Chapter 2: The First Assassination Sword of Bai Niaosheng

Bai Niaosheng became the most mysterious and popular player in "Shushan 2," a game with an unprecedented operational lifespan of fifty years, due to this legend. No one could surpass him until Yue Long'er transferred to the Mars server.

The self-created sword technique he used to assassinate Dugu Qiuyou became the benchmark for measuring top players in "Shushan 2." He was hailed as the "First Assassination Sword" in the game. The leader of the largest guild, Minjiang Sect, Drunken Green Ox, once said on the forum with a tinge of jealousy: "If someone masters Bai Niaosheng's First Assassination Sword and stands before you, then... you are already a dead man! No one can describe the elegance of that sword, just as no one can avoid a fart in a sealed car."

Qingfeng Mingjian, the first master of "Shushan 2," when asked if he could resist this sword, said without hesitation: "Bai Niaosheng never had the chance to use this sword against me... His sword is invincible within twenty steps, but apart from Queen Yue, no one can get within a hundred steps of me during a duel."

It must be said that at the time, the ID Yue Long'er had not yet appeared in "Shushan 2," so no one knew the power of Queen Yue, nor could they understand the hidden tribute in Qingfeng Mingjian's words.

It wasn't until later, when the leaderless World Sword Assembly was completely defeated in the ensuing battles, falling from the third-largest guild to a third-rate small guild. Under the efforts of another deputy leader, Qinglian Sword Brother, it barely survived for three years. However, due to offending a new female player, Yue Long'er, the 57-level Yue Long'er single-handedly attacked the World Sword Assembly's headquarters, slaying eighteen experts over level 130 and killing Qinglian Sword Brother nine times. The World Sword Assembly thus disintegrated and disbanded, marking the beginning of the Queen Yue era in "Shushan 2."

It was then that everyone understood what Qingfeng Mingjian meant.

Bai Niaosheng's terror didn't stop there!

Bai Niaosheng had always been very low-key. Although everyone knew his sword skills were formidable, no one could have imagined his sword control had reached such a terrifying level. In the ten minutes between killing Dugu Qiuyou and posting on the forum, he slaughtered over 130 high-level players of the World Sword Assembly, almost all with one-hit kills. No one could withstand his First Assassination Sword. No one knew how many experts Bai Niaosheng looted from the World Sword Assembly during that turmoil, nor how severe the blow was to the World Sword Assembly.

He falsely issued Dugu Qiuyou's orders, directing the World Sword Assembly's strongest combat team to attack the headquarters of the Azure Dragon Society. Although the Azure Dragon Society mobilized over 90% of its forces to battle the World Sword Assembly, the defense of the headquarters was very strong. The World combat team paid a heavy price in that rash attack.

After repelling the World combat team, the two deputy leaders and the remaining dozens of people guarding the headquarters of the Azure Dragon Society were exhausted. Just as they were celebrating their survival, they unfortunately saw the bloodthirsty Bai Niaosheng. He had planned this step from the beginning, detaching from the main battlefield of the World Sword Assembly and the Azure Dragon Society at the most opportune time, and single-handedly attacked the headquarters of the Azure Dragon Society.

After that battle, the victorious Azure Dragon Society announced that 219 of their experts were ambushed by Bai Niaosheng, losing numerous divine weapons, treasures, and equipment. The loss list published on the forum immediately made dozens of guilds and individuals red-eyed, declaring they would trade with Bai Niaosheng, with any conditions. Some less harmonious guilds and players even posted tasks, offering any conditions to anyone who could kill Bai Niaosheng.

The leader of the 12th-ranked Ghost Shadow Sect, upon seeing the list, sighed: "Large guilds are indeed wealthy; the items on this list are ten times more valuable than all the assets of our Ghost Shadow Sect."

Bai Niaosheng looted two major guilds and hundreds of high-level accounts, including fifteen warehouse accounts of the Azure Dragon Society and the World Sword Assembly. These warehouse accounts suffered the most, as Bai Niaosheng used Soul Revival Charms to kill them repeatedly until they couldn't even drop healing potions. According to some informed sources, the World Sword Assembly's losses were more than five times those of the Azure Dragon Society. After all, Bai Niaosheng was extremely familiar with the World Sword Assembly, making the looting particularly smooth. Some even claimed: After this battle, Bai Niaosheng's personal wealth was almost on par with the total assets of any of the three major guilds.

However, when many people predicted that Bai Niaosheng would expand his influence and form a new guild, it was a shock to everyone that Bai Niaosheng did not reappear in "Shushan 2" after that.

Dugu Qiuyou went into hiding because of this incident, and even a pig could understand the reason: the leader of the World Sword Assembly was too ashamed to show his face. But no one could guess why Bai Niaosheng also disappeared from "Shushan 2." Although there were various theories on the "Shushan 2" forum, none were close to the truth.

Even Bai Sheng himself took a whole day to understand what had happened and how awkward his situation was. This story is not long to tell.

Bai Sheng is Bai Niaosheng in the game. After posting the thread that caused a sensation on the "Shushan 2" forum for decades, he began the most exhilarating battle of his life. When he logged out of the game, something strange happened. Bai Sheng suddenly felt a tingling sensation and was knocked unconscious by an electric shock. When he woke up, he found himself in an unfamiliar setting, surrounded by wilderness. He had no equipment left, only a low-quality flying sword and a tattered blue Daoist robe.

Behind him was a small cave just large enough for him to sit cross-legged, offering no protection from the wind and rain. He was sitting on a rock jutting out into the air, with nothing but a sheer drop on all sides. Looking down, he could see a sea of clouds, indicating the high altitude. Looking up, he saw only dense greenery, unable to see the peak of the mountain. There was no way up or down, making it a dead end.

At first, Bai Sheng was not too panicked. He thought it was either a server crash or a hacker attack, neither of which was a big deal. Bai Sheng was someone who could handle losses. If he lost his level in the game, he could start over; if he lost his items, he could go and steal them again; if he couldn't learn advanced sword techniques, he could create his own. However, when he realized he couldn't find the option to log out of the game or bring up the game interface, he began to feel a chill down his spine.

As the sky gradually darkened, another set of memories, not his own, slowly surfaced in Bai Sheng's mind. It was then that he realized he had been transported to another world, not turned into an NPC in the game.
