"Did you bring her here, then?" Raven 12345 squinted at the werewolf girl crouching beside her, who was growling threateningly in her throat. "Hey, I'll tell you, all my furniture is made of extraordinary alloy. I won't be responsible if her teeth get damaged."

Hao Ren was trying to pull Lily's tail to drag her away from Raven's desk, his face full of embarrassment as he explained, "Her symptoms weren't this severe when we first arrived. Who knew that after teleporting, she wouldn't even be able to speak... Fortunately, she hasn't started biting people yet."

They were, of course, in Raven 12345's office, and Lily's condition seemed to have worsened since she woke up in the morning: the werewolf girl could no longer walk upright. She was on all fours, crouching beside Raven 12345's desk, her head lowered, ignoring everyone. All that could be heard were growls like those of a wild beast. Now, she was biting everything within reach, including the furniture in the room and the door frame when they entered. She even bit an arcane servant passing by, only to be hit in the face by the backlash of an arcane shock wave—worse still, she couldn't speak anymore.

But Hao Ren knew that Lily was still mentally clear. She was gnawing on hard objects to divert her attention to something else, trying her best to avoid attacking others. Biting the arcane servant was purely accidental: who could blame her when it didn't even look human? Lily probably mistook it for jelly.

Even Vivian, who usually didn't get along with Lily, now wore a worried expression. The vampire girl, who was fundamentally kind-hearted, looked at Lily with some sympathy. "Why don't we find her a steel pipe to chew on?"

"No need, it's not a big problem," Raven 12345 waved Hao Ren away, then squatted in front of Lily, forcing her to look up. "Little wolf girl, look into my eyes."

Strangely, Lily, who was almost unable to think normally except by instinct, suddenly calmed down when she heard Raven's words. Her breathing gradually steadied, and she stared at Raven 12345's face, mumbling, "Doctor?"

"Yes, I'm the doctor now. Look into my eyes and tell me what you see," Raven 12345 said gently, her tone so soft that Hao Ren wanted to bang his head against the wall: why couldn't this crazy goddess speak like this normally?!

A glimmer of clarity flashed in Lily's eyes. After a long look, she nodded. "There's half a noodle at the corner of your mouth..."

Raven 12345 slapped Lily's forehead. "I told you to look at my eyes, not my mouth, you dimwit!"

Hao Ren felt relieved: great, it's still the usual crazy goddess, with just the right amount of nonsense.

Izzak, who had been standing respectfully with his head bowed, couldn't help but touch Hao Ren's arm. "Is the management god of your world usually like this?"

"Sure, isn't it different in other worlds?" Hao Ren replied casually.

"Of course," Izzak muttered, "Seventy percent of the Xilin gods are expressionless... How did you end up with this one?"

Hao Ren: "..."

At this moment, Raven 12345 was still trying to awaken something in Lily's heart. She pressed Lily's head, and her eyes began to glow with a blue-white light, her voice calm and deep, as if it had a magical quality. "Don't worry about anything you see; it's all an illusion. You are in a very safe place. Now, little girl, tell me what you see."

"...The moon, a big, round moon..." Lily remained crouched on the ground, but her muscles were gradually relaxing. "It's red, and there's something like seawater churning on it... There really is a noodle at the corner of your mouth."

"Be serious! Focus on my eyes!" Raven 12345 wiped her mouth. "What else besides the moon? Recall what happened that night. Besides what you saw with your eyes, what else appeared in your mind?"

"There are people on the moon... I can't see them, but I know there are many people on the moon, and they are melting, becoming part of the seawater... There are also people on the ground, and everyone is melting. I'm scared... I want to be stronger so I won't melt... You didn't clean it properly, there's still some at the corner of your mouth."

Raven 12345 smiled. "...Girl, let's draw our weapons and have a decisive battle."

Hao Ren quickly stepped in to mediate, not knowing why serious matters always ended up like this, but knowing his job was to smooth things over. "Alright, alright, she's a bit dim and speaks without thinking, let alone now when she can only think with her brainstem. By the way, what's going on with Lily?"

"This vampire of yours is quite something," Raven 12345 stood up and looked deeply at Vivian. "She's very powerful, but she probably doesn't know how to control it yet. This little wolf isn't a problem; she's just been invaded by disaster illusions at the subconscious level. She hasn't noticed it, but every time she sleeps, she's stimulated by nightmares, gradually leading to a loss of control. That's why her condition has worsened so much after just one night: she's been scared by nightmares."

As she spoke, Raven 12345 bent down and patted Lily's head. "Actually, I have some good news for you..."

Before Raven 12345 could finish, Hao Ren blurted out, "This girl is pregnant?"

The room fell into an unprecedented silence, with only the sound of Lily gnawing on the table. Vivian looked at Hao Ren with a strange expression. "Landlord, what are you thinking?"

Hao Ren hurriedly explained, "Well, isn't that how it always goes in TV shows? After a twist, it's always 'the girl is pregnant'..."

Raven 12345 flicked a small electric ball at Hao Ren's forehead. "With a brain like yours, you'd thrive in Shadow City. All kinds of people are there, and you'd definitely find your kind. But what I'm saying is—this little wolf is about to evolve."

Lily, who was gnawing on the table leg, suddenly stopped, her ears perking up: she wasn't completely out of it yet.

"Evolve?" Hao Ren found this development quite surprising. "Is she a Digimon?"

"...Wait, I'll treat this little wolf pup later. If we delay any longer, it'll be too late," Raven 12345 sighed. "Do you even know this little girl isn't an adult yet?"

"She's an adult," Vivian was the first to speak up. "Look at her, does she look like a minor?"

"Just in appearance," Raven 12345 sneered. "Maybe she's physically an adult, but as a werewolf, her abilities are clearly lacking. I heard from Hao Ren that Lily doesn't have any special abilities besides her strength, right?"

"She has a good sense of smell," Hao Ren quickly added, "and she can grow a tail."

"That's not a special ability!" Raven 12345 summoned an arcane servant with a wave of her hand and pointed at Hao Ren. "Someone, give this gentleman some medicine! Just make sure he can't speak!"

Hao Ren immediately shut up, while Vivian nodded thoughtfully. "Right, I've always been curious about this. Normal werewolves, though not skilled in magic, at least have some innate abilities, like active rage, shadow step, and moonlight concealment. But this big dog seems to have nothing except incredible strength and health. She even thought her five years of practicing brick-throwing was a super move. But do werewolves have an 'evolution' thing? I thought they naturally develop these abilities as they grow older. Does this big dog look like she's about to have a growth spurt?"

"Who's more abnormal than the other?" Raven 12345 said with a hint of deeper meaning. "Normal werewolves grow gradually, but this little girl is being stimulated to hyper-evolve by your moonlight. Well, that's a good thing. Better to endure a short pain than a long one. Hao Ren, you'll save five years of cleaning up the furniture Lily chews on: werewolves always regress when they awaken new abilities, and the normal growth period is five years!"

Hao Ren wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. He didn't care about anything else; he was relieved to know that Lily's condition was a normal physiological phenomenon (albeit slightly out of control).

The next thing to consider was how to safely get this dimwit through the evolution period.

(Heading out tonight, updated at noon today. I'll pick a good day to resume double updates when I have some free time over the next few days.)
