Yang Kang watched as Mr. Shao parked the car in the underground parking lot of a large mall and asked curiously, "Boss, where are we going?"

"Buy work uniforms, didn't I just say that?" Mr. Shao smiled, "Akang, get out of the car, quickly!"

"Oh?" Yang Kang responded, got out of the car, and as he did, he checked his reflection in the car's rearview mirror. Fortunately, the red and swollen finger marks on his face had faded, so he wouldn't be a laughingstock.

"Let's go!" Mr. Shao directly led him into the mall, walked to the floor dedicated to men's clothing, and then found a sales assistant. Yang Kang didn't know what Mr. Shao said to the sales assistant, but she immediately led him with a smile to pick out clothes.

After trying on more than ten sets of clothes, sweat started to bead on Yang Kang's forehead. The mall's air conditioning was set very low, so it wasn't hot, but why did he always feel hot?

Moreover, aren't work uniforms usually custom-made? Why did Mr. Shao bring him directly to the mall to pick them out? Well, if he could just pick something from the mall, he would accept it, but this mall seemed different from ordinary malls. This was an internationally renowned luxury mall, in other words, everything here was not cheap.

"Boss, aren't work uniforms usually custom-made?" Yang Kang asked deliberately when no one was around.

"Isn't it too late for that?" Mr. Shao smiled smugly, "To get custom-made uniforms, I would have to wait until I return from abroad. So, for now, we can only make do with buying some clothes as work uniforms."

"Alright!" Yang Kang nodded, "Boss, why don't we just pick something cheaper and buy a set?"

"How can work uniforms be chosen casually?" Mr. Shao shook his head repeatedly, "Akang, you shouldn't have this attitude. If the work uniform is chosen casually, does it mean that your work will also be done carelessly?"

Yang Kang felt that he wasn't stupid, but why couldn't his thinking keep up with Mr. Shao's? He didn't know what to say in response to Mr. Shao's words.

"Come here, put on this shirt and let me see," Mr. Shao called out.

Yang Kang glanced at the shirt in Mr. Shao's hand. It had a deep blue background with faint golden patterns, exuding a touch of luxury in its understated elegance. He reached out to take it and immediately knew it was made of silk.

His eyes scanned the brand label, and he sighed softly in his heart. An internationally renowned luxury brand, the price was naturally not cheap. Otherwise, it wouldn't be called a luxury brand. Such a shirt would probably cost more than his annual salary.

Mr. Shao didn't care what he was thinking and directly pushed him into the fitting room. When he came out in the shirt, Mr. Shao looked at him, walked up to him, and straightened the collar of the shirt for him.

Yang Kang felt a sense of nostalgia. Since his mother passed away, it was just him and his father. Every holiday or on his birthday, Yang Chongxuan would take him to the mall to pick out clothes, and he would do things like straighten his collar or button his shirt.

As Yang Kang looked up, he saw a warm and loving smile in Mr. Shao's eyes, much like his father's in the past.

"Boss, your son has fair skin, he looks very good in this color," the pretty sales assistant said sweetly, praising Yang Kang's good looks and how well the shirt suited him.

Yang Kang was very embarrassed. It was one thing to praise his good looks, but to randomly call him someone's son? This misunderstanding was awkward, and he didn't know how to explain it.

"Is that so?" Mr. Shao smiled smugly, "I also think my son looks good, ha ha! Come, come, come, I'll take all these clothes, wrap them up for me." He pointed to the several outfits Yang Kang had tried on.

In an instant, both the pretty sales assistant and the salesgirl smiled broadly, clearly very happy. Yang Kang, however, was speechless. Mr. Shao had taken advantage of him, pretending to be his father, but these clothes were really too expensive. If he just wanted him to work well, buying a set to please him would have been fine, but buying so many... was it necessary? He could change into new clothes every day.

Mr. Shao didn't care what he thought, had the sales assistant wrap up the clothes, and then went to buy other things. The salesgirl carried several large and small bags, smiling broadly. Her commission for the day would be equivalent to half a year's work. Mr. Shao was truly generous.

Yang Kang tried to dissuade Mr. Shao several times from buying more, but Mr. Shao didn't listen. The entire car trunk was filled, and even the back seats were littered with shopping bags.

"Akang, what time is it?" Mr. Shao asked as he started the car.

Yang Kang took out his phone and said, "It's five o'clock!"

"Let's go eat first, I'm sure you're hungry," Mr. Shao said.

He didn't mention it, but as soon as he did, Yang Kang realized he was so hungry that his stomach hurt. He hadn't eaten breakfast, and he had only taken a few bites of lunch before the Jiang family ruined his appetite. Then he went to the bank and to Ruyi Workshop, so he hadn't eaten properly all day.

"I'm hungry, I'm almost starving," Yang Kang said with a bitter smile, "I didn't eat much for lunch today."

"Let's find a place to eat quickly," Mr. Shao said, immediately starting the car and finding a nearby Western restaurant, where they booked a private room.

As soon as they sat down in the private room, a waiter brought the menu. Mr. Shao took the menu, looked at it, and said, "I'll have a steak. Akang, how about a fish fillet?"

"Sure!" Yang Kang smiled.

Then Mr. Shao ordered a few more dishes and two cups of coffee. The fish fillet was quickly served. Yang Kang was so hungry that he didn't care and finished it in a few bites, feeling a bit more comfortable in his stomach.

"Akang, eat slowly... hmm, do you want another one?" Mr. Shao, who had only eaten a small part of his steak, asked hurriedly.

"No need, I think I was too hungry, and now I don't feel very hungry anymore," Yang Kang said. He was telling the truth. The fish fillet wasn't enough to satisfy his hunger, but he had eaten too quickly and now felt full.

"Have some snacks and coffee, let's chat," Mr. Shao said, pouring a cup of coffee, adding sugar and cream, and stirring it before pushing it to him, "I'm busy going abroad, so the store will be in your hands from now on."

"Sure!" Yang Kang took the coffee and smiled, "Don't worry."

"I have no worries!" Mr. Shao sighed, "The bottles on the shelves in my store are all ordered from Jingdezhen. They look good, but they're not antiques. If someone wants to buy them, the small ones are 2,000 yuan, and the large ones are 3,000 yuan. I won't sell them for less than that."
