Dent and Robin arrived in front of Wayne Tower.
Robin: "We're here... (looking at the tower) I've heard that Wayne's place is the safest in all of Gotham. It's really as secure as they say."
Dent: "You were still thinking about climbing over the wall to sneak in?"
Robin: "Climb what wall? The whole building is his. If we want to get in, we'd have to climb the wall or pretend to be internal staff and sneak in..."
Dent: "Don't be ridiculous. It's not worth breaking the law for this silly mission. Let's just go through the front door. If it doesn't work, we'll go back."
Robin: "Go back?" — confused
Dent: "Yes. Director Gao sent us to seek sponsorship, but he didn't say we had to succeed. This is already a bit of a stretch. As long as we leave a record that we came, he won't blame us afterward."
I (narrator): "You're quite clever, aren't you?"
Robin: "The old lunatic didn't even say anything like 'failure is not an option'..." — recalling the scene
Dent: "Right? What we need to do is chat with the guards at the entrance, and then get kicked out. After that, we can let Director Gao take over."
At the front gate of Wayne Tower
Security Guard A: "What brings you two gentlemen to Wayne Tower? Do you have an appointment?"
Dent: "We're here to meet Mr. Wayne on business. Director Gao said he helped us make an appointment."
Security Guard B: "Please wait, let me check... Director Gao?"
Dent: "Yes."
Security Guard B: "I'm sorry, but Mr. Wayne recently issued a notice canceling all appointments for today to make time for an important client. I have three appointments with Director Gao here (Wayne's schedule), and regardless of which one is yours, they have all been canceled. I apologize for the inconvenience."
Dent: "Is that so? Can't you make an exception? It won't take much of Mr. Wayne's time."
Security Guard A: "Please don't make this difficult for us. This is a direct order from Mr. Wayne."
Dent: "Sigh, what a pity." — turning to leave
Robin: "Wait, you're just going to leave?" — pulling Dent back
Dent: "Yes, what else can we do? Wayne canceled the appointment, not us. If Director Gao is upset, he'll take it out on Wayne, not us. Why stay?"
Robin: "You're right about that, but you haven't even introduced yourself yet."
Dent: "Introduced myself? I did, with Director Gao." — not understanding
Robin: "You're wrong. The old lunatic wanted you to introduce the name of our production team, not 'Director Gao.'"
Dent: "Nijia-yeye?"
Robin: "Yes." — nodding
Dent: "You still say 'yes'? The security guards were so polite to us, and you want to play a trick on them before leaving? That's not very nice."
Robin: "It's not about being nice or not. If we don't mention the production team, we won't have completed the task the old lunatic gave us. If we fail, we'll be in trouble."
I (narrator): "You'll be in trouble, won't you? Dent can just leave the production and find other work, but you're completely under the old man's control. You can't run away."
Dent: "Hmph, are you trying to get back at me for something? You thought it was nonsense before, and I'm not going to be that foolish. Why go looking for trouble by introducing the production team? Fine, you go, but don't involve me."
Robin: "Why are you so petty? Fine, fine, fine, I'll go alone."
Dent: "Go ahead. I'll wait until I'm far enough away, then you can tell the guards 'Your grandpa is here.'" — turning and walking away
After Dent walked far away, Robin went up to introduce himself.
Dent: "One, two, three, four, five..." — counting the time, estimating when Robin would be kicked out by the guards, and observing from a distance
Dent: "Forty-four, forty-five, forty-six... That's not right, what's going on?" — seeing Robin waving to him with a smile
I (narrator): "Didn't expect that, did you?"
Dent cautiously walked up.
Dent: "What happened? Did you beat up the guards?" — looking into the guardhouse
Robin: "What are you talking about? I wouldn't do something that stupid."
Dent: "Then what happened? Did you really tell them 'Your grandpa is here'?" — disbelieving
Security Guard A: "If you had said you were from the Nijia-yeye production team, we would have let you in. Mr. Wayne even canceled other appointments for you..." — interjecting
Dent: "But I mentioned 'Director Gao'..." — confused
Security Guard B: "You should have called him 'Director Gao.' 'Director Gao' is too easily confused with others. Luckily, your colleague was smart."
Dent: "He's not smart, he's just naive..." — muttering
Security Guard A: "I've already informed Mr. Wayne of your arrival... (seeing an elderly man coming out of Wayne Tower) That's Mr. Wayne's butler, Ah Fu. He's here to welcome you."
I (narrator): "This butler doesn't have much of a presence... except that he's a thin, small man."
Ah Fu: "Please follow me, Mr. Wayne has been waiting for you." — leading the two into Wayne Tower
Dent: "Ah, yes, thank you for showing us the way." — flustered, behaving cautiously, afraid of making a mistake
Robin: "Wow, this is inside Wayne Tower! I could only look from the outside before, and now I'm finally inside!" — excited, like a child in a playground
Dent: "Robin! Don't be rude!" — anxious
Dent: "I'm sorry, he's just a country bumpkin. Please don't mind him." — apologizing to Ah Fu
Ah Fu: "Hehehe, it's fine, it's fine. You're both guests, no need to be so formal. Please feel at ease." — not caring at all
Robin: "Exactly, why be so formal? Old man, let me press the elevator button for you." — running to press the elevator button
Ah Fu: "No need, no need. Mr. Wayne is in the top-floor VIP lounge. You can't get there with the regular elevators. You need to take the dedicated elevator." — swiping an IC card at a machine in front of a row of (three) independent elevators, then verifying his fingerprint and retina
Ah Fu: "Please." — the dedicated elevator opens
Dent, Robin: "..." — stunned
I (narrator): "Two country bumpkins."
