Xu Mo's face darkened, and Liu Qian glared at her.

Guo Xia immediately realized she had misspoken and laughed dryly as she explained, "Hehe, I meant the two of them." She pointed at Zhao Hongzhe and Xu Tao.

Liu Qian grunted and then instructed, "I'll help Brother Xu take the luggage. You two stay here and rest."

Su Yan smiled and said, "I'll take a walk around."

Liu Qian hurriedly warned, "Don't wander off."

Xu Mo also said, "It's best not to go too far. Last night, I went to a courtyard by the river and almost got bitten by a dog."

Su Yan replied, "I'll just walk around a bit, not too far. By the way, when we came down from the mountain earlier, I saw some greenery in the valley. It might be sweet potatoes or potatoes. We can dig them up and roast them for dinner. I'll go check it out."

After the impromptu picnic last night, she seemed to be enchanted by it, often mentioning it while working today.

Xu Mo and Liu Qian no longer tried to persuade her. They walked to the car, opened the trunk, and took out two large suitcases.

The suitcases were filled with a fragrant aroma. Liu Qian leaned over them, took a few deep breaths, and said in a dazed manner, "So fragrant, so fragrant. It must be from that girl."

Xu Mo smiled, and the two of them each carried a suitcase and walked up the mountain.

Liu Qian complained, "This girl, just staying on the mountain for a few days, and she brings so much luggage."

Xu Mo asked, "Do you know her?"

Liu Qian replied, "Shen Bancheng's daughter. How many people in the underworld don't know her?" He then laughed awkwardly, "I used to follow a big brother, but later I felt it had no future, so I left. After a few years of mixing, I didn't learn any skills and ended up struggling in society, eventually falling to this state."

He glanced at Xu Mo, "Brother Xu, you look different from me. You must be a college student, right? Why are you like this?"

This question stirred Xu Mo's heart, and he felt a pang of sadness, remaining silent.

Liu Qian quickly changed the subject, "Shen Bancheng's daughter is said to have gone abroad for studies. It's not winter break yet, so I wonder why she's back. But after a few years, she looks even more beautiful."

He then sighed, "A wife should be like her."

Xu Mo, however, had no more heart for conversation. The two suitcases, filled with clothes, were not light. After walking and resting for half an hour, they finally reached the villa halfway up the mountain.

The villa was built into the hillside, hidden among the trees, looking quite old but exuding a rustic charm.

The yard was surrounded by a fence. The two men rang the doorbell, and after a moment, the man in the suit opened the door, glanced at them, and said unhappily, "Why did it take you so long? You can't even do a simple task."

Xu Mo and Liu Qian did not argue.

The man in the suit continued, "Bring them in."

He led them into the yard, which was planted with many unknown trees. The trees were sparsely planted but arranged in a way that perfectly concealed the yard's scenery, making the villa look like a beauty half-hidden behind a lute.

The villa's exterior was dark green, with carved wooden windows and a heavy pear wood door. Looking inside, the hall seemed very deep. The girl was leaning on a carved wooden sofa, her back to the door, reading a book.

For a moment, Xu Mo felt as if he had traveled back in time to an old era.

The hall was carpeted, but the man in the suit did not let them enter, stopping them and saying, "That's enough, put them down."

Liu Qian, looking at the girl's slender shoulders, couldn't help but swallow, and loudly said, "Miss Shen, we've brought the luggage."

The girl turned her face slightly, and from the door, only a bit of her pale cheek was visible. She did not respond to Liu Qian but softly said, "A Jin, let them go."

A Jin, the man in the suit, quickly replied, "Yes, Miss," and then waved at Xu Mo and Liu Qian, "Put the luggage down, you can leave."

Liu Qian raised his voice, "Miss Shen, I used to follow Brother Hu San."

The girl still ignored him, not even turning her face. A Jin, impatient, said, "What Hu San, Hu Si, just go, go."

Liu Qian's face showed obvious disappointment. He put down the luggage, glanced at the girl's back one last time, and then left with Xu Mo.

As soon as the two left the yard, the door closed immediately.

Xu Mo couldn't help but ask, "Did you know her before?"

Liu Qian shook his head, "This girl is very proud, how could she know me?" He paused and continued, "As for Brother Hu San, he was a leader I used to follow, one of Shen Bancheng's men. I thought this girl might know him and could use it as an opportunity to talk to her. But it turns out that even though Hu San seems to be doing well, in her eyes, he's just a small fry, not even worth mentioning."

He sighed, his voice filled with deep resentment, as if suddenly burdened with many troubles, thinking of something.

His expression was uncertain, and after a long time, he lowered his head and muttered to himself, "This can't go on. I can't be poor and looked down upon all my life. But after leaving that path, do I have to go back?"

Xu Mo, hearing his mumbling, didn't know what he was saying, and couldn't help but ask, "What are you saying?"

Liu Qian didn't answer, suddenly walked forward, and kicked a stone far away. His face became solemn, and he clenched his teeth, as if making a vow, "If I don't die, I will surely become wealthy and powerful."

"Originally, it was because of that girl's provocation," Xu Mo finally understood. But then he thought of himself, whose situation was similar to Liu Qian's, or even worse.

He seemed to have a new plan. What would his future be like?

At that moment, neither of them spoke, and they walked down the mountain, returning to the square.

Seeing the two, Su Yan laughed from a distance, "You're back. Look what I found." She showed off the green fruits in her hand.

Xu Mo then noticed that she was holding several green fruits. The fruits were shaped like dates, covered in white hair, exactly like the illustration on the third page of the Book of Revelation.

Xu Mo was startled and quickly said, "These fruits are poisonous, don't eat them, throw them away quickly."

"How could that be?" Su Yan laughed, "I tried one, and it tasted good, but you need to wash them first."

She pointed at the green fruits in her hand and explained, "These wild fruits are strange. They have so much white hair on the outside, and I thought it was part of them, but it washes off with water. Who wants to try one?"

Xu Mo, worried, asked, "How long have you been eating them?"

Su Yan replied, "For quite a while. Not just me, Guo Xia and the others have been eating them too. Don't worry, they're not poisonous. If they were, I would be the first to die."

Xu Mo glanced at the others, who indeed didn't seem to be poisoned, and wondered, "If these fruits are not poisonous, why are they in the Book of Revelation? And when the off-road vehicle came, there was no accident. Does the Book of Revelation really have no meaning? If it has no meaning, how could the person who put the Book of Revelation in my room know I would come to this place and include these items in the book?"

While he was still puzzled, Liu Qian had already taken a fruit from Su Yan, washed it at a nearby water well, and eaten it. Xu Mo wanted to stop him, but it was too late.

Su Yan laughed and looked at him, asking, "Do you want one?"

"Share the good stuff, let us try too."

A voice suddenly came from behind. Xu Mo turned to see the tall and thin 'Xiao Chen' and the off-road vehicle driver walking over. They approached, and the driver looked at the green fruits in Su Yan's hand and smiled, "What's this good stuff? Give me one."

Su Yan handed the green fruits to them, and 'Xiao Chen' and the driver each took one.

Su Yan reminded them, "Wash them before eating."

'Xiao Chen' went to the water well to wash his, while the driver just wiped it on his hand and put it in his mouth, chewing and mumbling, "A little dirt never hurt anyone."

Xu Mo was tense, watching the two, thinking, "What will happen after they eat the fruits?"

Then, 'Xiao Chen' and the off-road vehicle driver got into the vehicle, and the engine started.

Hearing the engine start, Xu Mo was startled again: "Do these two events need to be connected?"

Just as he was wondering, the vehicle suddenly accelerated and headed straight toward him. Xu Mo, prepared, quickly jumped out of the way. The vehicle, accelerating too fast, ran a short distance and then stalled, crashing into a small ditch. Xu Mo was drenched in cold sweat.

He heard 'Xiao Chen' shout in fear, "What's going on? Lao Li, how did you drive?"

Lao Li was even more surprised, "It's like a ghost. I was clearly reversing, but it suddenly accelerated forward."

"Reversing?" 'Xiao Chen' shouted, "I clearly saw you in third gear."

"How could that be?" Lao Li argued, "I was in reverse."

'Xiao Chen' sneered, "How can reversing go forward? Check the gear, see if it's third or reverse." Without waiting for Lao Li's response, he said, "Let's switch, I'll drive."

Lao Li also realized the problem and didn't insist, "Okay."

They got out of the car, and 'Xiao Chen' glanced at Xu Mo and smiled, "Bro, you weren't scared, right?"

Lao Li, fearing Xu Mo would take advantage of the situation, quickly added, "I saw him jump out of the way, he wasn't hit."

Xu Mo subconsciously shook his head, his face pale, but his mind was on the Book of Revelation. At that moment, he had only one thought:

"The content of the Book of Revelation is true, the accident is supposed to happen here."
