"Grandson, get down on your knees!"
Chen Hongtao's words were like a lit fuse, causing the emotions of the group to explode. The few thugs, seeing their leader knocked to the ground, rushed forward. Chen Hongtao and Cao Junwei didn't stand idle either; they started to fight back with their weapons.
Xu Junran, however, turned and pushed the still-dazed Sun Jingyun, whispering, "Run!"
After saying that, he turned around and charged at the thugs.
Sun Jingyun hesitated for a moment, then ran toward the restaurant.
Xu Junran and his two companions were quickly surrounded. A group fight can be over in just a few minutes. In less than two minutes, Xu Junran, Cao Junwei, and Chen Hongtao were beaten up, their noses and faces bruised and swollen.
The reason was simple: heroes can't stand against a crowd. The other side had over a dozen people. Even though Cao Junwei and Xu Junran had trained for a few years, they couldn't win with Chen Hongtao, who was a second-rate fighter.
Fortunately, because they were fewer in number, the three of them stood back-to-back and weren't caught.
However, Xu Junran and the others no longer looked cool. Their faces were bruised and swollen, and their clothes were torn, making them look like beggars.
"Grandson, get down on your knees and lick my feet. Maybe I'll be in a good mood and let you go."
The long-haired man, who had been knocked down by Xu Junran and then kicked fiercely by Chen Hongtao, wiped the blood from his face and said viciously.
He had been hit the hardest. Xu Junran and Chen Hongtao, regardless of how they were being beaten, had grabbed this guy and pummeled him, almost every punch landing on him, causing him to still feel dizzy.
Cao Junwei laughed and said, "Are you still asleep?" His eye socket had been hit by someone's fist and was now bleeding.
The long-haired man was stunned by his words, but Xu Junran laughed, "Brother Chen, Brother Wei, this guy must have been kicked into a daze." He was in better shape than Cao Junwei, but his face was also bruised and swollen, like a big flower face.
Chen Hongtao nodded. His mouth was split, and it hurt every time he moved it.
"Fine, you guys have guts! If I don't give you a good beating today, I'll change my name to yours!"
The long-haired man roared, "Attack!"
Bang!
Before he could finish speaking, the unlucky guy was knocked to the ground.
Everyone was stunned, only then noticing that a beer bottle had been thrown from a distance, hitting the long-haired man's back of the head and knocking him out.
Cao Junwei and Chen Hongtao exchanged a glance. These two experienced fighters bent down and, taking advantage of the thugs' confusion, pulled Xu Junran out of the encirclement.
Not far away, seven or eight fierce-looking men were running over. They were running because they all held beer bottles, their expressions grim, and most shockingly, they were all wearing military green clothes.
The man running in front, Xu Junran felt a chill from head to toe just from one look, because of his eyes.
He was a wounded wolf!
Everyone else held beer bottles with both hands, but he held one with just one hand.
Because the other one had already been smashed on the back of the long-haired man's head.
"Damn, when did this demon come back?"
Cao Junwei, recognizing the man's face, muttered in amazement.
Xu Junran was stunned, "Brother Wei, you know him?"
Chen Hongtao nodded and said to Xu Junran, "You have good luck. You actually saved one of their family members. This beating wasn't in vain."
Cao Junwei also nodded, seemingly relieved, "Yeah, this is getting interesting. By the way, why did you get into a fight?"
He had been too busy fighting to ask why.
Xu Junran smiled bitterly and explained the whole story to Cao Junwei. As he listened, Cao Junwei's expression turned grim, and he spat at the thugs, "These bastards should be shot! What kind of scum!"
He frowned and muttered to himself, "The person who made Sun the Madman angry must be one of the Sun family's women, right?"
"Sun the Madman?" Xu Junran looked at Cao Junwei, puzzled.
Cao Junwei laughed and pointed to the young man who was walking up to them with a fierce look, whispering, "That's him, the eldest grandson of the Sun family in the capital. As for why he's called Sun the Madman, you'll see."
Xu Junran, full of questions, watched as the man called Sun the Madman approached the thugs.
He was about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, with a high nose, big eyes, and thick eyebrows. His face was slightly gaunt, and there was an indelible air of heroism about him. If he were in the modern era, he would be an absolute idol star. But now, his expression was fierce, like a wild beast ready to pounce.
"Who touched my aunt just now? Step forward and let me break your arm, and I'll let you live."
The first words out of the Sun family man's mouth showed Xu Junran what madness looked like. From his tone, it was clear that if no one stepped forward, they were all dead today!
"Who are you?"
The second-in-command of the thugs, the leader was still convulsing on the ground, having been hit hard by Sun the Madman's beer bottle. He wouldn't be waking up anytime soon.
At this moment, the other six or seven men had also rushed over, each holding two beer bottles, clearly not good guys.
Ironically, these six or seven men had surrounded the dozen or so thugs.
At this point, Xu Junran saw Lin Yuting and the woman he had saved running over. Lin Yuting was holding a brick, her face pale but determined.
Feeling a warmth in his heart, Xu Junran sighed in relief and nodded at Lin Yuting, who was crying at the sight of his injuries, "Don't worry, I'm fine."
The woman who had been saved didn't even thank Xu Junran and his friends. She rushed to Sun the Madman's side and pointed at the thugs, shouting, "It's them!"
The man called Sun the Madman's expression became even more fierce, his eyes turning red. He raised his beer bottle and pointed at the man who had asked who he was, "I'll say this one more time. Each of you, break your own arm, and I won't kill you!"
These words moved even Xu Junran.
In broad daylight, talking about killing, this man was truly a madman!
