After entering the room, Gao Xi simply locked the door from the inside, ready to play a round of Warcraft. He couldn't be disturbed during this time, or he would definitely lose.

Gao Xi really liked using the Night Elves, even though he wasn't very good at the game. However, when playing against players of average skill, he usually had a 60-40 win rate, winning more often than losing. This was enough to satisfy him, as he played for entertainment, not to become a professional.

In the past, Warcraft was very popular. When people talked about esports, they wouldn't forget this game. However, nowadays, the game has declined. Except for the die-hard fans, most people have moved on to games like League of Legends and Dota.

But Gao Xi should be considered a die-hard fan. In college, he and his roommates often played Warcraft together. At first, they played against the AI. He remembered most clearly the time when he first started playing the game in his freshman year and was brutally beaten by the computer for a whole year. Eventually, he could beat the "Insane" difficulty level, but even then, he had to use some rather unsportsmanlike tactics to take advantage of the AI.

Opening QQ, he noticed that all his friends' avatars were black. Gao Xi couldn't help but curse under his breath, "Don't think I don't recognize you just because you're invisible."

He sent several messages to his college classmates. Their class was small, with only thirty-six people, and twenty-four of them were girls, leaving only twelve boys. So everyone got along very well, even though there were occasional minor conflicts. But it was nothing like the horror stories of university roommates poisoning or attacking each other, which made people shudder.

"Bro, I'm at work. The boss is a capitalist, can't afford to upset him. Let's play tonight."

Alright, work is important.

"Xi, I'm with my girlfriend right now. You should find a woman too, even if it's just as a backup, it's better than being a single dog."

You traitor, but I hope you're happy.

"Bro, I'm on the train. How can I play? You're so relaxed, I'm running all over the place and I'm almost exhausted."

In addition to replying, this guy even took a photo on the train to show Gao Xi.

"Sorry, Xi, we're in a five-man black. I haven't played Warcraft in a long time. Now it's all about LOL!"

Damn, I didn't expect you, with your thick eyebrows and big eyes, to become a traitor too!

...

"Xi, I'm free. I'll play with you."

Finally, one avatar lit up.

"It's Dong Chen. You rich kids still play games? I heard you guys are all into cars and women now."

"Who cares what others do? I just think playing games is fun. Why not play?"

"Hmm? Your IP address seems off. Are you in the U.S.?" Gao Xi accidentally clicked on Dong Chen's avatar and found the IP address was from abroad.

"Did you notice? My family runs a hotel, and the old man sent me to the U.S. for training. With my level of English, even basic conversation is hard. I'm so bored." Dong Chen's complaint was followed by a crying emoji.

"Bro, my English is good. How about I come over and keep you company? I hear the U.S. has many large farms. I'll go and check them out." Gao Xi added a laughing emoji.

"Sure, come over. I'll cover your flight and living expenses. Whether you're here to check out or play, it's fine. I'll introduce you to some American girls." Dong Chen was quite generous.

"Haha, I was just joking. You took it seriously. Alright, let's play a game. Do I need to use a proxy?"

"No, just create a room, and I'll join."

The two quickly set up the game, not to play against each other but to team up against four insane AI opponents.

Gao Xi chose the Night Elves, and Dong Chen chose the Orcs. This guy also liked the Orcs in World of Warcraft, probably because there was a fierce beast hidden inside him, eager to break free.

"You really like the Night Elves."

"Of course. If possible, I'd love to live in the Night Elf camp, drink from the Life and Mana Wells, have beautiful elves around, and buy magical items from the ancient trees. It sounds so relaxing." Gao Xi laughed.

"You must have a severe case of otaku syndrome."

"Severe is severe. If possible, I'd even marry a Moon Priestess."

This was just a joke, something Gao Xi had said before. Saying it to Dong Chen was nothing, but this time, it was different.

As soon as he said this, the bracelet on his wrist emitted a blinding light, and everything in front of him turned white.

If someone had entered Gao Xi's room at that moment, they would have seen the computer still on, but no one was there. The chair in front of the computer was still swaying, clearly someone had just been sitting there.

"Where is he?"

"Xi?"

"Come on, you left me to face four insane AI opponents alone. You're going to kill me."

"Really gone?"

"Damn, inhumane."

"Alright, I'll give it a try. I've done this before."

Dong Chen didn't know what had happened in the room. He only knew that Gao Xi had suddenly stopped talking while chatting on QQ, and after the game started, no one was operating. He thought Gao Xi must have had an emergency, but he never imagined that Gao Xi had encountered the most bizarre thing in his life.

...

"My goodness, what's going on?"

The white light gradually faded, and Gao Xi's vision returned to normal. He wanted to check what was wrong with the bracelet on his wrist. But as soon as his vision cleared, he was stunned, his mouth wide open as if he were about to eat someone.

He stood there dumbfounded, looking around. This was no longer the room he had just been in. The scenery was completely different, but it was also familiar. Wasn't this an undeveloped Night Elf camp?

"Ha, I must be dreaming, it must be!"

Gao Xi laughed foolishly and then slapped his face hard.

"Ouch, it hurts! It's not a dream! What the hell is going on?"

Did he travel through time?

Did he travel to the world of Warcraft?

These days, any young person should know what time travel is, as it's mentioned in novels and TV shows.

"Hmm? No, this doesn't seem like time travel!"

Gao Xi suddenly noticed the bracelet on his wrist. Interestingly, the pendant, which was originally shaped like a Moon Well, had now turned into a miniature version of his room.

There must be something strange about this. Let's see if I can get out!

Gao Xi had thought of many possibilities of time travel, but if it really happened, he would find it hard to accept, as his family and friends were still in the original world.

Of course, if he could travel back and forth, that would be different, and he wouldn't have to worry.

He sat down and began to carefully recall what had happened. He had said a sentence, and then the bracelet reacted, and he was transported here.

This sentence must not be ordinary, or wouldn't the street vendors also travel through time?

Was it that sentence?

Alright, let's try.

Although he felt a bit embarrassed, Gao Xi bit his lip and said, "I want to marry a Moon Priestess!"

As soon as he said this, the bracelet reacted again. This time, Gao Xi was prepared and quickly closed his eyes. When he opened them again, he found himself back in the room, sitting in the chair, and the computer showed Dong Chen playing against four opponents.

"Sorry, old classmate, I have more important things to do. You play on your own for now." Although Gao Xi wanted to help Dong Chen, the thought of the different world inside his bracelet made him restless. He said the embarrassing sentence again and was once more transported to the Moon Well world.

This time, he could finally calm down and observe his surroundings.

He found himself in a lush, verdant forest. A clear river flowed through the forest, and small animals ran through the trees. In the clear water, various fish played and swam.

He couldn't see far into the distance because it was dark, like the fog of war in Warcraft, giving a sense of mystery and danger.

The Night Elf camp had few buildings. From Gao Xi's perspective, there were only two wells and a large tree that was clearly different from the surrounding forest. There was nothing else.

The sky above was very bright, just like the real sky, but it was even bluer and clearer. He hadn't seen such a blue sky in years.

He couldn't see the sun, but sunlight was shining down. Based on Gao Xi's guess, the sunlight was probably refracted through the bracelet, though he couldn't explain the exact mechanism.

The water in the two wells was very clear, but the colors were different. One was undoubtedly the Life Well, and the other was the Mana Well, as he knew from the game.

Finally, his gaze fell on the ancient tree.

The ancient tree was very tall, with a door on its front, similar to the Ancient of War in the game, though he wasn't sure if it was the same.

The tree was probably over a hundred meters tall and about twenty meters in diameter. It would take time to walk around it, so Gao Xi didn't have a complete view of the tree. He decided to push open the two doors and see what was inside.
