"Business trip? Europe?" Hao Ren looked at Raven 12345 with some surprise, "How come I have a foreign tenant now?"

Raven 12345 gave Hao Ren a strange look up and down, "When will your thinking catch up? I already told you they are abnormal beings, they don't have nationalities! Your vampire was born when the山顶洞人 (Cave-dwelling people) couldn't even walk upright, so what country does she belong to?"

Hao Ren quickly patted his head and admitted his mistake, saying that his imagination had been constrained by the rigid thinking of Earthlings. Then he hurriedly asked about the details of the mission: "Who to pick up? Where exactly? When to go? And the most important one—will the organization cover the round-trip airfare?"

"Look at your low expectations," Raven 12345 glanced at Hao Ren sideways, "Don't worry, all your expenses will be covered by the organization. I originally planned to open a portal for you, but considering that new employees need training, it's better for you to handle it yourself. As for what your 'client' looks like... well, I'm not sure yet. His arrival process was special, and he was probably disguised. However, the data terminal you carry will emit a recognition signal, and he will come to you. You don't need to worry about the passport and other procedures; I've already prepared them for you through 'special channels.' Take them with you when you leave."

Hao Ren nodded repeatedly, then suddenly remembered something: "Right, what about the two at home? They still fight every now and then... I really can't leave them unsupervised!"

Thinking about how much trouble Lili and Vivianna could cause when left unattended, and how long his house could withstand their battles, Hao Ren broke out in a cold sweat: This issue needed to be resolved in advance; he didn't want to call the construction team to rebuild his house as soon as he got home.

"Take the two from home, they might be useful. I've also prepared their documents," Raven 12345 waved her hand, "After all, the vampire has traveled the world, and the werewolf can help in a fight. This trip will be a good opportunity to build your team. Don't worry about them refusing; I've checked, and they're... idle."

Hao Ren was very concerned about what "building the team" and "being useful" meant, and his instinct told him there was a vague sense of danger, but he didn't ask further: Raven 12345 was happy to explain the current situation but never revealed future plans, and he already understood this.

"Once you understand the situation, leave quickly," Raven 12345 patted Hao Ren on the shoulder, "Check your bank account; the funds for this mission are already there. I'll send you the specific meeting location and details to your data terminal this afternoon. This is a small mission; every probationary inspector starts with these trivial tasks—good training."

Hao Ren nodded just in time and felt a dizzying sensation. When he came to, he was back on the road near Wangbatuozi. The pain in his shoulder and the file bag in his hand confirmed that his experience wasn't a dream. Each visit to that mansion felt like a surreal dream, mainly because the teleportation process was too unbelievable.

He thought about Raven 12345 mentioning the funds being transferred to his bank account and couldn't help but smirk: Not to mention how she knew his account number, but given her capabilities, nothing she did was surprising. What was truly worth complaining about was that even working for a god required such mundane methods to allocate funds... it certainly didn't match the descriptions in novels.

"Ah, I forgot something!" Hao Ren suddenly slapped his forehead, "I didn't ask about Vivianna's blood magic failing!"

A few days ago, Vivianna tried to use blood magic to calm Hao Ren's "nightmare," but neither the magic nor the vampire blood worked; instead, they were absorbed by Hao Ren. This had been a concern for him, but during the meeting with Raven 12345, he was too caught up in the conversation to ask.

Looking at the clear sky and thinking about how busy Raven 12345 seemed, Hao Ren shook his head and decided to ask next time.

He took a bus back to Bai Shi Road in the southern suburbs. To his relief, his house looked fine, with no smoke or suspicious explosions. It seemed the two superwomen hadn't fought while he was out—though it was also possible that Lili was out on a "house call." Hao Ren opened the door with his key and called out, "I'm back!"

The house was quiet, with no sounds of anyone inside. Hao Ren closed the door and noticed the silence; the air conditioner in the living room was off. He peeked around for a while, and finally, "Gulun" (a nickname for Lili) casually came out of the kitchen to greet him.

"Damn... didn't those two superwomen go out to duel!" Hao Ren thought of a terrifying possibility. He wasn't usually so pessimistic, but after Vivianna and Lili almost came to blows over whether a Tibetan Mastiff could beat a wolf, he realized that as long as those two superwomen lived with him, he had to expect the worst. Anything could happen if they were out of his sight!

Hao Ren felt uneasy, especially since it was hot and he had been walking in the sun. He found the remote to turn on the air conditioner but discovered that the power was out.

"What's going on today... everything's going wrong after I got this mission?" Hao Ren thought superstitiously.

Just then, he heard two familiar female voices at the door, and he felt a weight lift from his chest: Vivianna and Lili were back, and they hadn't duelled.

"Hey, landlord, you're back?" Lili bounced into the room, surprised to see Hao Ren, "It's almost noon, let's eat, landlord?"

... This wolf girl's brain must be made of noodles and rice; she can't think of anything else when it's mealtime!

"What were you doing?" Hao Ren wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked at Vivianna (Lili was already in a waiting-for-meal state and not worth talking to), "I thought you two went out to duel."

"The power was out, and I thought it was time to pay the electricity bill," Vivianna smiled, "So I went out with the big dog."

Lili, unusually, didn't jump up to argue with Vivianna: She was called "big dog" so often by Vivianna that she no longer reacted.

"Pay the electricity bill with two people?" Hao Ren looked at Vivianna strangely but quickly understood, "Oh, right, you can't touch money."

Vivianna's smile froze, and the feeling of being hit where it hurts must not have been good, but she shrugged indifferently, "The neighborhood transformer burned out, and the power was out for half a day."

Hao Ren nodded and fanned himself with a magazine, "What a pain, it's so hot... the power outage couldn't have come at a worse time. Hey, Lili, what's wrong with you?"

Lili was squatting on the sofa on all fours, tongue out, panting hard, "I ran a bit too fast when we came back, and I'm a bit hot."

Hao Ren and Vivianna stared in disbelief: Lili was indeed a big dog, and her cooling method was quite advanced!

Although seeing a pretty girl in such a silly pose had a certain charm, Hao Ren couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable, so he gently reminded Lili, "In your current form... do you need to stick out your tongue?"

Lili thought for a moment, touched the sweat on her body, and then realized, "Oh, it's a habit, I always forget, and I haven't changed it in years."

Hao Ren chuckled awkwardly, not sure what to say, but at that moment, a cool breeze suddenly blew from the side.

He turned in surprise and saw Vivianna had transformed into her vampire state, surrounded by a visible pale red blood mist, and was emitting cold air while waving two small fans to cool the room.

"Landlord, does this work?"

Hao Ren's eyes widened, "Wow, this works?!"

Lili, forgetting that Vivianna was her mortal enemy, quickly scooted over, enjoying the cool breeze, "Hey, winged one, don't you usually emit a strange smell when you release cold air?"

Vivianna raised an eyebrow, "That's only when I'm fighting. Can't I just release some clean air to cool myself down?"

Hao Ren was amazed at the proper use of a supernatural being and smiled, "Great, Vivianna, you can be the air conditioner. The savings on electricity alone will cover half your rent!"

Then he announced the mission he had just received from Raven 12345: "By the way, I have a mission in a few days—a trip for the Temporal Administration, to Europe, with no time limit. It would be best if you came with me. Are you free?"
