In the evening, when Guo Fatzi came back, he made dinner. After the two of them ate, Guo Fatzi once again entered the "Tianxia" game, still not giving up on the idea of dominating the world.
Yang Kang was thinking about how Huang Tang had promised to arrange a meeting between him and the descendant of Chen Bijing. It had been more than a week, and there was still no news. He immediately made a call.
"Little Prince, what's up?" The phone was quickly answered by Huang Tang.
"What about that treasure map?" Yang Kang asked curiously.
"That person is sick," Huang Tang said. "I can't get through to him on the phone. We'll talk when he shows up next time."
"Who is the person who asked you to investigate me?" Yang Kang asked curiously. As for the person with the treasure map, he no longer had any expectations. This person was indeed a bit crazy.
Hearing Yang Kang ask this, Guo Fatzi immediately raised his head from the computer and perked up his ears to listen.
"I don't know!" Huang Tang sighed. "The next day, I called him to say that his commission was completed and asked him to bring the money to pick up the goods. In the evening, a man who looked like a bodyguard came, looked at the list, and left 70,000 yuan in cash before leaving. I immediately followed him in my car, but..."
Guo Fatzi couldn't care less about his "Tianxia" game anymore. He took the phone from Yang Kang and asked, "Chief Detective, how did your detective work go? You didn't lose the person, did you?"
"I really lost the person. He's a seasoned veteran, very familiar with all sorts of tricks," Huang Tang sighed.
"Do you have a photo of the person?" Guo Fatzi asked.
"Yes, because it's related to Little Prince, I kept a copy. I also had someone investigate, but found nothing," Huang Tang said. "My subordinates said he's definitely not from around here."
"Alright, send me the photo tomorrow. I know you're useless," Guo Fatzi said.
"Fine, I'll have someone send the photo to you tomorrow," Huang Tang couldn't help but scold, "What do you know, you fatso?"
"If I find out, you should change your name, Chief Detective," Guo Fatzi scolded. "You're so incompetent, yet you still belittle others? You don't need to send it to me; I'll come to your place tomorrow. I have some things to do and won't be at Ruyi Fang."
"Alright, I'm at—"
"I know where you are," Guo Fatzi said. "Little Prince mentioned it."
"Good, see you tomorrow." Huang Tang hung up the phone.
"Where are you going tomorrow?" Yang Kang asked, "Do you have plans in the evening?"
"Yes, I might come back a bit late in the evening," Guo Fatzi said. "What's up?"
"There's an antique exchange and auction at Langyuan tomorrow. I was planning to go and wanted you to come with me," Yang Kang said.
"I'm not an idiot, I'm just fat," Guo Fatzi laughed. "I'm not interested in that. You go and come back early."
"Actually, only those who are rich and foolish to a certain extent can afford to play with antiques," Yang Kang laughed.
"You're right!" Guo Fatzi laughed. "So, I call them fools for a reason."
The night passed without incident. The next morning, Guo Fatzi left early, instructing Yang Kang to buy lunch himself since he wouldn't be back to cook. He would return before dinner but would go out again.
Without Guo Fatzi, Yang Kang's days were a bit boring. He had lunch and then took a nap. Around five o'clock, Guo Fatzi returned, looking winded. He went to the bathroom to shower, changed clothes, and prepared dinner. After dinner, it was only 6:30, and Yang Kang, seeing it was still early, decided to read a book to pass the time.
"Fatzi, didn't you say you had plans in the evening?" Yang Kang asked, seeing Guo Fatzi playing Plants vs. Zombies on the computer.
"What time is the antique exchange?" Guo Fatzi asked.
"They said it starts at 8 PM, and the auction is at 10 PM," Yang Kang said.
"I'll take you there, then go out to do some errands. After the auction, come back on your own. I might not be able to pick you up," Guo Fatzi instructed.
Yang Kang hesitated for a moment and then asked, "What are you going to do?"
"My uncle came, and he asked me to do some errands. It's quite troublesome," Guo Fatzi waved his hand and said.
Yang Kang thought for a moment, still feeling uneasy, and finally asked, "Fatzi, is it dangerous?"
This fatso was very good to him, but he kept everything secret, which made Yang Kang very worried.
Seeing Yang Kang's worried face, Guo Fatzi shook his head and said, "Little Prince, what are you thinking? It's a bit troublesome, and I'm a bit annoyed—what's the point of all this fuss in such hot weather? But it has nothing to do with danger."
"Good, as long as it's not dangerous," Yang Kang said. "I know you have some skills, but..."
Hou Zhi and Guo Fatzi were clearly the same kind of people. The renovation at his place was very fast. In just over a week, it was almost done. Moreover, he didn't haggle over the price, especially when Guo Fatzi made a bunch of demanding requests, which made Yang Kang feel like he was just being difficult.
"Relax, don't worry!" Guo Fatzi smiled and looked up, seeing someone at the door. "Who is it?"
"It's me!" At the door, Wang Qiying and Mo Ming walked in together.
"Boss Mo, why are you here?" Yang Kang hurriedly stood up, welcoming them and inviting them to sit down.
"Please don't ignore me like that, okay?" Wang Qiying smiled bitterly.
"Mr. Wang, hello." Yang Kang was at a loss, feeling a bit sad to see Wang Qiying.
"We're going to Langyuan to see the antique exchange. We passed by here and decided to drop by," Mo Ming explained, greeting Guo Fatzi.
Guo Fatzi smiled like a big fool and said, "You sit down, I'll go cut some watermelon for you." He went to the kitchen and soon returned with the watermelon to serve them.
The three of them chatted and ate watermelon while Guo Fatzi continued playing Plants vs. Zombies. He felt that playing this kind of single-player game was better, at least only Yang Kang would laugh at him. As for "Tianxia"—he was just a person of the world, lacking the potential to "dominate."
Of course, the content of their conversation was about antiques, Tang Sancai, and Yuan Qinghua.
Then, somehow, the topic turned to bronze artifacts. Wang Qiying said, "Yang Kang, do you know, your uncle—"
"He's not my uncle!" Yang Kang quickly said.
"Alright, Jiang Yan bought a bronze bird zun from somewhere and is now trying to sell it. He's spreading the word that he'll bring it to Langyuan tonight. He must have had a stroke of luck to get a bronze bird zun?" Wang Qiying said.
"I don't know!" Yang Kang shook his head. "I'm curious too, let's see later."
"It's getting late, it's almost 8 PM. Shall we go?" Mo Ming said. "Little Prince, do you want to ride with me? Mr. Guo, are you coming?"
Since they came in, Guo Fatzi had been busy playing Plants vs. Zombies, only occasionally joining the conversation.
"I'm not going, I'm not interested in these things," Guo Fatzi shook his head. "If you take Little Prince, can you bring him back tonight?"
"Sure, no problem!" Mo Ming naturally agreed to Guo Fatzi's request. Honestly, he was looking for an opportunity to please Guo Fatzi.
"Alright, that's good!" Guo Fatzi lowered his head and continued planting sunflowers, peas, and cherry bombs. "Faster, the zombies are invading the home..."
"I'll go upstairs to change clothes, please wait a moment," Yang Kang said. Mr. Shao had repeatedly instructed him that if he went to Langyuan, he should dress appropriately to avoid being laughed at for being a stingy shop assistant.
Shao Wenmo seemed to have a good relationship with the owner of Langyuan.
