Back at the apartment, Zheng Rongxuan opened the Literature Tribe once again.

As soon as he logged in, he saw a notification for new private messages. He received these every day, but he didn't check them first. Instead, he opened the second chapter of "Memories of Murder" that he had posted yesterday.

"Consistently powerful, supporting the author!"

"Update, update, update..."

"Indeed a great novel, but why does it feel more like a movie?"

After reading a few comments, Zheng Rongxuan suddenly saw one that made him smile. This guy guessed pretty well; he had indeed written it based on a movie, so what else could it be?

After reading a few pages of comments, he found that they were mixed, both good and bad. Zheng Rongxuan was already used to this. He wasn't a banknote, so it was impossible for everyone to like him. Even the most perfect work would have its detractors.

He opened his private messages, which were still in the dozens or even hundreds. He read through them one by one, deleting the useless ones. Suddenly, one message caught his eye, making him feel a surge of excitement.

"Hello, Life is a Play. I am Guozi, an editor from Literature Village Publishing. Our company is interested in publishing your work 'My Wild Girlfriend.' Please reply when you see this message. Phone number: ..."

Zheng Rongxuan rubbed his chin as he read the message and said to the house spirit sprite, "Help me find information about Literature Village Publishing. See if they are reliable."

Writing web novels, few people don't want to be published. Originally, Zheng Rongxuan had hoped to attract the attention of a publishing house someday, but he didn't expect the surprise to come so soon. How long had it been? Someone had already discovered the value of "My Wild Girlfriend."

Zheng Rongxuan remembered that in his previous life, "My Wild Girlfriend" was published after the movie was made. He had originally aimed for a film production company or a director, as he had no connections in that field. However, now that a publishing house was interested, it wasn't bad. Perhaps after publication, a director might take notice.

"Literature Village is not the largest among Korean publishers. In the past two years, they have struggled due to a lack of popular books, and if this continues, they might only last another two years," the sprite said.

Zheng Rongxuan felt this was his opportunity. Only a struggling publisher would offer a good split and be easier to negotiate with. The major publishers might not even bother with a new writer like him.

"I don't have time during classes, and I need to write in my free time. If you are serious, please call my phone to set up a meeting," Zheng Rongxuan replied to the private message. He didn't rush to them, knowing their current difficulties meant they were the ones who would be more eager.

After replying to the message, Zheng Rongxuan called the store where he had bought his computer. Half an hour later, a laser printer was delivered. After paying 1.1 million Korean won, he unpacked it and installed it himself.

Zheng Rongxuan wasn't short of small amounts of money but needed large sums. He suddenly found out about another matter that greatly excited him. To achieve his goal, he spent one to two hours each night trading international currencies. Fortunately, his account already had over ten million RMB, and with another month of persistence, reaching his goal of over 100 million RMB wouldn't be difficult.

He opened the script and the sheet music and lyrics of the dozen or so songs he had written in his spare time, printed them out, and checked the time. It wasn't too late, so he put everything in his backpack and took the keys to go out.

"Is this Life is a Play? I didn't expect you to be a student. I hope I haven't disturbed your studies!"

In the afternoon, Zheng Rongxuan went to the Copyright Committee to register the copyright. During this time, he received a call from Guozi of Literature Village. They met at a café near Dongguk University. When they first met, the middle-aged man opposite him was somewhat surprised and showed respect when he learned that Zheng Rongxuan was a student at Dongguk University.

"You are too kind. Let's talk about the publication. Waiter, I'll have a Blue Mountain coffee. What would you like?" Zheng Rongxuan bowed slightly and sat opposite him, greeting him and the waitress who had come over.

After a heated discussion and a phone call with Park Hwanjin, Zheng Rongxuan ultimately refused to sell the rights and negotiated a 12% royalty, meaning he would earn 540 Korean won per book sold, after tax.

Satisfied, Zheng Rongxuan signed the contract. Guozi couldn't help but laugh, "Rongxuan, although your royalty isn't the highest in our publishing house, it's still in the top five. Do you have that much confidence in your book?"

Zheng Rongxuan laughed, "Of course. If my book wasn't good, why would your company be interested?"

"I see you are still writing other novels. I hope we can have more opportunities to work together in the future."

"Under the same conditions, I will definitely prioritize your company."

After dinner, Zheng Rongxuan tried to pay, but Guozi, a veteran of over ten years, insisted on paying. He felt it would be inappropriate to let a student pay for his meal. Zheng Rongxuan didn't argue, as it was just one dinner and wouldn't cost much.

When he returned to the apartment, Zheng Rongxuan was still excited. In his previous life, he had been a web novelist for over ten years but had never gained much attention, let alone been published. His monthly earnings from writing were barely a few thousand yuan, and his parents had often scolded him. But he had never given up. This time, with a fresh start, he had made a significant change. His first novel was already being considered for publication, which was a good omen.

Zheng Rongxuan automatically ignored the fact that his novel wasn't original. He felt no guilt about it, as someone would eventually write it, and he had just beaten them to it, especially since he had taken it from Hazelnut.

"Jiang Yan, I have something to tell you. When you finish using the piano at the music exchange, don't move it. I'll be using it too."

After finally calming down, Zheng Rongxuan couldn't help but laugh at himself. He had been a nobody in his previous life and was still getting used to his new identity as a millionaire. However, the money from the financial market couldn't be touched yet, as he had big plans for it. For now, he would live off the royalties, which would still allow him to live comfortably.

"You can play the piano? I never heard you mention it before!" Jiang Yan, on the other end of the call, was surprised.

To be honest, they weren't very familiar. Among the 20 exchange students, only Li Min was close to him, as they were from the same city and the same high school. He had only met the others when they came to Korea.

"I can play the piano. If you don't believe me, you can ask Li Min!"

"Okay, no problem. If you need anything, just let me know."

"Sure..." Zheng Rongxuan laughed, which immediately drew laughter from the others. (Please recommend and collect!)
