Contrary to General Ross's expectations, the purple giant monster (Eva-01) did not immediately charge towards the coast. Instead, it knelt on one knee with its fists clenched (in a praying posture), concentrating the "flesh" on its body into its hands, gradually forming a thick "flesh shield."

Captain America: "It seems this purple giant monster isn't a mindless beast. It knows the power of the fleet's concentrated fire and is preparing for defense."

General Ross: "Hmph, preparing for defense? Even with that thickness of a flesh shield, it would still be blown to pieces if it gets close. It would need a super-sized Nirvana steel shield to even think about breaking through the Seventh Fleet's firepower net."

Recon Team Member B: "A super-sized Nirvana steel shield? What about the bottom of a space shuttle?" — suddenly interjected.

General Ross: "The bottom of a space shuttle? How could that withstand concentrated artillery fire? Maybe it could barely block high-temperature beams or electromagnetic cannons. Why are you asking this?" — feeling puzzled.

Recon Team Member B: "Somehow, this scene seems familiar, but it's not exactly the same as in my memory. It shouldn't be purple with a shield; it should be yellow..." — muttering to himself.

General Ross: "Yellow? What nonsense are you talking? The other giant monster is red... Right! Where is that red giant monster? Is it active?"

Aide: "Everyone was so focused on the purple giant monster that we forgot about the red one still lying in the square. The 'flesh shield' blocked our view, so we don't know what they're doing behind the shield. Quickly, send the unmanned reconnaissance drone to check if it's still there!" — loudly ordering Recon Team Member A to snap back to attention.

Recon Team Member B: "Yeah! If it somehow sneaks underwater and starts attacking from beneath the ships, it would be troublesome." — recalling the classic scene of the "red monster" lifting a warship.

General Ross: "Sneak underwater and attack from beneath the ships? Are you talking nonsense again? Do you think our fleet's sonar operators are deaf? How could such a large monster sneak under the fleet? Are you scared out of your wits?" — angry.

Recon Team Member B: "No, no..." — hurriedly denying.

General Ross: "If not, focus on your work and stop daydreaming and slacking off! Don't you know what time it is?" — scolding.

Recon Team Member B: "Yes, yes." — lowering his head and getting back to work.

Recon Team Member A: "General, the unmanned reconnaissance drone you ordered to be launched has reached the new Siro area and is transmitting real-time video. Please look." — connecting the real-time video to the large screen in the command room.

General Ross: "Well done, now we can see what they're doing behind the shield (watching the large screen)... The red one has indeed woken up... Wait, what's in its hands!"

I (narrator): "You're asking what's in Unit 02's hands? Are you even a soldier, not recognizing a rifle? Though it's a bit oddly shaped."

Captain America: "... It looks like a flesh-made giant rifle."

General Ross: "A flesh-made giant rifle? How much damage can it do to steel warships..." — dismissively, feigning calm.

Aide: "General, the red giant monster is aiming the giant rifle at us, using the purple shield as support!"

Just as the aide finished speaking, Unit 02's giant rifle "fired," launching a missile-like long object towards the Seventh Fleet.

General Ross: "Calculate the trajectory, prepare to intercept!!"

Aide: "It's too late..."

"Boom" — a huge impact sound rang out near the Blue Ridge.

General Ross: "Which ship was hit? Report quickly!"

Aide: "It's the USS Shiloh (CG-67) missile cruiser."

General Ross: "Why the Shiloh (sighing)... What's the extent of the damage?"

Aide: "This... We can't contact them via radio, possibly because the Shiloh's radio communication equipment was damaged."

General Ross: "Then switch to optical communication (flag signals, etc.), and quickly establish contact with them. Convey my orders; we still need them to intercept the enemy's missiles!"

Aide: "General, the enemy didn't fire missiles; they fired giant [bone spears]." — pointing to the large sections of [bone spears] protruding from both sides of the Shiloh's hull.

General Ross: "[Bone spears]? Such primitive things? How did they fire it with such high speed to penetrate the cruiser's hull?" — finding it hard to believe his eyes.

Captain America: "When the giant rifle fired the [bone spears], there was no flash or explosion. It was likely launched using compressed air."

General Ross: "Are you saying the USS Shiloh missile cruiser was hit by an air gun?"

Captain America: "... You could say that."

General Ross: "How is that possible? The Shiloh is the most advanced missile cruiser in the Seventh Fleet! This is not scientific!" — emotionally agitated due to the damage to his beloved ship.

I (narrator): "So what if it's the most advanced missile cruiser? It's not the thickest or the strongest. Is it really that shocking?"

Captain America: "General Ross, don't dwell on this. Focus on preventing the next attack..."

General Ross: "Prevent what!! Open fire directly, the entire fleet, destroy those two monsters!!"

Aide: "General, General, the enemy is too far from the fleet; the ship's guns can't reach them..."

General Ross: "Then launch Tomahawk cruise missiles and electromagnetic cannons. Contact the air force and frontline ground troops, and request their artillery support. Concentrate all the firepower of the navy, army, and air force to eliminate them!!"

Following General Ross's attack order, the various ships began attacking the two giant monsters standing in the new Siro square. The USS Cowpens cruiser, just after launching a Tomahawk cruise missile, followed the Shiloh's fate, being pierced and set on fire by Unit 02's [bone spear].

General Ross: "This time, it's the Cowpens?"

Aide: "Sir, the enemy is doing this intentionally, targeting the missile cruisers with interception capabilities first..."

General Ross: "I know. They are prioritizing the destruction of our missile defense system to ensure their [bone spears] are not intercepted. But we shouldn't focus on this now. How much time is there between the two [bone spears] being fired?"

Aide: "Seventy-five seconds."

General Ross: "Hmph, so this is the highest firing rate of that flesh gun. Even if this attack doesn't completely eliminate them, they won't be able to harm the ships anymore." — full of confidence.

I (narrator): "What did General Ross see to be so confident? Did he find a way to counter them?"
