"Alright!" Yang Kang responded, hurriedly walking to the desk to turn on the computer. Mr. Shao was not just an ordinary rich man; the laptop downstairs was a bit larger. He had seen this brand of laptop before, and this model would cost at least 20,000 yuan. The one upstairs was the same brand and model, just slightly smaller, but it wasn't cheap either.

The one downstairs was white, a very ordinary color, while the one upstairs was a custom color—a light gold that looked very luxurious, but it wasn't a standard color for this computer.

After Yang Kang had prepared the tea, Mr. Shao tidied up the bowls and chopsticks and came out, saying, "Ah Kang, I'm going out to buy some groceries!"

"Okay!" Yang Kang nodded and said, "The tea is ready. Why don't I go buy the groceries? It's quite hot outside with the sun shining."

"I'll go buy the groceries, and I'll also buy some other things. You just stay here and watch the shop," Mr. Shao said.

Yang Kang thought about how he was leaving the country tomorrow for five or six months and would need to prepare, so he understood.

Mr. Shao pointed to the computer and said, "Read some books, play some games, and see what games you like to install. Download the software you usually use."

"Oh?" Yang Kang looked up at him, puzzled.

"From now on, this place is yours!" Mr. Shao said.

"Alright!" Yang Kang quickly agreed, "Don't worry, boss."

After Mr. Shao left, Yang Kang sighed again. Mr. Shao was truly kind to him, making breakfast for him early in the morning. When he opened the computer, he found that Mr. Shao's computer was almost like a bare machine, with only the operating system installed. There was nothing else.

Right, the one upstairs was the same, with only the operating system installed. The computer seemed brand new, and he even wondered if anyone had used it.

Thinking about this, out of curiosity, Yang Kang couldn't help but check the serial number of the computer. He downloaded a software and found that the activation date was June 18th, and today was July 11th. It had been less than a month, no wonder there was nothing on it.

But wait, Yang Kang was puzzled. Zhou Bomin said that Ruyi Workshop had been open for over a year. Had Mr. Shao never used a computer before? Even if he didn't know how to use it, from the contract he printed yesterday, he seemed quite proficient, not like someone who was clueless...

Yang Kang carefully recalled that Ruyi Workshop was right across from Yuzhen Hall, but he had never seen Mr. Shao there. In fact, Ruyi Workshop was usually closed, and it didn't seem to be doing much business. From the entire setup of Ruyi Workshop, it was clear that Mr. Shao didn't put much effort into it. The upstairs study and bedroom were empty, proving that Mr. Shao had never lived there. However, both the study and bedroom were spotlessly clean.

Although Mr. Shao had never lived in Ruyi Workshop, Yang Kang found that everything that should be there was there... He shook his head, indicating that he didn't understand Mr. Shao's thinking.

While thinking, he started to download some commonly used software and install it. He hadn't finished when, around ten o'clock, he heard the car horn at the door. He hurriedly ran out and saw that Mr. Shao had already gotten out of the car and was opening the trunk, calling out, "Ah Kang, come help."

"Boss, what are these things?" Yang Kang was curious. The car trunk was filled with several large cardboard boxes.

"Ice cream, fruits, meat, and drinks... Don't just stand there talking, quickly move the ice cream inside and put it in the fridge so it doesn't melt," Mr. Shao instructed.

When Yang Kang picked up the box, he knew it contained ice cream. But he was leaving on a business trip tomorrow, why did he buy so much ice cream?

Regardless, he followed Mr. Shao's instructions and moved everything inside, putting the ice cream and drinks in the fridge.

"Ah Kang, where's your phone?" Mr. Shao asked.

"Ah?" Yang Kang was taken aback and immediately took out his phone, asking, "What for?"

Mr. Shao didn't say anything, just took out a white bag from the passenger seat and said, "I saw that your phone was too old, so I bought you a new one."

"No!" Yang Kang quickly shook his head, "Boss, I can't accept your things." He glanced at the white packaging and immediately realized it was the latest Apple model, which cost around 5,000 yuan. A phone that could make calls was fine; there was no need to buy such an expensive one. He felt that people who bought Apple phones were all super rich.

Of course, if his father were still around, he would have already gotten a new phone by now. But his father was gone.

"Why?" Mr. Shao asked, already taking apart his phone, removing the SIM card, and using a card cutter to cut the SIM card to fit the new phone.

"Boss, I really can't accept your things," Yang Kang hurriedly stopped him, "You already bought me a lot of things yesterday."

He thought carefully. Mr. Shao had bought him many things yesterday, and he didn't like owing people favors. Today, he couldn't accept the phone.

"I am your boss!" Mr. Shao looked at him seriously.

"Okay!" Yang Kang nodded. Yes, he was his boss, but he wasn't his father, so he couldn't just accept things from him.

"In large companies, the orders of superiors must be unconditionally followed by subordinates," Mr. Shao said seriously.

Yang Kang felt cold sweat on his forehead. He knew that this was indeed a rule in large companies; otherwise, if subordinates could casually disobey their superiors, how could a company function normally?

"Boss, this has nothing to do with work," Yang Kang said with a bitter smile.

"How can it not be related to work?" Mr. Shao said, "Your phone is bad, which hinders communication. You must understand that this is the information age, and information is very important."

Yang Kang felt that he couldn't argue with him. Mr. Shao seemed to be able to come up with many reasons that sounded reasonable but were hard to understand.

"Sit down and don't interfere!" Mr. Shao instructed.

Yang Kang sighed and sat down on a rattan chair, watching Mr. Shao finish setting up the phone. He skillfully connected the phone to the computer and typed on the keyboard. After about two minutes, Mr. Shao exclaimed, "I knew I was a genius, hahaha..."

Yang Kang looked at him and suddenly thought of something. Mr. Shao was definitely not clueless; he might just like a certain strange ringtone.

"Ah Kang, do you want me to help you download some software?" Mr. Shao asked cheerfully.

"No, I can do it myself," Yang Kang sighed, "Thank you, boss."

"Hehe..." Mr. Shao laughed proudly.
