A vast horde of goblins spread out before me.
Rushing into them alone would be insane, but I'm not without a plan.
I have 'Healing Magic.' And not just any, but the best kind.
Even if I get injured, I can heal myself with it.
The goblins approach to within arm's reach.
Suddenly, I feel a strange sensation. My hand seems to move on its own.
"Huh?"
Upon closer inspection, my hand is covered in what looks like goblin bodily fluids. Behind me lies the bisected corpse of a goblin.
It seems I did this... but there's no time to think about it now. Thousands of goblins are attacking me.
However, even when their attacks hit, they're nothing to me, someone who regularly cuts himself.
"Ah, what!? Goblins are weak!?"
I can heal myself as I accumulate more injuries. And I keep slicing through the goblins.
Eventually, my hand moving on its own no longer bothers me. I just trace the bodies of the nearby goblins, and they die.

After using Heal countless times, it finally appeared.
A goblin much larger than the others, holding what looks like a club.
"A Goblin King, huh..."

With the Goblin King's roar, the other goblins attack en masse.
"Wh-What the hell!?"
I trace the approaching goblins with my knife, and they die.
Finally, only the Goblin King and I remain.
I don't know if I killed all the goblins or if the survivors fled, but the town should be safe now.
Still, how did I manage to kill the goblins?
I've never fought monsters before, not even in the village. The only explanation is the result of my Healing Magic training.

Most of the skilled adventurers are here. That means the town is almost defenseless now.

The commander says this, but it seems impossible to make it in time.
After a while, we finish exterminating the horde and head to the opposite side of the town.

When we reach the other side of the town, the large horde of monsters is gone.
Only one person in a black coat with a hood remains. The ground is littered with countless goblin corpses. Upon closer inspection, even the Goblin King is dead.
This means one thing: this person killed the entire horde alone, which took dozens of us to defeat.
I get goosebumps, despite myself.
Suddenly, the person speaks.
"I've been taken care of by this town. Consider it a favor."
With that, the person returns to the town.
None of us in the extermination team, including me, could move from the spot.
