19. The Prince of the Beiming Kingdom

Ming Qingyu couldn’t help chuckling. His breath went smooth; his body was free of poison, and even his wounds had been bandaged by the guard!

“Your Grace, you finally wakes up!” Upon seeing Ming Qingyu trying to sit up, the guard hurried forward to lend a hand. Ye Lan, as condescending as always, turned to look at Ming Qingyu who was a little disappointed by the coldness flickering in her eyes!

“Miss, thank you very much for saving my life!” Ming Qingyu said tentatively.

“Mhmm.” Ye Lan responded indifferently, with no more words.

“I am, the prince of the Beiming Kingdom, Ming Qingyu.”

“Mhmm.”

“May I know your name?” Ming Qingyu, cupping his hands to show his respect, asked in frustration.

“You don’t need to know!” Staring at him in coldness, Ye Lan still didn’t feel like saying too much. As indifferent as her tone was, there wasn’t even the faintest tease within. Though feeling embarrassed, Ming Qingyu had no reason to get angry with her!

It was the first time for Ming Qingyu to be slighted by others, let alone by a woman! Greatly embarrassed, he merely hummed in a low voice.

“Ha-ha!” Ye Lan laughed happily at Ming Qingyu’s helplessness. Given the hardship in her previous life, she decided to follow her heart in the future!

Her glamorous smiling face had always been lingering in Ming Qingyu’s mind since then.

“Okay, then! We are going to search for the treasure which was said to be on the other side of the large swamp. However, as incapable as we are, it’s impossible to cross the swamp which could engulf everything even as light as a feather, so we have been stuck here for a long time.” Gazing at Ye Lan in helplessness, Ming Qingyu, no matter what her real intention was, sincerely didn’t want her to take a risk!

In the second day, after apart with Ming Qingyu, Ye Lan set off alone and approached the swamp unconsciously. It was until then she finally realized it was the so-called place of death. Looking at the boundless swamp, Ye Lan suddenly made up her mind to bring some treasures back, because, after all, it was so weird to return with two empty hands!

Ye Lan tried her best to summon her spiritual wings, intending to flee at any time. Confronting with a savage beast whose spiritual stage was much higher than her, Ye Lan was barely able to defend herself, let alone starting a counterattack. I couldn’t survive today! Ye Lan thought to herself in helplessness. Over bleeding, Ye Lan, in dizziness, launched the last attack by summoning several sealed spiritual powers, successfully forcing the beast to retreat a little bit. Then she passed out.

Upon seeing Ye Lan falling backward, the beast stretched its arms, intending to punch her!

Ye Lan fell into a coma because of her severe injury. When she woke up, she found herself in a cave. She was so lucky to be saved by, certainly, a master in martial arts!

Ye Lan rose to her feet slowly, her hands seizing the stone wall. It was beyond her expectation that she, with smooth breath, was not only intact, but her cultivation was promoted. Was she dreaming now?

Ye Lan pinched her thigh immediately. Since she could feel the pain, it wasn’t a dream at all. What happened on earth? Why had her cultivation been promoted to the first level of the sixth stage? Ye Lan was in bewilderment.

“Weirdo! You are really a weirdo!” The old man appeared in the air with a puff of smoke.

Ye Lan couldn’t help rolling her eyes before realizing that maybe it was he who saved her life. Guessing Ye Lan’s thought, the old man shook his hands, his face turning crimson. “I intended to save you, but it seemed that the beast didn’t want to hurt you at all. Staying here for such a long time, it was so lonely, so it wants to make friends with you and go outside to have a look!”

“No more bullshit!” Ye Lan, staring at the old chatterbox expressionlessly, picked her ears out of boredom.

“I mean, as a spiritual beast, though it wants to go outside, it must stay here according to the restriction. So it has to sign an agreement with you. When the restriction is relieved, you must take it outside!” As soon as he finished speaking, the old man returned to the ring in silence at once.

“What?” Ye Lan, as exasperated as she was, howled while squeezing the ring with all her strength, “What have you done! How can it sign the agreement without my consent!”

“It was up to the beast instead of you!” The old man answered in a muffled voice within the ring.

“Damn! Why didn’t you stop it! You should have woke me up!” Upon seeing Ye Lan in anger, the old man at once hid himself in the ring, pretending not to hear what she said!

Since the old man refused to come out, Ye Lan, taking a long breath, tried her best to keep calm. “Where is it then? Could you ask it to come out?” She exerted herself to be polite and gentle enough. Who would expect the so-called Many-Faced super agent had to do that! Her comrades in previous life would surely laugh at her once knowing it! Damn!

Seeing the old man keeping silent, Ye Lan was going to lose her temper when her sleeves were suddenly dragged by something. She immediately turned around, finding a pair of blue purple eyes staring at her in the darkness of the cave.

In astonishment, Ye Lan retreated subconsciously, already in a posture to launch attack. Indeed. It was just this pair of deep blue eyes she saw before her passing out. With golden hair, dark circles around its eyes and dark paws, it was like a huge ball. Its two fangs would be revealed when it smiled. On the top of its head, there was even a flower with twelve colors.

Lying on the ground, with its two paws twisted like beating a drum, as well as its short fluffy tail patting the ground at times, it finally said shyly, “You...You have a holy spirit body. Please help me get out!”

“What the heck!”

Ye Lan resorted to the old man in helplessness. Considering her anger had vanished, the old man poked his head out of the ring slowly!

“Ha-ha, girl, you are really so lucky!”, he said with a respectful smile, “This fatty is a spiritual beast just getting promoted! You are so lucky to make friends with it, an unprecedented legendary beast!”

“What a bullshit!” Ye Lan was convinced that it was unwise to believe others’ words totally. Except for the fact that this variant of panda was a legendary beast getting promoted recently, there was no other useful information at all.

“You mean I have to take this encumbrance outside?” Ye Lan interrupted the old man out of patience. She made her point!

How could it be cumbersome to her! The beast stared at Ye Lan, its eyes wide open. In these years, all the people strove to get it, who, to this woman, was no more than an encumbrance! Though exasperated, the beast, glancing sideways at the woman, suddenly realized it would be very hard to find another talent with the holy spirit body, as well as the infinite spiritual sea within. Forget it. Some day, she would find out its unique power!

Living up to her nickname, Many-Faced Actress, Ye Lan looked at the variant of panda up and down with a frown.
