Chapter 3

After spending two days at home, Jiang Haofeng was eventually asked by his secretary to return to work. Just as Shen Shujie had finished helping him with his tie and was seeing him out the door, Jiang Haofeng came to a full stop in the doorway. Shen Shujie glanced at him for a moment, then rising up onto his tiptoes, gave him a quick kiss on the lips. “Do you want me to send you lunch later?”

Jiang Haofeng’s reply was straightforward, “No need, the company is quite far away so you’d better stay at home and rest.”

Shen Shujie nodded in agreement. “Alright, in that case, I won’t go.”

His reply left someone quite speechless.

Shen Shujie looked at the time again and quickly began to push at him to move. “Why aren’t you leaving yet, just because you’re the boss, that doesn’t mean you can always be late!”

Jiang Haofeng could not help but swear at himself for that slip-of-the-tongue moment and reluctantly left.

Shen Shujie did not have many interests or hobbies, so when Jiang Haofeng finally left, there was a sudden moment where he had no idea of what to do. After watching a movie for a while, he decided to have a quick scroll through Weibo. Truth be told, he did not have anything much to post, so after some thinking, he decided to upload pictures of the little pastries he made two days ago.

After he uploaded this, Shen Shujie put his phone aside and continued to finish the movie he was watching. 40 minutes later, when the movie had finally finished, he picked up his phone again and began to look through the comments that had just been made.

Although Shen Shujie was not exactly popular, he did have a small following, and in the span of a couple of minutes, his post had already amassed more than 100 replies. Truth be told, even though he never replied to their comments, Shen Shujie very much enjoyed how his fans would comment as though they were talking with him.

“Ah ah ah ah the sofa !!!”

“Cute!!! They’re super duper cute! As cute as Shushu!!”

“Gosh, I wish I could eat some! Shushu is such a virtuous person!”

“Wanna eat +1! If only Shushu can send us some cakes one day!!”

“Ah ah ah ah ah ah~ My shu is the cutest! My shu is even sweeter and cuter than those cakes!”

Shen Shujie could not help but smile as he read through the comments. He was very grateful for the affection and support his fans gave him and could not help but feel a fuzzy feeling of warmth.

A lot of the comments were quite similar, except for some from a particular user ID. Whenever he saw comments from this ID, he could not help but think that in their past life, his fans must have dug through this person’s ancestral burial grounds.

Whenever Shen Shujie saw this ID he always felt a headache coming on. If one wanted to say she was an anti-fan, it did not seem to fit, because she never directed any attacks at him… And if one wanted to say she was a fan then that was not right either because she never praised him. Plus, she always seemed to be against his fans…

This ID had been around for at least three years now, and previously some of his fans would take up the challenge and argue with her, but now most of his regular fans seemed desensitized to her comments, which meant that only the newer fans would actually reply to these comments.

“Hahahaha, I think this little wifey is not Shushu’s ‘anti’, it’s pretty obvious she’s our ‘anti’!”

“I agree! But truthfully, her type of person is kind of annoying though. Shushu is everyone’s not just hers, and since she always comes to find fault with us, shouldn’t we fight back?”

“I hate her too +1, Shushu really is everyone’s…”

Shen Shujie silently watched as the argument got more heated, and he could not help but feel a sense of hilarity about the situation. This little girl’s battles were always like that. One plain and simple reason could incite a war that could raze heaven and earth… He finally put aside his phone and walked to the kitchen to begin preparing lunch. Even though he had just said he was not going to go, but recalling the peeved look on Jiang Haofeng’s face when he had left this morning, Shen Shujie ultimately decided to give him a surprise.
