Lin Xiao took out the Broken Star Grass again and shook it like a raccoon. A flash of golden light, and this time the raccoon was smarter, rushing over directly. However, Lin Xiao reacted even faster, having anticipated the raccoon's move, and immediately put the grass back into his spatial storage after shaking it.
After two consecutive failures, the raccoon returned to the tree, jumping around in frustration. Its eyes, however, remained fixed on Lin Xiao, waiting for the moment he would take out the grass again to snatch it.
Lin Xiao watched the raccoon from a distance with a slight smile, thinking to himself, "I have a spatial storage; there's no way you can get it so easily." He chuckled to himself, feeling quite pleased.
The purple-gold mastiff, seeing its owner lost in thought with various expressions on his face, couldn't bear the current situation. It covered its eyes with its front paws, indicating it didn't want to see, finding the whole scene rather silly.
After a while, Lin Xiao finally snapped out of it, looking as if he had just had a revelation. It was unclear what had led to this change.
He took out the Broken Star Grass from his spatial storage again, holding it in his hand and smiling at the raccoon. The raccoon on the tree, seeing Lin Xiao take out the grass once more, narrowed its eyes and instantly sped over. A flash of golden light, and it was back on the tree in less than a breath, proudly showing off the item it had snatched to Lin Xiao.
Lin Xiao finally burst into laughter. At the last moment, he had put the Broken Star Grass back into his spatial storage and replaced it with a small stone in his hand. The raccoon, too excited to notice, was proudly showing off the stone.
The raccoon, seeing Lin Xiao laugh, was confused. It tilted its head, trying to understand why Lin Xiao was laughing. Its small brain couldn't figure it out, so it eventually gave up and looked at the item it had snatched.
"Bang!" The raccoon threw the stone to the ground with all its might, pointing at Lin Xiao and shouting from the tree, its face full of anger. To the raccoon, it was the little overlord of this forest, and being toyed with by Lin Xiao three times in a row was unbearable. If not for the strong attraction of the Broken Star Grass, it would have already gone berserk.
Time and again, the raccoon, failing to learn from its mistakes, was played by Lin Xiao. Every time Lin Xiao took out the Broken Star Grass, the raccoon, like a dog seeing a bone, would pounce without a second thought.
Finally, the raccoon, feeling both angry and embarrassed, looked at Lin Xiao with a furious expression. Lin Xiao took out the Broken Star Grass again, and the raccoon, as usual, rushed over.
Lin Xiao felt a tingling sensation on his face, touched it, and saw blood. The raccoon had already returned to the tree, holding its belly and laughing, celebrating its "victory" and clapping.
After being toyed with so many times, the raccoon realized that Lin Xiao was just playing with it. Although it couldn't understand why the important grass would disappear and reappear, it was determined to get it without Lin Xiao's permission.
Seeing the raccoon finally attack him, Lin Xiao smiled. This was exactly what he had intended. He took out the Broken Star Grass again, pointed at it, and made a gesture indicating that it would be given to the raccoon after defeating him.
The raccoon's eyes lit up. To it, Lin Xiao was like a wooden dummy, standing still and waiting to be hit.
Without hesitation, the raccoon charged forward, circling Lin Xiao and starting its attack. Lin Xiao activated his Fist Breaking technique, waiting for the raccoon's assault.
The purple-gold mastiff saw a circle of golden light surrounding Lin Xiao and watched carefully, but it made its head spin. It shook its head, feeling dizzy, and sat down.
Lin Xiao, seeing the raccoon circling him at an incredible speed, could only see a golden blur. He frowned.
Gradually, the raccoon began attacking Lin Xiao, leaving claw marks on his face, hands, legs, chest, and back. Drops of blood stained Lin Xiao's clothes red.
All Lin Xiao could see was a golden blur surrounding him. As time passed, his face became increasingly pale. Each time he punched, the raccoon, moving at high speed, dodged, causing no damage.
'I will see it.'
'Right here.'
'I can feel it.'
'Just a little more.'
Lin Xiao's eyes, which had been wide open, finally closed. Was he giving up? He didn't even look.
More than half an hour passed. Lin Xiao's clothes were torn into strips, and his body was covered in claw marks, making him look like a blood-soaked figure. The raccoon, standing not far away, was only slightly out of breath, showing no signs of injury. The outcome was clear.
But this wasn't enough for Lin Xiao. He thought to himself, "Just a little more, I'm almost there."
The raccoon gestured, indicating that Lin Xiao had lost. Lin Xiao, however, shook his head, saying he hadn't fallen and therefore hadn't lost. He smirked at his wounds, implying that the attacks were too weak to defeat him.
The raccoon roared and charged again. Initially, it had been afraid of killing Lin Xiao and losing the grass, but now it didn't care. Lin Xiao had provoked it too many times, and finally, the raccoon unleashed its full speed.
This time, the raccoon's speed increased by another level, creating the illusion of ten raccoons surrounding Lin Xiao. This wasn't a cloning technique but a result of its speed, leaving afterimages that persisted, creating the appearance of multiple raccoons. This was the raccoon's proud skill.
Lin Xiao slowly closed his eyes, thinking, "This is it. If I don't succeed, I'll be done. My head is blank, and my face is pale."
In an instant, the ten raccoons jumped, each attacking from a different angle, as if ten of them were surrounding Lin Xiao.
This was a result of the eyes not keeping up with the speed. Lin Xiao's body was covered in dozens more claw marks, deeper and more vicious than before, showing that the raccoon was giving it its all.
The pain didn't make Lin Xiao utter a sound. His eyes remained closed, and his face was calm, but inside, he was sensing something, a thoughtful expression that was somewhat reassuring.
Time continued, and the raccoon's attacks didn't stop. The wounds increased, and Lin Xiao began to wobble.
Just as another attack was about to come, Lin Xiao suddenly smiled, his bloodless face showing a smile. At that moment, Lin Xiao moved. He slightly tilted his head, took a step back, turned to the left, and raised his left arm by a centimeter, all in a split second.
This series of movements caused all the raccoon's attacks to miss, and the afterimages disappeared. The raccoon, seeing Lin Xiao still smiling, was confused. It tilted its head, no longer maintaining the afterimages, and appeared in front of Lin Xiao.
