds and didn’t matter. He went over to the bed and felt Ji Naitang’s forehead. It seemed to be a bit feverish. He asked in a low voice, “How do you feel? Are you feeling unwell anywhere else?”
Ji Naitang blinked. His eyes were red and his voice was choked and aggrieved. “My whole body hurts. It really hurts.”
Cen Muqi sighed and comforted, “You’ll feel better when the medicine takes effect.”
Ji Naitang gently rubbed Cen Muqi’s hand. He looked like he was acting coquettish. Cen Muqi’s heart softened a little. He turned to ask the doctor, “Can he use painkillers in this condition?”
The doctor had his mouth wide open in amazement. He really didn’t understand. Was the person who didn’t even grunt as if he felt no pain really the same person as this current one shouting that it was painful with red eyes?!
