The venue for Su Yan’s concert was huge, an indoor stadium that could easily accommodate more than 20,000 people.

Su Yan was still rehearsing and although she wore a soft and white skirt, she did not look gentle at all. Her pair of chilly peach blossom eyes sent chills down the spine.

True to her reputation, Su Yan is a real cold ice cube.

Su Yan saw Chen Chen walk in and only nodded before continuing on with her rehearsal.

Jiang Ziquan and Shen Yumo sat near the stage but neither has heard a live performance by Su Yan before. Her voice was clear and smooth and she sang with emotion. Her love songs caused her listeners to remember the sweetness of love and she truly served to be one of the best superstars of her generation.

When her song ended, her rehearsal came to an end. Her assistant hurried forward and anxiously helped her put on a thick coat. Then Su Yan walked over to them.

The group introduced themselves to the other party and then Chen Chen and Su Yan continued to discuss a change of plans with the live performance. However, it was Chen Chen who was doing the talking while Su Yan nodded.

Jiang Ziquan felt bored and was more interested in the guitar on stage. She thought about it and decided that she wanted to show off in front of Shen Yumo with her talents. She still remembered when she gave Shen Yumo that painting. Not only was Shen Yumo happy, but it also showed that she was a woman full of skills.

On the other hand, Shen Yumo and Su Yan were separated by the two people so Shen Yumo could only see Su Yan’s side profile. Unlike her students, Shen Yumo was not obsessed with chasing after stars but for some reason, she felt that Su Yan looked familiar like she had seen her somewhere before.

Su Yan noticed Shen Yumo’s gaze and raised her head to meet her eyes. She gave Shen Yumo a confused look.

However, Shen Yumo didn’t feel embarrassed after getting caught and instead smiled back gently.

Su Yan felt uncomfortable and only nodded before returning back to her conversation with Chen Chen.

And Jiang Ziquan, who just recovered from the shock of seeing another smile from Shen Yumo, felt a little annoyed. She didn’t realize what had happened and had only seen the tail end of the smile. Why was Shen Yumo flirting just now?

And with Sister Chen too?

Chen Chen who was just feeling thirsty from all the talking felt a cold chill go down her back. She turned to look at Jiang Ziquan and saw that she was looking at her with some jealousy in her eyes. She could only chalk it up to Jiang Ziquan going crazy again and didn’t think much before continuing the conversation.

In the end, Chen Chen definitely fits the stereotype of being a rich Young Miss. After all that rambling and lecturing, there were only slight changes made and the performance continued on as planned.

Both Jiang Ziquan and Shen Yumo were holding glow sticks during the concert but they did not stand out as they stood among a group of real fans whose average age was barely 20. When the fans chanted their cheers, Jiang Ziquan dragged Shen Yumo into howling and roaring with her and it caused her throat to feel sore.

On Shen Yumo’s head, after Jiang Ziquan had to half-plead and half-coax her, she wore a blue light-up headgear. It didn’t diminish her elegant aura but instead gave her a playful feeling.

Jiang Ziquan also bought a matching red one and with all that gear the two looked like proper fans chasing after their stars.

After the concert, no matter where they went, they would always somehow end up in the middle of a group of hormonal young men. The faces of the young men were flushed red from the adrenaline and the heat from the crowd. After that happened a few times, they decided to return to the hotel instead of staying at the venue.

-------

Later that night, Jiang Ziquan stepped outside into the freezing cold. From a distance, Jiang Ziquan could see a car flashing their headlights at her and she quickly ran towards the car. When she opened the car door, she made sure it was the right person before she got in.

When she saw Su Yan sitting in the back with her eyes closed, Jiang Ziquan froze and then turned to look at Chen Chen sitting in the driver’s seat with a questioning gaze.

Chen Chen did not answer the question floating in her eyes and instead took out a pile of documents from who knows where and handed it to Jiang Ziquan with a serious expression.

“What’s all this?” Jiang Ziquan flipped through the documents and read through them carefully. They were documents about going abroad to study design.

Jiang Ziquan truly loved interior design, it was passion that was carved into her bones. When she graduated from college, she had an opportunity to study abroad but didn’t go in the end because she was still waiting for her ‘love at first sight to appear’ and thought that if she left the country she might accidentally miss out on her soulmate. Plus, the foreign designs at the time didn’t suit her tastes so she didn’t go in the end.

However, that didn’t mean that her skills didn’t improve because of one missed opportunity. Although there was no possibility of winning some international regard for her designs, they were considered pretty good in her hometown.

Chen Chen is a business giant now, but before she worked for her family. However, once a family makes too much money the household becomes corrupted and dirty. There were always some illegitimate children popping out of nowhere and when she was still young, she left the family company to strike it on her own. She didn’t want to get sucked into the messy factions that would suck her dry.

So naturally, she started up a real estate business and made a lot of money from it. As an influential and wealthy second generation, she knew instinctively what rich people liked for their houses. Further down the line, she was looking for a candidate who might be able to take up her mantle when it comes to design. Her first choice was, of course, her own apprentice, the person who turned down an opportunity to study abroad for love, Jiang Ziquan. She was someone reliable, cheap to hire, and very talented.

As long as she can fly Jiang Ziquan over to Country M and win a few prizes, she can raise Jiang Ziquan’s reputation. By having her work with the design geniuses in Country M, she can create a good enough reputation for Jiang Ziquan and have her take on the job of chief designer of her company. Not only was this good for her company, but it was also a good opportunity for Jiang Ziquan.

Jiang Ziquan flipped through the last pages and she naturally understood how valuable a trip to Country M could be. However, she still hadn’t captured Shen Yumo’s heart yet so she didn’t want to leave and didn’t know what to say.

Chen Chen seemed to have guessed her thoughts. Just like the old folks always say, a person’s IQ really does go down when they’re in love. It was easy to read Jiang Ziquan’s expression and they were only at the unrequited stage of the relationship. Who knows if her IQ will get worse later on?

She sighed, “I know you can’t bear leaving Teacher Shen behind, but aren’t you two at a bottleneck right now?”

“Yes.” Jiang Ziquan nodded. She felt that Shen Yumo had been treating her better lately, but it still wasn’t quite there. Thinking about it, she was a little embarrassed.

She had a faint feeling that Shen Yumo was treating her like a best friend, but she wanted to touch Shen Yumo, sleep with her and live the rest of her life in love with her. She did not want to be her friend.

Previously, Jiang Ziquan had always admired Chen Chen not just for her skills but for her relationship experience as well. Now that Chen Chen had called out her problem with just a glance, she was eager for a solution.

Only God knows how much white hair has appeared ever since she started racking her brain for ideas. At this point, she needs advice from Chen Chen, or else she will go crazy.

“Do you know the saying, ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’? With you sticking next to Teacher Shen every day, it makes sense for her to grow familiar with you but nothing will blossom from keeping the status quo.”

Jiang Ziquan digested her words and thought that it might be a good idea. If she can get Shen Yumo to start missing her presence, it might develop into something. Furthermore, the documents in her hand indicated that she would be gone during Chinese New Year but she will still be able to contact home through video calls and whatnot.

“Alright, I agree with your plan.”

After they finished discussing the finer details, Jiang Ziquan asked Chen Chen what she had said earlier to Shen Yumo to get her to agree to go backstage.

Chen Chen’s expression was unreadable as she glanced at Su Yan and then back at Jiang Ziquan.

“I’ll text you tonight and explain then.”

Jiang Ziquan found it baffling, but couldn’t do anything to force an answer out of her and only patted her clothes before saying goodbye.

“I’m back.” Jiang Ziquan announced and entered the room. She took a few steps forwards and then stopped. She heard moaning sounds coming from inside. What the hell?

Although the voice was very soft, Jiang Ziquan could still hear it. Then she saw Shen Yumo standing next to the bed, her face flushed red with some tears in her eyes as she watched a porn video on the TV.

Without thinking, Jiang Ziquan said directly, “At least wait for me to come back so we can watch it together.”

Shen Yumo’s face turned even redder and her fair neck burned with the same red. In her anger and frustration, she slapped Jiang Ziquan in the face.

After Jiang Ziquan finally recovered from her initial shock and knowing Shen Yumo’s temperament, she understood that Shen Yumo wouldn’t watch these things in the first place. She also didn’t mind being slapped and glared at because the currently blushing Shen Yumo was so much cuter than the usual polite and cautious Shen Yumo.

“I…couldn’t find the switch.”

Jiang Ziquan raised her hand and touched around the TV, trying to find the off switch and then finally found a small switch next to the dressing table.

Perhaps Shen Yumo had accidentally turned it on when she was removing her makeup.

Sometimes, these types of rooms came with a user manual. However, Shen Yumo didn’t care for these small little modifications and Jiang Ziquan knew that Shen Yumo would never willingly agree to flip through such a booklet.

The atmosphere turned awkward for a while due to Shen Yumo being thin-skinned. She was somewhat angry with herself and sat there silently with a slight frown on her face.

Jiang Ziquan just wanted to see more of the angry and blushing Shen Yumo, because it was much more different than the usual cold and distant treatment. True, Shen Yumo treated everyone like that, but in the last two months, since she met her, this was the first time she has seen her this angry. Even worse than yesterday when she found out about the love hotel.

Jiang Ziquan took out a stack of photos and handed them over, “Sister Chen had the film processed for us.”

“What?” Shen Yumo’s voice was level, after all, she was mainly angry with herself.

The photos were taken during the concert. There were too many people so she had to ask Chen Chen for help in getting good photos.

Chen Chen was still a master of love in the end and gave her a lot of good photos. Although she couldn’t be considered ugly in those photos, they were not flattering angles for Jiang Ziquan. She looked like she was flying all over the place, but Shen Yumo still looked pretty in each one.

There were many people in the photo and Jiang Ziquan had been conscious about the sea of people around them the entire time. From time to time, she would reach out to block the people behind them in case they touched Shen Yumo. They were heartwarming gestures but the photos caused them to look family and each expression was exaggerated.

Shen Yumo finally couldn’t stifle her laughter anymore and a smile curved on her lips.

Jiang Ziquan was dissatisfied with the photos at first, but now she didn’t mind them at all. She even shamelessly praised her own looks and gave a thumbs up to Chen Chen in her heart.

After looking through the photos, the atmosphere became less awkward and Jiang ZIquan took out another stack: “Your students really like Su Yan, right?”

It was a stack of photos autographed by Su Yan.

“I wanted to grab some more, at least one for each, but it would be too heavy to carry so many stacks.”

Shen Yumo felt stunned. In her mind, she thought that there must be something strange about Jiang Ziquan brian. Although everyone had a different way to wooing another, who would give you a stack of autographed photos to give to your students?

Forget it. She sighed, “Thank you.”

Jiang ZIquan leaned forward, flashing a bright smile, “Do I get a reward?”

Although she didn’t know how to pursue people, she was great at taking advantage of others as she pointed at her own cheek.

“Alright, close your eyes.” Shen Yumo replied.

Naturally, Jiang Ziquan obeyed and closed her eyes obediently. After a while, she felt something cold press against her face, but it was not Shen Yumo’s lips.

She opened her eyes and looked at the thing in Shen Yumo’s hand and complained, “You actually made Su Yan kiss me instead? Ah, my heart hurts.”

Grumbling, she sat down on the ground like a little girl who was just bullied. If Su Yan’s diehard fans knew that Jiang Ziquan would be so disgusted with their idol, they would probably tear her into pieces.

Shen Yumo would never admit that she actually used the backside of Su Yan’s photo when she touched Jiang Ziquan’s face.
