Pleasant times pass by in the blink of an eye.
I remember from my previous life, a bit of psychology suggested that "the perception of time is influenced by the degree of attention paid to its passage, making it feel longer or shorter." In other words, the more you worry about time, the slower it seems to pass. I understand this; listening to long speeches from executives or important people can make even 15 or 30 minutes feel incredibly long, even though it shouldn't be that unbearable when you think about it. But when you're at home, just lounging around and watching TV, time flies by... Ah, those days are familiar.
Since I reincarnated and became a maid, things have been fulfilling and busy, and I often realize it's already night. This didn't change even after we came to this resort.
Well, I wasn't worried about the honey that Messa and Regina were in charge of. Despite their usual bickering, they managed to shop together, and I noticed a cute rose earring in Regina's ear. Good for them, it seems they had some quality time as a couple! They apparently found a high-quality beekeeper who cultivates various types of roses, and we decided to purchase honey regularly from them. Is this a post-facto report? Well, they seem quite confident, as they came to me with all the necessary documents. Of course, as their superior, I could reject it, but I trust their judgment. However, I did remind them that post-facto reports are problematic. I also corrected the quantity a bit. Too much honey could be an issue, and the finance officer might have something to say about it! After all, mail-order can be quite expensive... though regular purchases will be cheaper. Messa looked disappointed, but I have to be strict about these things! I made sure to send an apology to the farm regarding the quantity adjustment. It's important to handle such matters properly to avoid future issues.
...I didn't think about the salespeople I struggled with in my previous life.
As for Dan, who was in charge of the cutlery, he exceeded my expectations. He found a wonderful workshop that seemed to understand my preferences. I was hoping he would find a few good options, so it's clear he's a great apprentice of Messa. If he can better control his tendency to get nervous, he will surely develop various talents.
With this, the preparations for the tea party with the next Dean Dain are solid! The porcelain we have at the princess's palace is sufficient, so we'll add the new rose cutlery, high mountain tea, and new rose-themed sweets! As for the gift Primera wants to give to Dean Dain, we'll need to think about that.
Regarding the rose oil and rose water, the head maid at the marquis's residence, who knew I wanted them, guided me to a specialty store. They were a bit expensive, but I managed to purchase some with a wonderful scent!! ...Especially the oil, which is so expensive that I plan to use it very carefully.
Another change is that Primera is considering calling the marquis "grandpa."
While he is her legal grandfather, the marquis rarely appears in social circles or at the castle, so this is actually their first face-to-face meeting. The marquis was a bit unsure about how to interact, but they seem to have warmed up to each other now.
The marquis's reluctance to act as a grandfather stems from his being single and considering the chairman and his wife of the Jenda Company. He wondered if it was right to assume the role of a grandfather, putting himself before his friends who could not be called grandparents.
To me, having two wonderful grandfathers is a good thing, but of course, everyone has different feelings about it.
Especially, given the reality that the marquis's close relationship with Primera as an in-law could invite unnecessary speculation... At the very least, I understand that the king values the marquis as an in-law. Entrusting the important prince and princess to the marquis is a great honor. Even if the marquis rarely appears in social circles, the king would certainly listen to his advice on state affairs, though the marquis is unlikely to do so unless the king makes a significant mistake.
I shared my thoughts with Primera and didn't hide the fact that the chairman of the Jenda Company is a wonderful person. Primera has never met her real grandparents and doesn't even remember her mother's face... She has only seen portraits. Of course, the king and I have told her about their personalities, but the social gap makes it difficult to bridge the gap with her grandparents.
After much consideration, Primera decided to call the marquis "grandpa" in informal settings and show respect. The marquis, though he finds it intimidating, now calls her by her name. As family, it's fine to use names, but since Primera is of higher status, she must use honorifics, even in informal settings.
The prince... Well, he seems to be enjoying his freedom, but he was most lively during the ride with Primera. Indeed, he is versatile.
From my perspective, knowing only the prince from the game, the main change is that his affection for his sister is no longer just sympathy. The prince's palace and Primera's princess palace are in the same castle but not close, so they have little interaction... But from what I hear, he is an "excellent prince" who strives to be dignified and behave like a royal. In that sense, he hasn't changed much from the game... Perhaps the biggest change is that he now sees Primera as an important sister, which will affect her fate!
He is the main character and the most beloved target in the game, as the creator describes. I didn't have a particular favorite, as I enjoy various aspects... But this game is so out there that it's hard to even think about having a favorite...
I didn't expect it to be this much, but that's my impression after playing!
My view of this world is that it closely follows the game's setting, so I believe the future is open. If it were exactly like the game, my life would be bizarre. I don't exist in the game, but I'm working hard as Primera's maid, interacting with the prince, and even have the title of head maid... But there are no bugs or retry errors.
So, I think this is not the game itself.
Honestly, I only play games, so I can't say more than that.
By the way, I accompanied the prince and Primera on their ride!
Yes, of course on a dragon... This time, I didn't get motion sickness. That day with the prince's brother was indeed unusual. The prince and Primera's cautious (or safe) riding and the knights' protection might have helped. Also, the army's dragons were calm, which was good.
Shayna wanted to run fast but obediently followed a light trot. I praised her a lot when we returned to the stables!
The wild rose field you showed us was magnificent.
It was a great memory... Primera said she wants to come back with Dean Dain. While I'm not sure about romantic feelings, her affection is steadily growing. Yes, she's so cute!
As for the rose jam, they are seriously researching and planning to commercialize it.
Hmm, if that happens, maybe I won't have to make it anymore and can buy it instead...?!
It seems the summer vacation (or whatever it is) of Primera and the protagonist is coming to an end.
