The darkness dominated my vision. The thing covering my body was slightly cool, but it felt good.

So, where am I? Obviously, I'm in the futon. After causing a big fuss at the guild, I rented a room at an inn and immediately fell into a sulk as soon as I entered.

"Haa, what should I do from tomorrow... But before that, I need to go clean up, though it's embarrassing to face them."

Knock knock

I thought I heard a knock on the door, but there's no way anyone would come to see me in this new town.

Knock knock

I heard it again... Maybe I'm just lonely. Haa, I'll go to sleep.

Bang bang!

It's definitely me!

"Ah, sorry! I'll open it now!"

It was the innkeeper.

"Right now, a guest of yours is waiting downstairs. Come down when you're ready."

This must be someone from the guild. No, it could even be a guard because of the trouble I caused...

...Should I run?

I decided to do it and immediately put it into action. Without even looking down, I dove out of the window with a lot of momentum.

The receptionist was waiting with a smile, which turned into an accident.

"Huh."

"I thought you'd come here (smiling)."

There was no way I could go back to the room, so I followed gravity and fell towards the receptionist. I was sure to hit her.

However, as expected of a receptionist, she effortlessly caught me in a princess carry. I'm a guy, though! I'm a guy, though! I thought it was important, so... sorry.

"Um, can you please put me down now..."

"Well, I can put you down, but please don't run away, okay?"

"...Are you here to catch me?"

"Well, let's go to the guild first."

The receptionist, who was holding my hand, was making my mood drop. The gazes from around were painful.

"Is it okay to hold hands like this...?"

"Well, it's fine for me. Although it might cause some trouble for my job in the future."

"Serious injury!?"

In the city, just holding hands with a beautiful woman can cause serious injury... It's too scary.

---

Now I'm in the guild room for the second time today. In the room are me, the receptionist, and the guild master.

"Nest, you came. Actually, I have something to talk about regarding your healing magic."

"Um, yes..."

Is this the result? I already know I'm not good, so there's no need to call me...

"First, where did you learn your healing magic?"

"Well, I learned it on my own..."

I come from a normal family! We didn't have much money.

"...How did you learn it?"

Huh? How did I learn it...

"First, I cut my fingers. Then I cut my arms and legs. I healed them with Heal."

"I see..."

He suddenly looked serious and fell silent, then raised his head after a while.

"Next, is that Heal?"

"Eh, y-yes, it's Heal..."

Maybe it's so bad that it doesn't even look like Heal. I guess self-study is tough...

"Finally, what do you want to do at the guild?"

What can I do at the guild...?

"Save money, I guess."

"Why do you want to save money?"

"Well, I studied healing magic on my own, but I could only learn Heal. I want to learn from a professional, so I need a lot of money..."

If I do that, I can use more healing magic.

After that, the questions ended, and the guild master and the receptionist started talking.

---

Now, I'm thinking about Nest, the person in front of me.

He suddenly came to the guild and used an incredible healing magic, then suddenly ran out of the guild.

Now, Asaha (the receptionist) has brought him back. According to her, the healing magic he used was Heal.

Heal is supposed to only close wounds. While that's already very helpful, Nest's was far beyond that.

And he thinks it's below average and wants to learn from a professional.

"Guild master, what do you think about him? I'd like to keep him in the guild if possible."

Asaha, who I trust because of the neck injury incident, is suggesting this to me.

---

"...Well, we can lend him some space in the guild."

---

"Nest, the guild will allow you to use a part of the space!"

I thought they were just talking, but suddenly I got permission to use the guild.

"Really!? Thank you!"

That's great. I was sure it would be rejected, so I'm surprised.

"Also, this is confidential... but..."

What...? Is it bad news...?

"The healing magic you used is not Heal."

Gaaaaaaah! It was really bad news. I never thought what I used wasn't Heal...

"No, this is not a bad thing."

No, it is a bad thing. I said I could use Heal, but it turned out I couldn't... Is this some kind of punishment game?

"Normally, Heal is only supposed to close wounds."

Eh, Heal only closes wounds...?

"But my Heal can regenerate limbs."

I thought that was normal, but it's not?

"That's abnormal. Even though I'm not a professional, I can tell that's wrong."

R-Really?

"Maybe if you become a saint, you could do that."

"What's a saint?"

I was drawn to the new word.

"A title given to the best healing magic user in the church in the capital. And apparently, the current one is very beautiful."

R-Really!!! Someone who uses the same healing magic as me, and is at the top... And beautiful!!

"Of course, Nest is interested in that, right?"

A cold voice echoed.

"O-Onee-san...?"

"I'm Asaha, not Onee-san."

Asaha said firmly.

"Y-Yes, Asaha! Sorry!"

"It's okay, you're a boy, I understand."

No, you don't understand. Asaha's smile is scary...

"Anyway, getting back to the point, the saint might have the ability to teach you."

"R-Really? I never thought my healing magic was that amazing, I thought it was normal."

"It's not just amazing, it's almost monstrous. Oh, by the way, the saint is coming here tomorrow."

Monstrous... Hmm, not very happy about that.

"Wait, the saint is coming!? Tomorrow!?"

"Yeah, she's doing charity work, treating injured people at the guild."

Tomorrow... If I wait until tomorrow, I might meet the saint. Maybe I can learn from her. The only thing I can do today is go to bed early!!

"Guild master, Asaha! I'll go home early and go to bed now! And thank you for the guild thing—!"

I was planning to go home and go to bed, but the innkeeper found out I jumped out of the window and scolded me thoroughly.

I'm not crying!!!
