Chapter 10: The Mysterious Teleportation Passage
Nalasha and Gongsun Muren continued to descend.
Compared to the first time, the two of them felt much more at ease this time.
There were no other dangers below the Soul Swinging Lake, just the possibility of enemies appearing at any time.
Nalasha occasionally adjusted their direction.
The three deceased grand mages had passed through the water using their magic, leaving traces of magical fluctuations along the way.
Nalasha found it easy to track them.
The two of them descended for half an hour and finally saw a large opening.
If they hadn't specifically searched for it, they might have thought they hadn't reached the bottom of the Soul Swinging Lake.
"The battle magic spacecraft came out from here," Nalasha said, looking at the irregular oval opening with a diameter of over 200 meters.
Gongsun Muren took out the particle cannon again to scan. Within 20 kilometers from the opening, there were no signs of life.
This situation left the two of them unsure of what to do.
The three grand mages had come out from here, but had they drilled through the water for hundreds of thousands of kilometers?
How long would that take?
Gongsun Muren didn't think the other side could extract oxygen from the water as easily as Nalasha, nor did he think they had the same spatial storage for food as he did.
Thinking about how he and Nalasha had to stop and rest while moving forward, Gongsun Muren felt a sense of fear.
The distance was too vast.
Just as the two of them were unsure of what to do, a magical fluctuation suddenly appeared about five kilometers inside the cave.
"There," they both shouted at the same time.
The particle cannon on Gongsun Muren's side had already displayed the situation. Three life signals had appeared.
They had appeared suddenly.
Nalasha and Gongsun Muren exchanged a glance and prepared for battle simultaneously.
The three figures moved toward them quickly, seemingly with little resistance from the water, which even seemed to assist their movement.
Gongsun Muren took out a sphere with a diameter of 20 centimeters from his spatial storage, pressed a few buttons, and nodded to Nalasha.
Nalasha then controlled the sphere to enter the cave and head toward the three figures.
This was a metallurgy bomb, triggered by magic.
It was sold in stores for 5,000 gold coins each.
Gongsun Muren hadn't spent any money on it.
They had sent ten sunflowers to the royal armory and taken many of these bombs.
If they hadn't taken them, they would have needed to be destroyed after two years of non-use, as their shelf life was only ten years.
The exact power was unknown, but people said it was very strong.
Now was the time to see its power.
Nalasha operated it carefully, trying to avoid causing noticeable water ripples, and slowly approached the three figures.
The two sides met about two kilometers from the opening.
The image was already displayed on Gongsun Muren's particle cannon.
All three were mages. From the patterns on their clothes, one was a fourth-level grand mage, and the other two were third-level grand mages, a level higher than those they had encountered before.
The three figures hadn't noticed the object floating toward them because it was too dark underwater, and they hadn't deliberately illuminated the area.
Just as they were about to pass over the metallurgy bomb, Nalasha controlled it to rise, and half a second later, the bomb exploded.
"Boom~~~!" A dull explosion echoed in Gongsun Muren's and Nalasha's ears.
Then they saw a large water ripple spreading out.
Nalasha quickly moved the air bubble to the side to avoid being hit by the shockwave.
About six seconds later, Gongsun Muren and Nalasha, who were hiding about a kilometer away, saw a surge of murky water rush out from the opening.
Two seconds later, the water around them also began to vibrate.
Fortunately, the amplitude was not large.
"Wow!" Nalasha exclaimed in surprise.
"Brother Muren, we were lucky to hide quickly. Otherwise, I would have had to use a lot of effort to counter the impact. Quick, there's one still alive, catch him."
Nalasha controlled the air bubble and rushed over.
Vian Rudolph felt as if the world was ending. His entire body ached.
They had agreed to work with the previous three to capture someone familiar with the recent situation in the Gels Principality and ask about the results of the attack.
But as they moved forward, there was a sudden explosion, and he was hit by a powerful force, which pushed him toward the opening.
What had happened?
It hurt so much, and he couldn't even mobilize his magic.
"Sir Grand Mage, hello. Now, Brother Muren and I need to ask you a few questions. We hope you will answer honestly."
Vian Rudolph was still dazed when he heard a little girl's voice.
******
Ten minutes later, Gongsun Muren and Nalasha appeared on the surface of the Soul Swinging Lake.
There were already many people on the shore, all members of the principality's regular army.
They held crossbows, and some were manipulating long spears with magical fluctuations.
Six grand mages had changed into clothes suitable for underwater movement and were preparing to dive.
A bubble suddenly appeared on the shore, with two figures inside, almost prompting the commander to issue an attack order.
Fortunately, he noticed that the young boy was wearing the uniform of the First Academy of the principality and held back his command.
"Such a grand scene. Someone, take this fourth-level grand mage, Vian Rudolph of the Mitchell Empire, back. It counts as military merit, and it will be credited to Brother Muren."
Nalasha used water to support the unconscious Vian Rudolph and delivered him to the shore, addressing the person who seemed to be in charge.
The commander was a woman named Isabelle.
She had been ordered to come as quickly as possible with a magic spacecraft to provide support.
The Grand Duke of Gels had said that if Nalasha didn't return, the others wouldn't need to return either. When did the principality need two children to fight for the country?
Send more people, and if the other side sent three, send six this time. Additional support was on the way.
Deploy two battle magic spacecraft.
Also, repair their captured battle magic spacecraft as soon as possible and park it above their estate's pond.
And tell them that they can choose their class times, and if they can't make it, the teachers will come to give them private lessons.
Other students were learning how to face battles, but these two were already fighting for the country.
Nalasha was only four years old. Could they bear to let her fight to the death with the grand mages of the Mitchell Empire in the water?
Isabelle still heard the Grand Duke's words echoing in her ears, yet these two had captured a fourth-level grand mage.
What kind of battle had they engaged in down there?
This wasn't a game; it was a real life-and-death war.
No wonder the two children could enter the palace at will. It had nothing to do with their titles but was a symbol of their supreme honor for fighting for the country.
"Control him," Gongsun Muren said, frowning at everyone's stunned expressions.
"Okay, Lord Gongsun, can you tell me how he was captured? The Grand Duke is very concerned about you and will ask me."
Isabelle tried to make her voice as gentle as possible.
She had a beautiful voice and a good appearance, but more importantly, she had strong organizational skills, which is why she was sent.
As she spoke, she directed people to secure the prisoner. This was a fourth-level grand mage, and just tying him up wouldn't be enough.
"Wait until he wakes up and ask him," Gongsun Muren said briefly, then called to Nalasha to go down again.
"Remember, it counts as military merit, and get our battle spacecraft repaired quickly. Brother Muren and I need it. Don't follow us, six third-level grand mages, are you trying to die?"
Nalasha's voice followed, and then a series of bubbles rose, and the two of them disappeared from sight.
The six new grand mages clenched their teeth and looked at Isabelle, feeling a deep sense of shame.
They weren't angry at Nalasha but at their own lack of ability.
When the two children were given the title of baron, they had secretly criticized the Grand Duke's decision.
Now, they only felt shame.
It seemed like the era described in history books, where nobles were fearless and fought tenaciously against the enemy, charging to the front lines and using their lives and blood to color their family crests.
This scene appeared before them again. The barons with the sunflower crest? Indeed, not just anyone could possess it. A new noble family was rising.
Who could stop them? Who could suppress the will of the sunflower?
"Continue to send more people from the Grand Duke. Mobilize the entire grand mage battle group. We can't just watch two children fight the enemy. Even without divine punishment, we would be condemned by our own conscience. Take him back to the palace."
Isabelle didn't let the six grand mages go down. She knew it would be useless.
A fourth-level grand mage had been captured, and the enemy wasn't just one person. What use would six third-level grand mages be? It would be suicide.
Sophia Nalasha, did she have the same talent as the empire's divine mages?
******
Nalasha and Gongsun Muren descended again.
This time, they had a target.
According to the information obtained from the interrogation,
There was a region five kilometers from the opening that could teleport over long distances.
It seemed to be naturally formed.
It could directly connect to the Virginia Lake in the main territory of the Mitchell Empire.
They had learned about this in school.
People had long known that they lived on a sphere, and inside this sphere were many special passages connecting other places, called the Divine Passages.
Whoever controlled these passages would receive countless benefits, most directly in commerce.
From one place to another.
Even if one could afford to hire a spacecraft, it would take half a month, but through the passage, it would take only a blink of an eye.
Not only did it save on transportation costs, but it also allowed the delivery of food with a short shelf life.
However, the management of each passage was inevitably accompanied by slaughter and death.
Now that the Mitchell Empire had discovered the passage, the war had begun.
If Gongsun Muren and Nalasha hadn't insisted on coming quickly from the Water Prayer City,
If the city lord, Duncan O'Leary, hadn't sent the magic spacecraft in advance,
Perhaps no one would have discovered this secret, as the spacecraft had passed directly above the Mike War Pendant.
If the multi-clawed monster had moved a bit, this situation wouldn't have occurred.
As long as the Mike War Pendant didn't disappear, Gels wouldn't send people to guard it.
To prevent unexpected events, the Mitchell Empire had to launch an attack early through the Marquis Hillary Francis.
Unfortunately, the ambush was foiled by Nalasha and Gongsun Muren.
This prevented the Mitchell Empire from obtaining specific information through normal channels.
A series of coincidences led to the current situation.
"The Mitchell Empire is really unlucky," Nalasha remarked, standing next to the teleportation passage.
The passage looked different from other places, with its color and texture making it appear mysterious. It was large enough for a magic spacecraft to pass through.
After observing for a while, the two decided to destroy the texture.
Although books said the passage couldn't be destroyed, they still wanted to try.
As for rushing through to see the situation, neither of them had such intentions. It was too dangerous, and who knew what might be on the other side.
Gongsun Muren placed several metallurgy bombs on the ground, pulled Nalasha back a kilometer, and found a recess in the cave.
Nalasha erected a large ice wall, took a deep breath, and detonated the bombs.

I just entered the backend. I believe many people understand what's happening. It's a new week, and some things are bound to happen. I hope everyone will vote.
