I called a small family meeting to tell everyone what had happened it was just me, mom, Mary, and Madison until mom called everyone and told them that Ethan and Grayson were moving. Mom said I could take the day off to say goodbye to Ethan but she wanted me to go to school more now.

I agreed but that night I couldn’t sleep. All I could think about was how far apart we would be. It would take me twenty-eight hours to drive to LA from New Jersey. When morning finally came Mary drove me to Ethan’s house he opened the door and wrapped me into a hug. We stood together for a good minute until Grayson called from down the stairs “Ethan time to go!” Ethan lead me into his house. He went upstairs grabbed a bag then came back down.

Lisa comes down the stairs tears streaming from her eyes. I hug her quickly than lead her to the door. “It’s so good of you to take them to the airport.” she says to me “I couldn’t go on without seeing him go,” I say sadly Lisa nods her head knowingly Grayson walks down the stairs with Sean hot on his heels.

Sean high wives me then turns to his sons. “You guys call us if you need anything at all. We’ll be here for you. Always.” Sean hugs his sons then Lisa hugs them “Call me every day I want to know everything!” she hugs them one last time then Cameron walks down the stairs and grabs her keys.

“Come on losers let’s go” she walks out the door and I follow. Grayson gets into the passager seat while Ethan and I sit in the back. I hold Ethan’s hand the whole way to the airport. Cameron parks then walk us in. Ethan and I walk super close to each other when we get to his gate we wait until they call his flight.

Cameron gets up and hugs her brothers then Ethan turns to me. We hug for a long time until we pull apart and kiss. I savor the flavor of his lips as we pull apart “Ethan before you go remember I love you no matter what” he hugs me again “that goes double for me Maria” I let go of him and hold back tears until he walks onto the plane.

Once they close the doors to the plane I knew our relationship was over.
