"Hmm... Morning already..."

One month after the Catastro Org's attack, Raidor awoke in the manor of the frontier city.

Frowning at the sunlight seeping through the curtains, Raidor turned over in bed.

Raidor Zain, the second prince of the Zain Kingdom, is the lord of the development city of Raid. His life is far from luxurious.

The manor where Raidor lives is far too modest for a lord, being only slightly larger than the typical houses in the frontier city.

Occasionally, when the uninvited Zaphis visits with a bottle of wine in hand, Raidor has to struggle to find a place to put the drunk master to sleep.

"It's not morning anymore, my lord. You're quite the late sleeper."

"Whoa!?"

Suddenly, a woman's voice echoed in the room, causing Raidor to let out a high-pitched cry.

He scanned the room with his eyes, but no one was there except for himself.

"Could it be..."

Then, he noticed the weight on his body and pulled back the blanket.

As expected, a black-haired girl was lying on top of him, her upper body bare.

"Ah, good morning, my lord."

"Good morning... What are you doing?"

"No, no, just a little morning service... Kyaa!?"

"Get off."

Raidor kicked the girl off the bed, blanket and all.

The girl, who had fallen to the floor, struggled in the blanket that had covered her, but eventually threw it off and revealed her face.

"Hey! What are you doing all of a sudden!"

The girl who emerged from the blanket was a maid with long, wavy black hair.

Her name is Naimeria, the only servant working in the manor where Raidor lives.

With her pale skin and youthful face, Naimeria has a face that looks like a finely crafted doll.

If she sat quietly, her charming appearance would likely captivate many men... but Raidor, her employer, knew all too well that it was just a facade.

"What are you doing... What are you doing?"

"What am I doing... I'm giving my lord a little morning service..."

"Still, no need to say it. Be quiet."

As you can see, she can casually spout lewd jokes.

The crude words that come from the mouth of this delicate girl always gave Raidor a headache.

Still, in a frontier city filled with adventurers and outlaws, a maid like her who can handle household chores is very rare.

Due to a certain situation she is in, Raidor couldn't fire her and continued to employ Naimeria.

Incidentally, in this manor, which is technically the lord's residence, only Raidor and Naimeria live.

As a result, the people of the frontier city recognize Naimeria as Raidor's de facto wife or lover, which is another headache for Raidor.

"Fine... I'm changing, so get out quickly."

"Of course, I'll help you. Hand in hand, from morning to night... hehe."

"Get out, just get out."

Raidor frowned and kicked the maid out of the room.

Glancing at the clock, he saw that it was already past ten. A bit late for morning.

As the lord, Raidor had delegated financial and military affairs to the commercial guild and the adventurer guild, which had been operating the town before he arrived.

Raidor's job was to approve their decisions and represent the town in negotiations with external nobles and influential merchants.

Thus, his life was irregular, and no one would scold him for sleeping until noon.

"Ah... I'm still sleepy."

Now, how should he spend the day? Raidor thought to himself while changing his underwear.

There was no particular work as the lord, and no appointments with anyone. So, should he go out as an adventurer and cull the monsters at the border?

The materials from the border monsters are rare and serve as an important source of funds for the frontier city. The more monsters Raidor hunts, the more the city's operating funds increase.

"Hehehe... Watching my lord change...!"

"Again, what are you doing?"

While thinking about his plans for the day and changing, Raidor's eyes met the gaze of someone watching from the door. No need to explain; it was, of course, the perverted maid.

Glaring at the cat-like eyes peering through the door, Raidor pressed his forehead as if to suppress a headache.

"Ah, I'm sorry. I couldn't help but... look at those delicious pectoral muscles..."

"Alright, I get it. I'll go to the hardware store and buy a padlock. From today, you're not allowed in my room."

"Wh-What! No, no, no! I have a legitimate reason! I'm not here to peek!"

Raidor glared at Naimeria's teary golden eyes and clicked his tongue.

"Then, say it quickly. If it's not important, I won't listen."

"Mmm... My lord, you sadist. Abusive man! There's a visitor at the front door. They came from the capital to see you!"

"From the capital...?"

"Yes, from the capital. They definitely said so."

"Hmm..."

Raidor frowned, his face contorting as if he had eaten a poisonous herb.

Since being exiled to the border, he had heard nothing from the capital. No matter how many letters of explanation he sent, no matter how many of his friends he asked for help, he received no response.

He thought they had no intention of ever dealing with him again, so why were they visiting him now?

"...Alright. I'll see them. Have them wait in the parlor."

"Understood. And I'll send a message to Sir Zaphis?"

"...Yes. That would be better."

He couldn't imagine what the messenger from the capital wanted, but it was bound to be troublesome.

Having Zaphis, his guardian, around would reduce problems if anything went wrong.

(Perhaps they're trying to push some troublesome matter onto me, or maybe the long-awaited opportunity for revenge has finally come... What will happen?)

Feeling a smoldering flame deep in his heart, Raidor clutched his chest as if to scratch it.

Was it the fire of hatred for those who betrayed him, or the fire of fighting spirit sensing the battles to come?

"Hehehe, my lord is getting excited. Even down there..."

"Get out! Just get out!"

Raidor shouted at the maid, who was drooling in the corner, and put on his jacket to cover his skin.
