36. Meeting Old Friend Again (III)

On the other side, Ye Lan walked to the Dean of the Law Enforcement, and Yu Qingqing, lying in the pool of blood, was sprinkled medical powder by doctors. The bloodstains were cleaned as well. She was wrapped like a mummy due to whipping wounds all over her body. You could only tell it was Yu Qingqing by the uncovering eye.

The Dean of the Law Enforcement was furious. He felt so regretful and helpless when he looked at Yu Qingqing, who laid on the stretcher and stared at him pleadingly.

"Okay, carry her in first."

Yu Qingqing was crazy and furious with her flame-like red eyes, "No, no. I won't leave. I'll watch the Dean cut this bitch into pieces." If eyes could kill people, Ye Lan felt she would be killed by Yu Qingqing's glare a thousand times.

Unfortunately, glare couldn't kill anyone. Ye Lan turned around her head charmingly and glanced at Yu Qingqing gently. Her movements were so elegant and beautiful. Yu Qingqing was so angry when she was wrapped like this when the starter was so aggressive.

"Ah!" She converted her anger into a hear-breaking roar.

Ye Lan was distracted, so she flicked her water-blue sleeve to stop Yu Qingqing's roar. The world suddenly became quiet. The Dean of the Law Enforcement was so triggered by this movement. Nobody had dared to hurt his students in front of him before.

"How dare you!" the Dean of the Law Enforcement's roar was ignored by Ye Lan, which made him so embarrassed. "Who are you? Why do you behave so presumptuously at the Fengtian Academy? Now that I've caught you at the spot today, I can't stand by and watch you cause chaos in the human world again." He used internal force in his both hands to lift the ban on Yu Qingqing after he finished his sentence.

Ye Lan hid alertly and retreated with her both hands open. The Dean of the Law Enforcement followed her, and Ye Lan moved back suddenly. Such an upfront attack was not easy to get away with because the Dean of the Law Enforcement was almost at her psychic stage.

Ye Lan frowned at the empty square in the daylight.

"Be careful, young lady."

Libao heard the voice suddenly. He looked up and saw Ye Lan, who was forced to retreat in the sky. Libao ditched the envoy, flew up in the air and caught her. He waved the fan by using his spiritual power. The Dean of the Law Enforcement was repelled by the strong wind of the fan. Ye Lan was held by Libao. They two whirled for several rounds and landed slowly like an immortal couple. "Are you okay?"

Ye Lan shook her head, "I'm alright! He can't hurt me with his limited power." Ye Lan furiously looked at the Dean of the Law Enforcement, who was flipped in the air because of Libao's strength. He was supported by others but still staggered a bit.

A man in cyan clothes came as soon as Ye Lan landed. Libao was staggered by the clash and cursed, "Who the hell are you?"

Ye Lan was held into somebody's arms suddenly. She was puzzled and looked up, “Who are you?”

"I don't expect we can meet again, young lady." Ming Qingyu looked at Ye Lan excitedly. His head was filled with ecstasy, as if he regained a treasure that he had lost for a long time. He wore cyan clothes, and looked tired because of long trip, but this could cover his happiness.

Ming Qingyu's fellow people were so surprised to see him being ecstatic and holding a girl so tight in public. He was always such a proud gentleman who never showed his emotions. But now, nobody could recognize this man.

Ye Lan had no idea when he became so powerful, but he seemed to be nice to her. Ye Lan had no reason to use spiritual power to get rid of him, but she could not get away solely with her strength.

"Where have you been? I've been so worried about you. A girl like you was left alone in the forest. I still regret that I let you go on that day. I shouldn't have done that! I didn’t find you when I returned later. I thought I would never meet you again, but here we are now! Hahaha! That's destiny! Why are you here? Whose kid are you exactly? What's your name?" Ming Qingyu's endless questions made Ye Lan frown.

"Well!" Ye Lan narrowed her eyes to show her puzzlement after hearing him talking to himself for a while. At that moment, Ming Qingyu realized Ye Lan had a confused look in her eyes, as if she hadn't known him at all. Ming Qingyu calmed down gradually and looked at Ye Lan, who was cowering. Then he realized how tight he held Ye Lan out of excitement.

People started to judge his behavior. Some girls who had a crush on Ming Qingyu began to become dismissive and extremely jealous at the same time because Ye Lan's beauty couldn't be ignored. Dozens of derogatory terms, such as coquette, slut, and whore, were thrown to Ye Lan instantly but she was still unaware of it. She could only feel other people's envious and resentful glare.

They were sick! Ye Lan rolled her eyes helplessly in her heart. What a group of dummies! Ye Lan couldn't help doubting what kind of students were enrolled in the Fengtian Academy. All those girls were so crazy for men. It was not like an emperor choosing concubines or harem fight.

"Well... I'm so sorry, young lady!" Ming Qingyu spoke incoherently and looked at Ye Lan. Ming Qingyu was so happy that his eyebrows and canthus rose up, "It's me! You can't remember? You saved us in Forest of Beasts. I'm Ming Qingyu!"

"Ming Qingyu? Ming Qingyu?" Ye Lan mumbled the name and quickly recalled him. It was him! She just saved someone at the volley, and he still remembered that "Oh, it's you!"

Yu Qingqing cried out weakly, "Brother Ming..." Her pretentious voice gave people goosebumps. However, it appeared to be so beautiful to some fellow male apprentices. Many of them looked at Yu Qingqing lying on the stretcher with white veil covering her whole body and face.

"Isn't that Qingqing, Yu Qingqing?"

"Let me see, Yu Qingqing!"

"I think it's Yu Qingqing. Sounds like her!"

"Ah, really!" People started to gossip. Some girls turned around and couldn't hold back their laughter after they saw what Yu Qingqing was like. Then other people began to laugh. The classmates' friendship was such a lie.

"You can remember it, young lady?" Ming Qingyu gave her an excited and warm smile.

"No, but to be honest, you don't have to remember it all the time. I just did it at the volley." Ye Lan told him the truth.

Ming Qingyu was stunned but shook his head seriously, "No, a small favor should be paid back tenfold, let alone a big one like saving a life. I, Ming Qingyu, have to repay it with all my life."

The statement made Ye Lan grin. Libao pushed Ming Qingyu away suddenly, "Are you expecting to marry her to pay back? No way! I've not achieved that yet!"

Ming Qingyu was afraid to tarnish her reputation and hurried to explain, "No, no, no!"

"Brother Ming..." Yu Qingqing's mind was fully occupied by the charming Ming Qingyu in cyan clothes who stood next to Ye Lan. She couldn't care about what other people said. She even couldn't care about her pains and tried to sit up, but she failed. The doctor didn't have the heart to look at her torturing herself and asked the assistant to support her.

"Look at her! She's still thinking about that handsome man when she's like this!"

"Brother Ming won't fall for her! She's not pretty but still thinks about him!"

Ye Lan finally knew why Yu Qingqing was so malicious at such a young age because she was surrounded by similar people. How could she become a better person in such a condition? Heh-heh. Her bright smile was so contagious, and Ming Qingyu smiled along.

"What? Lanbao is so good! She's pretty, in perfect body shape and good at Kung fu. Yet you still despise her!" Libao's face turned red, and his eyebrows rose on hearing Ming Qingyu's words.

"No, no, no, no! Of course, I want to marry this girl, but..." Ming Qingyu’s real thoughts were drawn out. But Libao was unhappy, "You really have the evil intention. How dare you covet her? I'm gonna kick your ass!"

Ming Qingyu was speechless.

"Brother Ming..."

"Enough!" Ye Lan was so done with it and laughed silently.

"No, no. I'm serious. If you agree, I will spend all my life protecting you!" It was true. Ming Qingyu had been thinking of her since he saw her in the forest once.

The naughty, charming, swift, and cool figure had been carved in his heart. The young girl from the sky leaned on the tree. Her naughty and squinting eyes and her sharp posture! Maybe that was what people called “love at first sight”!

"Ming Qingyu? Ming Qingyu?" Ye Lan gently called his name. Ming Qingyu put himself together and looked at Ye Lan, "You haven't told me your name, young lady!"

"Ye Lan." Ye Lan replied quickly.

"Brother Ming..."

The feeble response finally got heard. Ming Qingyu frowned and turned back to find out who called his name so miserably.

But he saw Yu Qingqing looked at him in tears. She was wrapped in white gauze and tried so hard to get up. But she continued miserably calling "Brother Ming..."

"Who are you?" Ming Qingyu frowned and couldn't recognize who this was because she was wholly wrapped.

"It's me! Your junior female schoolmate." Yu Qingqing tried to pull the white gauze in front of her face subconsciously despite the pain.

"Junior female schoolmate? But I'm my master's only male student. The rest are senior female schoolmates!" Ming Qingyu frowned and thought about it carefully. That was an honest answer. Did his master secretly recruit a new one? No way. His master was traveling around, and it was impossible to bring back new students now.
