Chapter 10

Chapter 10: The Feng Shui Layout of the Chek Lap Kok Police Station, the People's Hearts are as Steady as Iron, the Law is as Stern as a Furnace!

Wang Zhong got up early, washed up, and finished his morning routine.

He practiced a set of martial arts in the courtyard, each move displaying the power of Xingyi Cannon Fist, the suppleness of Tai Chi, and the slickness of Bagua Palm. Martial arts rely on persistent and unyielding effort.

There is a saying in Hengnei: If you don't practice for a day, you know it; if you don't practice for three days, everyone knows it!

Wang Zhong's current skills are the result of over a decade of persistent and unyielding effort.

He wiped the sweat from his body, had a quick breakfast, and began his new day.

The sun was just rising, with red rays spreading across the sky.

All things in heaven and earth were brimming with vitality, and Wang Zhong found the dragon-nailing stake he had buried the night before!

Bathed in the sunlight, Wang Zhong carefully examined the location he had chosen.

A few hundred meters behind the acupoint was a small mountain range, with layers of peaks and undulating terrain. The Grand Ancestor Mountain, Lesser Ancestor Mountain, and Parent Mountain were clearly stratified. More importantly, the terrain was higher at the back and lower at the front, resembling court officials paying homage.

What a beautiful mountain, truly a treasure spot!

Wang Zhong sincerely praised.

Water can be affectionate or indifferent, and mountains are no exception!

Mountains that pay homage and protect are affectionate, while those that turn away and rebel are truly indifferent.

Even more wonderful, the mountain range behind the treasure spot resembled a nursing lion, complete with head and tail, vivid and lifelike. In front of the nursing lion was a small, round hill, resembling a silk ball!

A lion playing with a silk ball!

Wang Zhong did not hesitate to call out the shape and image of the treasure spot!

Calling out the shape and image is a very advanced feng shui technique. A feng shui master must not only have a solid foundation but also possess a certain level of abstract thinking, using the shapes of mountains and rivers to call out fitting images.

The Ten Famous Spots, such as the Old Clam Spitting Pearls, Five Horses Lying in a Row, and the Red Snake Coiling Around the Seal, all belong to the category of calling out shapes and images!

Although the Lion Playing with a Silk Ball is not as famous as the Ten Famous Spots, it is still of high quality!

More importantly, it is very suitable for use by military personnel!

After a short while, Henry and others arrived at Chek Lap Kok with professional measuring tools. They carefully measured the area around the acupoint and collected soil and water samples.

These samples would be sent to a professional research institute for data analysis. Only after proving that the soil's load-bearing capacity was suitable would Wang Zhong allow construction to begin.

"Mr. Wang, you are the most responsible feng shui master I have ever met!"

American designer Henry, fiddling with various instruments, sincerely praised with a thumbs-up.

"Guys, to be honest, I didn't have a good impression of feng shui masters before. You see, architecture is a highly specialized field, and we need to take the most rigorous approach because these buildings are related to the lives of thousands of people! But those feng shui masters are too careless, determining the site based on a mere visual inspection, which is unscientific!"

"Yes, guys, you're right. But we need to speed up! The police are urging us again; they hope to move into the new office building before the New Year!"

Wang Zhong shrugged and joked.

"Shit, those bureaucrats!"

Henry cursed lightly and threw himself into the work.

Da You, Henry, Ruo Lan, and other designers, after receiving the data, began to work busily on the drawings. Fortunately, the land was very flat, and the previous design plans only needed minor adjustments.

Even so, the group worked for a whole week.

After all, designing an office building is a very complex project, requiring consideration of aesthetics, functionality, water supply, wiring, safety, and many other aspects.

Fortunately, Wang Zhong had found a few partners in advance; if he had done it alone, it would have taken at least a month.

"Boss, Mr. Wang has completed the design drawings. When would you like to see them?"

Ren Da Rong stood respectfully in Lei Lo's office.

"So fast, I am quite looking forward to his design. Sir Edward Youde in Hong Kong asked me about this matter a few days ago. In London, Mr. Wang has been portrayed as a hero!"

Lei Lo took a thick cigar from the drawer and puffed on it hard. The red embers cast a flickering light on his face.

In the afternoon, Wang Zhong, Henry, Da You, and other designers came to Lei Lo's office as scheduled.

On one hand, this design was the result of everyone's hard work, and on the other hand, it involved specialized issues such as water and electricity, which required the chief designers to explain personally.

Lei Lo was not surprised by the arrival of Henry and others. After all, he was the biggest boss in the Hong Kong police force, aside from the British. If he wanted to, he could see through any movement in Hong Kong.

"Mr. Wang, tea or coffee?"

Lei Lo was not the stern figure rumored outside but was very kind. Henry, Ruo Lan, and others, meeting Lei Lo for the first time, breathed a sigh of relief. However, they knew that Lei Lo's kindness was directed at Wang Zhong. Lei Lo had not even asked for their names since they entered.

"I still prefer tea!"

Wang Zhong changed his sitting position to make himself more comfortable and said without hesitation.

"Very beautiful architecture!"

Looking at the drawings in the file, Lei Lo sincerely praised.

The cylindrical red building, with its external decorations, gave a sense of stability and power.

Henry and others explained the overall structure, mechanical structure, earthquake resistance, service life, and other professional issues of the building.

Lei Lo listened with a smile, neither praising nor contradicting.

For a full half hour, Inspector Lei Lo only drank two cups of coffee without interrupting.

Wang Zhong also smiled, quietly savoring the tea.

The two sat opposite each other in perfect harmony, like old friends.

"I think, Inspector, you are not interested in these details!"

Wang Zhong gestured to interrupt Henry and took out another document from his tool bag.

"This is my feng shui map of the Chek Lap Kok area!"

"I thought Mr. Wang would sit with the old man for the whole afternoon!"

Lei Lo said with a hint of pride.

"I admit defeat!"

Wang Zhong laughed.

"Hahahaha, the young are to be feared!"

Lei Lo's face rarely showed a smile.

"Fei Mo Mountain is the highest peak in Hong Kong, famous for its shape resembling a moth. This mountain is the origin of Hong Kong's dragon vein, which starts from Fei Mo Mountain, passes through Kowloon, Yau Ma Tei, Yuen Long, and Tseung Kwan O, and finally enters the sea through Chek Lap Kok, forming a pattern of a dragon entering the sea. After my feng shui examination, I finally discovered the dragon vein's acupoint at site C4. This acupoint corresponds to the Seventh Red Star, so the building is red. The entire building looks like a huge cylinder but is actually a furnace. As the saying goes, the people's hearts are as steady as iron, and the law is as stern as a furnace. This furnace can not only suppress the people's hearts in Chek Lap Kok but also make the police station flourish like a flame!"

Wang Zhong smiled and explained his entire thought process.

"Mr. Wang, are you not afraid that this big fire will turn me into ashes?"

Although Lei Lo did not understand feng shui, his experience and insight quickly grasped the key points.

"Not afraid. First, the police are inherently associated with fire, and fire only burns brighter. Second, the police's office is concentrated in the middle. The middle of the fire is hollow, while the ends are the hottest. The middle, however, is the coolest part and will not harm the police department!"

Wang Zhong had already considered this issue and did not hesitate.

"The upper part can be made into an interrogation room, where even the most vicious criminals will have to submit to the law!"

"What about the bottom?"

Lei Lo sipped his coffee and asked curiously.

"Make it a service hall, and plant many potted plants. Wood can generate fire!"

Wang Zhong took out a drawing from the file, a rough sketch of the ground floor hall, with many green plants. The entire ground floor looked more like a botanical garden than a service hall. Without a doubt, Lei Lo was very interested in Wang Zhong's proposal, but he needed to understand it thoroughly before making a decision.

"You don't need to mention the benefits. Are there any drawbacks?"

Lei Lo put down his coffee and looked at him with a determined gaze.
