Is this a "self-criticism edict"? Haha!
In the chapters, I repeatedly explain and beg for understanding, but each time I am criticized to the point of being battered and bruised, truly leaving me feeling very helpless!
I have said before that whether it's "Wealth of the World" or "Rebirth of the Internet Empire," the reason such ** plots appear is not only due to my own fantasies but also because my writing style is accustomed to such romantic and ambiguous content.
You didn't read it wrong; I started with romance. The "Record of Floating Clouds in the Sea of Emotions" from eight or nine years ago was a romance ** novel, and it is also the only completed novel I have so far. However, due to its content, it was hidden during the early days when censorship was rampant.
Before uploading this novel, I had already written over 100,000 words. By the time the book was heavily criticized for its ** content, the manuscript had already reached over 300,000 words, and much of the earlier content could not be changed. I can only say that in the future, I will control the appearance of female characters and ensure that similar content does not exceed 15% of the overall content!
Additionally, I want to discuss the direction of this book.
I looked for similar rebirth novels on Qidian and found that most of them focus on internet entertainment. Although they touch on important internet companies like Google, Apple, Amazon, and local internet giants, they are described very briefly. Plus, "Wealth of the World" was a huge failure, which gave me the idea to write this.
After writing, I realized why others are reluctant to delve too deeply into the internet industry. Without being a professional, it's impossible to write too much technical knowledge. Writing about Baidu requires researching the origin and current state of search engines, as well as the differences between Google and Baidu; writing about Alibaba requires researching Amazon and PayPal, as well as the rivalry between Taobao and eBay; writing about QQ is a bit simpler, as developing users is something everyone knows about; but if QQ were to go international and compete with software like ICQ, MSN, and Skype, without any "history" to draw from, it would require careful handling to avoid writing illogical and nonsensical content—after all, a reborn person can't just focus on making a name for themselves in China and follow the old path of someone like Ma, only to be despised.
Just like in web novels where the protagonist often tries to acquire Apple... even if Steve Jobs hadn't returned to Apple by 1998 and the company was on the brink of bankruptcy, it would be impossible for an Asian, especially a Chinese person, to have such an opportunity! Just think about how difficult it was for Lenovo to acquire IBM's PC business, and consider the current situation of Huawei...
Recently, I've been criticized a lot, so I've complained a bit.
I just looked at the manuscript and deleted a few hundred words. If I keep deleting, there will still be harmonized content, so I'll continue to delete...
In short, for those who enjoy this type of book, please be patient and see how the protagonist achieves the impossible within the limited possibilities!
If there are any serious logical errors, please let me know...
For minor mistakes by an outsider, please be understanding. For example, the network billing system—I've always been worried about being criticized by programming experts... How does the fourth-generation billing system travel back to 1998? Is it possible to implement?
