The beauty continued to smile. “Hello, are you an employee at Zhanan?”

“Yes… I am,” Qiu Niannian eagerly replied even though she still was only doing miscellaneous tasks in Song Mo’s office. “My name is Qiu Niannian. May I ask who you are?”

“My name is Xia Fengguang. I’m new here. Could I trouble you to bring me to HR so I can report in?”

“Of course!” A beauty’s plea is hardly ever rejected, especially from such an easy-going beauty. “Miss Xia, please come with me.”

“Sorry to trouble you then.”

Fengguang and Qiu Niannian stepped into the building. The moment they entered, everyone’s attention was on them. Ever since Qiu Niannian’s first day at Zhanan Corporation, this was the first time she wasn’t the target of women’s jealousy. She finally felt like she could breathe today. However, when HR heard Miss Xia’s name, their expressions became strange…

Qiu Niannian was full of curiosity by the time she left Fengguang in HR. After she had left, Fengguang sat unabashedly across from the manager. Her lips curved into a smile that had a certain charm to it. “I want to share the same office with Bai Zhe.”

“M-Miss Xia, we can arrange an office that is close to the CEO’s.” Even though Secretary Bai Zhe’s office was the closest to the CEO, however, the CEO took up a whole floor and there were many spots that could be transformed. Madam Song had ordered to add an office inside the CEO’s room and the CEO had no say on the matter.

She repeated herself. “I want to be in the same office as Bai Zhe.”

“Miss Xia, this…” The manager was not like Qiu Nianian. He knew who the woman sitting across from him was and thus, her request made him have a head full of sweat.

“How did Madam Song instruct you?”

The manager instantly replied, “To satisfy all of Miss Xia’s requests.”

“And right now, my first request is to share an office with Bai Zhe.”

“…Yes.”

The manager personally brought Fengguang to Bai Zhe’s office. Inside, everything was either black or white which matched his minimalist style. The HR manager saw her admiring her surroundings so he voluntarily and quietly left, even carefully closing the door behind him. Bai Zhe was so meticulous towards the CEO, he shouldn’t have any complaints towards sharing half his office with the CEO’s fiancee…right?

“Bai Zhe, do I still have anything left in my schedule for the next couple of days?” Song Mo asked as he came out from the meeting and went to use his exclusive elevator, reserved for the CEO. He was rushing to head back to his office. The reason, of course, was the girl who kept angering him.

Bai Zhe stood behind Song Mo. “There’s a meeting with Fengxiang Corp three days later.”

“Oh~ The jewellery deal.” Fengxiang Corporation’s influence was not average. If Zhanan was able to seal the deal with them, it would be their biggest profiting deal as of yet. However, Song Mo had decided to bring his girl to the beach three days later. He stroked his chin in thought and made his decision. “You will go to the meeting that day and get that deal from Fengxiang.”

“Mr. CEO, the one going that day is Fengxiang’s CEO. I’m afraid my status…”

“I trust you.” The doors to the elevator opened and Song Mo curtly interrupted Bai Zhe mid-sentence. “Bai Zhe, you’ve never let me down before.”

After he said his piece, he left the elevator and directly walked to his office.

The elevator closed and Bai Zhe took off his glasses. His eyes were like endless whirlpools, deep enough that no one could see the bottom.

At Zhanan Corporation, the higher one’s position, the higher the floor their workspace would reside in. Song Mo’s office was the entirety of the highest floor. Bai Zhe’s office was located on the floor beneath him. People rarely visited these two floors so after Song Mo had left, Bai Zhe was able to express himself without restraint. He had on his innermost and darkest expression that would generally terrify most people.

Such a terrifying expression became shock when he opened the door to his office and found a woman sleeping quietly on his sofa.

He looked around. He wasn’t lost. This was actually his office.
