I looked at the time, and it was already past midnight. I turned on my computer and started searching for information about the Ghost Cultivation practice, as I was not particularly familiar with its history.
After searching for "Ghost Cultivation" on the search engine, a large number of web pages appeared, but I didn't find any of the information I was looking for. Most of the pages talked about the mysterious death of a boy in a red shirt.
I casually read about the boy in the red shirt and noticed a coincidental issue. The extremely yin child, who was hanged, was not only wearing a red shirt but also had needle holes and a weight left on his body. After some online analysis, someone claimed that the boy had been cultivated into a ghost.
They said that dressing him in red was to summon his soul, and the weight was to anchor his soul, all to lock and preserve the integrity of his soul.
I was startled, feeling that the method used had some connection with the Maoshan branch of the Daoist lineage. Reflecting on my own childhood experiences, I suddenly wondered if the murderer could be the person who had once plotted against me. Because of my grandmother's interference, he had lost one opportunity but gained another, and the boy had become a substitute for me.
The result was unknown, as I was not very familiar with Daoist practices. I decided to ask Zhao Qian another day; perhaps she could provide some insight.
After watching the investigation video of the boy in the red shirt, I planned to go to bed and rest.
But just as I was about to turn off the computer, a chat window popped up from a previously logged-in chat tool. A woman had sent a message.
I didn't want to look at it, but since it was a direct pop-up, the words caught my eye. The message read:
"Qianqian, watch this video. It seems that the He family's young master is really in trouble, and it's up to you to solve it."
Then a video was sent in the chat window. I was curious and thought it might be a work-related video, so I accepted it to my desktop.
After receiving it, I opened the video, thinking it might be urgent. The video was a surveillance recording. The man in the video was sound asleep in bed, snoring, and the surroundings were very quiet, with only a high-end lamp lit.
I thought something like a Japanese love scene might happen next, but I was stunned when I saw a white figure suddenly appear from a blind spot of the camera. She slowly walked in from the window and stopped beside the sleeping man, staring at him.
After a while, the thing seemed to notice the camera and looked directly at it. I was still watching the video, but the ghost's head suddenly appeared right in front of the camera, almost scaring me to tears!
That thing was not human; it was a female ghost!
She was drenched in water, dripping, with a terrifyingly pale face and seaweed-like hair, as if she had just climbed out of the water.
Then the video emitted a strange hissing sound, and the image tore into pieces, showing nothing.
"Did you see that? Did you see that? Isn't it terrifying?!" The woman in the chat window sent another message. Her profile picture was a big-faced, cheeky cat, but I saw from her profile that she was a girl.
I didn't dare to reply. After a while, the woman sent another message: "Scared you, didn't I? My beautiful lady! Haha, this video is actually on a public line, but I cleverly set up a wireless connection. The public line probably burned the memory card, but the wireless one is encrypted and received at my place! See how nice I am, I sent it to you right away."
I realized this was bad; this silly woman might be in trouble for setting up the wireless connection. I quickly sent a message: "Are you still at home? Come to my place immediately."
"What? I'm about to take off my clothes and go to bed! Besides, didn't you say my place is very safe, and you set up the feng shui for me?" The cheeky cat sent a message back.
"Then don't leave. I'll come over with Zhao Qian." I thought arguing with her was pointless, and even if she left, she might not escape the ghost's wrath. The ghost in the video was extremely fierce, and the man didn't die because the ghost knew him before she died and didn't want to take his life immediately. But this silly woman was still joking around.
I then ran upstairs and knocked on Zhao Qian's door.
Yuxiao, still half-asleep, opened the door wearing Zhao Qian's pajamas. I almost nosebleed when I saw her. The thin, pink lace dress on Yuxiao was very sexy, and I instinctively glanced down, noticing her budding chest. I quickly pushed her back and closed the door: "It's not your business, go back to sleep. I knocked on the wrong door."
I heard a thud as she fell back onto the bed, probably falling asleep again.
I took a deep breath, feeling a heavy chill behind me. My wife, who seemed about to explode, needed an explanation: "I didn't mean to! I was trying to save someone!"
Without waiting for her reaction, I ran to knock on another door, making sure I wouldn't knock on the wrong one this time.
After a while, Zhao Qian's room light turned on. She was wearing a small coat over her pajamas, but her long, shapely legs were still visible.
"Brother Tian, what's wrong?" Zhao Qian seemed to have been sleeping.
"It's your friend! The cat, she sent a message saying she saw a ghost. I received it without thinking. We need to go to her place; your feng shui won't stop the ghost." I said quickly.
"Cat or dog, Brother Tian, I'm so tired. There are many videos at midnight claiming to show ghosts." Zhao Qian said drowsily, pushing me away and trying to go back to sleep.
I immediately beckoned to the little ghost, who cooperated and showed her sharp teeth, standing in the direction Zhao Qian turned to look.
When Zhao Qian saw this, she was so scared that she instinctively screamed and jumped into my arms.
Before I could enjoy the softness of her chest, she almost pushed me down the stairs. After a while, my wife finally burst into anger, and a cold wind started blowing, making the windows and doors rattle.
Zhao Qian, terrified, saw the little ghost return to me and blushed, slamming the door shut. I heard the sound of her quickly putting on clothes.
Soon, the beautiful Zhao Qian joined me at the computer. We both looked at the chat window, and a chill ran down our spines as we saw it filled with exclamation marks and random symbols.
Our first thought was that something had happened. The feng shui of the house in the video had probably been broken by the ghost, and it was coming after us.
We rushed out of the door, and I opened the garage to get the car.
"Don't drive. She lives right across the street!" Zhao Qian said, looking tense. It seemed the person on the computer was important to her.
I slapped my head, "Right across the street, and you didn't tell me earlier!"
We ran across the street, and just as Zhao Qian was about to knock on the door, I kicked it open and asked which room it was.
Zhao Qian pointed to a room on the second floor, and I immediately rushed in.
Inside the room, the girl's eyes were rolled back, her face flushed from being strangled by a strand of hair, and her tongue was sticking out. She was about to die.
"Quick, save her!" I ordered the little ghost.
The little ghost, somewhat discontent, thinking I was always dealing with women, still pounced and grabbed the strand of hair. Surprisingly, she had the strength to pull the white female ghost off!
The white female ghost, encountering the little ghost, struggled for a moment but was quickly devoured.
The little ghost licked her lips, seeming to enjoy the taste.
I knew that this kind of devouring, where a tiger devours a wolf, could help the little ghost grow quickly.
But I couldn't worry about the little ghost now. The female police officer was unconscious, her tongue sticking out, her eyes rolled back, and saliva dripping.
Yes, she was a female police officer, as I saw her in her police uniform, with the buttons only half undone, revealing her undergarments.
"Shanshan! Shanshan, wake up! Don't scare me!" Zhao Qian quickly rushed over and hugged her.
"What are you standing there for? She's not breathing! Do CPR, or do you want her to die!" I pushed Zhao Qian away, laid the female police officer on the ground, and put her warm, sticky tongue back in her mouth.
"Do you know how to do CPR?" I asked.
Zhao Qian, scared, instinctively shook her head.
I sighed inwardly. She was a beautiful police officer, and I hoped my wife wouldn't get angry at this moment.
"Sister, don't make a fuss. I'm saving someone, you know." I muttered, placed my hands on the female police officer's chest, and started performing CPR.
Each time I pressed down, the soft, elastic chest made my heart race. Honestly, it was my first time touching a woman's chest, and it was a big-chested police officer, even though it was to save her.
My wife seemed to understand the gravity of the situation and didn't make things difficult for me. However, when I was about to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, a cool breeze blew into my ear, making me uncomfortable. The proud Ninth Princess didn't want me to give my first kiss away.
"I remember, I remember. I learned this in school." Zhao Qian wiped away her tears and noticed my hesitation in performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Zhao Qian took over and performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on the female police officer.
After a series of coughs, the female police officer was finally saved.
I had already called the little ghost back to the soul jar and was sitting on the bed, waiting for her to wake up.
The female police officer's face was pale, and she looked at Zhao Qian and then at me, not crying.
After a while, she even smiled: "Qian, I saw a ghost!"
"Are you crazy? You don't seem to be. You're pretty calm about it," I thought, feeling a headache. She seemed to be a tough woman.
"Um, um, Shanshan, you're okay! That's good!" Zhao Qian hugged the female police officer and continued to cry.
"I almost died. I must have looked terrible, with my tongue sticking out." The female police officer hesitated, looked at me, and asked rudely, "Who are you?"
"I'm Zhao Qian's friend. You don't recognize me? I was just pressing your chest, no, I just saved your life!" I said.
"He's Brother Tian. He was chatting with you online and came over with me to save you!" Zhao Qian explained.
"Ah? Are you living together?!" The female police officer exclaimed, looking me up and down, as if wondering what I had done to deserve this.
I was speechless. This female police officer's imagination was probably even wilder than Yuxiao's. I couldn't deal with her and said, "Haha, since the ghost is dealt with, I'll go back to sleep. You two can chat."
With that, I left the room and went back to the study to sleep. It was already past two, and I had to go to Zhao Qian's grandfather's house the next day.
I never thought that turning on the computer could lead to such a situation. It was really bizarre.
