A strong sense of hunger surged from his abdomen, and Li Xiangdong could no longer afford to admire himself in the bathroom. He hurriedly rushed out, planning to get something to eat.

First, he returned to his room, changed into some clothes, and picked up his phone. It was already out of battery. He quickly turned on the TV to check the time, and Li Xiangdong was startled to find that it was already Monday.

He had been in seclusion since returning from the zoo owned by Mr. Huang, and without realizing it, an entire weekend had passed.

He was supposed to return to the police academy today, but considering it was already too late, he decided to skip class for the day. After all, he wasn't very popular at school, and no one would care if he missed a day.

He plugged in his phone to charge and went to the kitchen to prepare a meal for a few people. After eating, his phone was fully charged. As soon as he turned it on, he saw dozens of missed calls, all from his mother.

Li Xiangdong felt a wave of guilt and quickly called his mother. The line was busy for a moment, but it was soon answered.

However, it wasn't his mother who spoke, but a woman with a voice tinged with sobs.

"I am the son of Teacher Liu. Who are you? Why do you have my mother's phone?"

Li Xiangdong was puzzled as to how his mother's phone ended up in a stranger's hands.

"I am Teacher Liu's colleague. My name is Wang Luoshi. Teacher Liu was hit by a car..."

The woman on the other end sounded young, with a strong sob and a sense of urgency and helplessness. Li Xiangdong's mind buzzed when he heard that his mother had been hit by a car.

His family was a martyr's family. His father had gone missing when he was very young, and he was raised by his mother alone. The kindness of his mother was more important to him than anything else. Now, before he could repay her, she had been in a car accident. How could Li Xiangdong not be agitated?

"What? When did this happen? Where are you? Is my mother seriously injured?"

Li Xiangdong bombarded her with questions as he regained his composure. The woman on the other end sobbed as she replied.

"Just now, at the entrance of Longtou Village. Teacher Liu and I were coming back to visit, and we were hit at the entrance..."

"Call 120 first, I'll be right there..."

Li Xiangdong didn't even have time to change his clothes. He rushed out of the old house in a round-necked shirt, shorts, and slippers.

Longtou Village was nestled against a mountain and faced water. The village had only one entrance, about a thousand meters from his home. In the past, with his limited physical abilities, it would have taken him at least ten minutes to run to the scene.

But now, with his physical limitations removed and the power of the Four Divine Beasts, this distance was a piece of cake.

At the speed of a leopard, the 1,500-meter distance took less than a minute.

The people on the scene barely had time to react before they felt a gust of wind, and a young man in a round-necked shirt appeared before them.

Thanks to the recent road construction in the village, the village now had a cement road, and the entrance was paved with asphalt. In recent years, several families had started rural tourism projects, so there were many outsiders in the village. Due to the development of resorts and high-end villa complexes nearby, the village's security had deteriorated in recent years.

The scene was chaotic, with about twenty to thirty villagers and many guests who had come to enjoy the rural cuisine watching, but no one dared to step forward to help.

At the entrance of the village, a blue Toyota FJ Cruiser was blocking the road. The car's headlights were broken, and a deformed electric scooter lay under the car. Next to the scooter, a woman was lying face down, unconscious in the middle of the road.

Two large men stood next to the car, wearing black tank tops and white athletic pants, with Adidas shoes. One had a shaved head, and the other had a short, greenish stubble. They exuded a menacing aura.

Their exposed arms were covered in dragon and tiger tattoos, and their faces were full of evil intent. They showed no intention of helping the woman and were smoking nonchalantly.

The driver's side door of the Cruiser was open, and a man with a black face and a more sinister look was sitting in the driver's seat, his feet on the door step, smoking. The smell of alcohol could be detected from a distance, and the car's sound system was blaring "The Most Dazzling National Style." The man was swaying his head and puffing on his cigarette, showing no remorse for the accident and instead looking quite content.

Seeing this scene, Li Xiangdong's eyes turned red. He immediately recognized the woman lying under the car, unconscious, as his mother.

He pushed through the crowd, and two tall, strong men were knocked to the ground by a single push. They got up angrily, but seeing Li Xiangdong with red eyes and hair standing on end, they immediately backed down.

Li Xiangdong strode towards the Cruiser. Just as he was about to bend down to pull his mother out from under the car, the two men smoking by the car flicked their cigarette butts at him.

"Damn, kid, who are you? This is an accident scene. We've already called the insurance. What are you trying to do, tamper with the scene? If the insurance doesn't pay, will you pay?"

The two menacing men approached Li Xiangdong, but he suddenly looked up, startling them. His eyes were red, and the aura he exuded was that of a fierce beast, extremely dangerous.

"You hit a person, and you're not even trying to help. Instead, you're worried about insurance?"

Li Xiangdong laughed coldly, his anger evident.

"What does it have to do with us? The old woman was driving the wrong way. She's fully responsible. Besides, it wasn't a big deal, but she's lying on the ground, trying to extort money."

The two men, clearly intimidated by Li Xiangdong's fierce aura, spoke more politely and refrained from cursing.

"They're lying. They were the ones driving the wrong way and were drunk. After hitting someone, they wouldn't let us help."

A clear female voice came from behind Li Xiangdong. He turned to see a petite woman, her face tear-streaked, pointing at the two men and speaking.

"Are you Teacher Wang? My mother's colleague?"

Li Xiangdong asked. The woman nodded, but tears continued to stream down her face, as if she had been bullied.

Li Xiangdong turned to look at the two men. At some point, they had found two baseball bats, and with the bats in hand, they seemed more confident, their faces twisted into sinister smiles.

"Stop wasting time. No one is moving the scene today. We have to wait for the insurance people to arrive."

The bald man waved his bat menacingly, but he was also secretly observing Li Xiangdong's expression.

Without a word, Li Xiangdong lunged forward. Despite the five-meter distance, he reached the bald man in a single step.

The man's mouth opened wide in shock. He had never seen anyone take a five-meter step. Before he could react, Li Xiangdong struck.

With just a light punch, using only a fraction of his strength, he hit the bald man's diaphragm. The man flew backward.

The other man with the green stubble swung his bat at Li Xiangdong. Li Xiangdong sidestepped and kicked him, sending him flying with the bat.

With one punch and one kick, Li Xiangdong took down the two men, leaving the onlookers with their mouths agape.
