Chapter 71

Recently, the raccoon has become more fond of sleeping, spending at least eighteen hours a day in deep slumber. This has left the Zijin Mastiff without a playmate, often coming to wander around Lin Xiao. It seems the raccoon has eaten the Star Fragment Grass and is probably in the process of strengthening, needing deep sleep to digest the medicinal power in its body.

Every morning, Lin Xiao takes the Zijin Mastiff out for a walk and some sun. After breakfast, he moves a recliner to the balcony, lying there to read novels and pass the time, with the Zijin Mastiff lying beside him.

Lin Xiao has completely embraced the laziness in his body. Recently, as long as he can lie down, he does, and except for cooking, he mostly spends his time lazily lying on the recliner.

He is almost getting a laziness disease, eating and sleeping every day, a life that many envy, living like a pig without the threat of being slaughtered.

As days passed, Lin Xiao spent more time in the space. Not only are the peaches almost ripe, but the Huiyang fruits are also nearly ready. Unexpectedly, the bees he had let in and ignored have already produced honey, which can be considered a pleasant surprise.

Overjoyed, Lin Xiao immediately found some tools and began to collect the honey. There was quite a lot; the honey collected from over a dozen peach trees amounted to more than one and a half pounds. He found a glass bottle, filled it, and brought it out of the space.

Of course, good things should be tasted first. Lin Xiao went to the kitchen, took a cup, put some honey in it, and poured some hot water.

The thick honey mixed with the hot water from the space, releasing a fragrant aroma. Lin Xiao inhaled deeply, swallowed, and couldn't resist bringing the cup to his lips.

"Hmm, this taste is really good. Pure, top-quality honey, with a genuine flavor and a hint of peach blossom. It's excellent," Lin Xiao thought as he sipped the honey.

After drinking, Lin Xiao stared at the honey with shining eyes. Recently, everything he ate, from rice to vegetables, was cooked with space water, which had spoiled his taste.

Lin Xiao had tasted honey before, but this was the first time he had tasted such fragrant and sweet honey. The pure, natural flavor was intoxicating.

Looking at the remaining honey in the glass, Lin Xiao was in a dilemma. Should he enjoy it alone or share it with others?

However, he didn't agonize for long and made a decision. There will be more in the future. I just need to plant more peach trees. There are no seasons in the space, so if I stagger the planting times, I will have honey to drink all year round.

"Ha ha ha, I am a genius," Lin Xiao said proudly.

But looking at the two pounds of honey, it wasn't easy to divide. He decided to keep a little for himself and give the remaining one and a half pounds to Ye Ge, He Ge, and Old Chen. He still hadn't found a way to thank Old Chen for his help, and this honey could be considered a longevity-boosting good thing.

After making up his mind, Lin Xiao took out his phone and called Ye Ding first.

"Beep" "Beep"

"What's up, little brother? Is there something you need?" Ye Ding answered the phone.

"Ye Ge, I have something good. Do you want it?" Lin Xiao said mysteriously.

"What good thing could make you call me specifically? It must be something special," Ye Ding said.

"Ha ha, you'll see. This is something I'm reluctant to drink myself. See, I thought of you as soon as I got something good," Lin Xiao continued mysteriously.

"Since you're being so mysterious, I guess I'll have to come over," Ye Ding said with a chuckle.

"I just got it and haven't even warmed it up yet," Lin Xiao said pitifully.

"Alright, I'll head over now. I want to see what has you being so mysterious," Ye Ding said and hung up.

Lin Xiao divided the honey in the glass bottle into four parts, keeping one for himself and preparing the other three to give away.

"Open the door." Ye Ding appeared outside Lin Xiao's villa in less than two hours, pressing the doorbell.

Lin Xiao opened the door with his phone, and Ye Ding rushed up, seeing a transparent bottle in front of Lin Xiao, filled with clear, orange-yellow honey.

"Is this what you were talking about, little brother?" Ye Ding asked, pointing at the honey.

"Yes," Lin Xiao said confidently.

"Little brother, I've tasted a lot of honey, including some of the best. Are you sure this is good?" Ye Ding said with a chuckle.

"Yes," Lin Xiao replied simply, showing his confidence in the honey from his space.

"Then I'll have to try it and see if it's real," Ye Ding said, his curiosity piqued by Lin Xiao's confident expression.

"Wow, it's delicious," Ye Ding said immediately after taking the first sip.

"The best of the best, not only pure and natural, but also with a hint of peach blossom, leaving a lasting aftertaste and a fragrant mouthfeel," Ye Ding said, nodding his head after finishing.

With his eyes closed, Ye Ding savored it for a long time, then opened his eyes, staring at the honey on the table with bright eyes, rubbing his hands and asking, "Little brother, are all these for me?"

"Yes, Ye Ge, I hope you're not disappointed," Lin Xiao said with a smile.

"No, no, no, this is really good stuff," Ye Ding said, waving his hands.

"Ye Ge, can you take this bottle for Old Chen? I'll call him later. I haven't thanked him for the last time, and this honey is a small token of my gratitude, not worth much," Lin Xiao said, taking another bottle from under the table and handing it to Ye Ding.

"Sure, just tell me the truth, how much honey do you have left?" Ye Ding asked, seeing Lin Xiao take out another bottle. He was already thoroughly hooked on the honey.

"I have about two pounds of honey. You have one pound, and I have less than one pound left, with half a pound to give away. Ye Ge, you were the first I called, and I thought of you first when I got something good. If there's more in the future, I'll let you know," Lin Xiao explained.

"Just kidding, don't mind it," Ye Ding said, changing his expression and patting Lin Xiao's shoulder with a chuckle.

"Then I'll leave Old Chen's share to you," Lin Xiao continued.

"No problem, leave it to me," Ye Ding said.

After a few more words, Ye Ding bid farewell to Lin Xiao and drove back.

Lin Xiao picked up the phone, found Old Chen's number, and called him.

"Beep" "Beep"

"Hello, who is this?" Old Chen's deep voice came from the phone.

"Hello, Old Chen, it's Lin Xiao," Lin Xiao said.

"Oh, Xiao Lin, is there something you need?" Old Chen asked.

"Here's the thing, I just asked Ye Ge to bring you a bottle of honey. He will be at your place soon," Lin Xiao said.

"Thank you, I'll accept it with gratitude," Old Chen said without hesitation, knowing Lin Xiao's intentions but not pointing them out, appreciating the gesture.
