**Chapter 6: The Grand Question of Feng Shui, Ming Pao's Exclusive Interview!**

"Mr. Wang, hello! Thank you for allowing us this exclusive interview!"

Zhou Ying, the ace reporter of Ming Pao, is known for her sharp instincts and incisive questions, making her highly popular among the people in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Jin Tang used his personal connections to secure this exclusive interview with Wang Zhong for Zhou Ying, and she naturally wouldn't let this opportunity pass, especially with Wang Zhong being the current topic of the hour.

"Mr. Wang, although you are young, your achievements are truly remarkable. You are a council member of the Chinese Martial Arts Association, a young talent in Hong Kong, and a master of metaphysics!"

Zhou Ying is a capable urban woman, not particularly beautiful but exuding a refreshing aura.

"All this is due to the support of everyone; I am truly unworthy of such praise!" Wang Zhong said humbly.

"Mr. Wang, your achievements in writing and martial arts are well-known to all. Our audience is very curious about how you became involved with feng shui and metaphysics."

Zhou Ying, as a top-notch reporter, always addresses the public's concerns. Now, countless people in Hong Kong and Taiwan want to understand how Wang Zhong managed to cross over into the field of metaphysics, excelling not only in writing and martial arts but also in a field that seems unrelated.

"This can be traced back to my martial arts lineage, the Wudang School, founded by the unkempt Taoist Zhang Sanfeng during the early Ming Dynasty. Zhang Sanfeng was a man of great learning, well-versed in Taoist scriptures and the principles of yin and yang, and was revered as a deity by the emperors Zhu Yuanzhang and Zhu Di. The Taoist school established by Zhang Sanfeng is also known as the Sanfeng School. As the 19th-generation descendant of the Sanfeng School, I naturally understand the principles of the River Map and the Luo Book, as well as feng shui."

Wang Zhong effortlessly attributed everything to Zhang Sanfeng, making the story sound both reasonable and mythical.

"Feng shui originated in ancient times and was perfected during the Qin and Han dynasties. The Han dynasty's Guo Pu is revered as the patriarch. It is an ancient, simple environmental science that still has significant value in modern architectural site selection. For example, the 'jade belt around the waist'—ancient people believed that building a city next to a river with a curved shape, like a belt around the waist, was considered excellent feng shui. Modern research has shown that such a river can form sediment, creating new land, which was highly valuable in ancient times. Another common example is the 'beam over the head'—a common issue in modern office environments. This is actually due to the flow of air, causing instability in the energy field."

Wang Zhong gave a few simple examples, making the concepts clear and easy to understand, which left Zhou Ying feeling as if the fog had been lifted.

"Mr. Wang, what you said is truly fascinating! I had some misconceptions about feng shui in the past!"

"My purpose in this interview is to reveal the true nature of feng shui. It is not mysterious; it is a simple and practical science of architecture."

Wang Zhong took a sip of tea and smiled.

"Mr. Wang, as I understand, there are many schools of feng shui, each with its own unique approach. Could you give us a brief introduction?"

Zhou Ying opened her notebook, picked up her pen, and asked earnestly.

"Throughout history, feng shui has been divided into two major schools: the Form School, which focuses on the physical landscape, and the Compass School, which emphasizes the flow of energy. The Form School's most significant work is 'Zouma Yinyang,' while the Compass School is represented by Master Shen's 'Shen's Xuan Kong.' These two schools have been in contention over the issue of orthodoxy, but I believe that only by combining the best of both can one truly become a master of feng shui."

"Mr. Wang must be proficient in both schools!" Zhou Ying said with a smile.

"Your praise is too much. I have been fortunate to receive guidance from masters of both schools and hope that they can put aside their differences and work together." Wang Zhong said humbly. He truly believed that without the principles of the landscape, it is difficult to determine auspicious and inauspicious outcomes, and without the principles of energy, it is all just empty talk.

"Many masters keep 'Zouma Yinyang' secret, but it is well-known in Hong Kong. Could you tell us what makes 'Shen's Xuan Kong' so special?"

Zhou Ying's interest was piqued, and she asked with a smile.

"Xuan Kong Fei Xing has always been a closely guarded secret in the feng shui world. It is also known as 'Jin Suo Yu Xia,' stored in a jade box and locked with a golden lock. Its value is evident. Due to its mystical nature, emperors throughout history have feared that someone might use this book to bury a true dragon, so they decreed it a banned book. Anyone who read it would be killed, one by one, a thousand by a thousand. Each appearance of 'Xuan Kong Fei Xing' has led to endless bloodshed. Therefore, it has always been passed down secretly, from father to son, from son to grandson."

"Wow, so mysterious?"

Zhou Ying asked, a bit incredulous.

"Yes, that's why 'Xuan Kong Fei Xing' is also known as the 'Imperial Science,' as it is not accessible to ordinary people." Wang Zhong said seriously.

"Who was Master Shen Zhu?"

Zhou Ying asked curiously.

"Shen Qizhu was a scholar in the Qing Dynasty who was passionate about feng shui and geography. He improved 'Xuan Kong Fei Xing' and developed the flying star theory, making him a remarkable person!"

Wang Zhong said with a smile, as if he could see a white-haired scholar with a queue, diligently studying feng shui texts under the dim light of an oil lamp.

"I hope to make 'Shen's Xuan Kong' available to the public one day, so that all descendants of the Chinese nation can have the opportunity to read it!"

Wang Zhong seemed to have a deeper understanding of Master Shen Qizhu's realm, a selfless dedication to the transmission of knowledge.

"Really? That would be a great blessing for the people of Hong Kong! Do you have any requirements for those who will learn it?"

Zhou Ying said excitedly, imagining how疯狂 the news would make Hong Kong and Taiwan.

"Any descendant of the Chinese nation with a good character and not a bad person can be taught!"

Wang Zhong thought for a moment and said.

"What about friends from abroad? Knowledge has no boundaries!"

Zhou Ying deliberately guided, wanting to create a buzz.

"Knowledge has no boundaries, but scholars do. I am Chinese, so I want to give the opportunity to my fellow Chinese. Of course, I do not rule out the possibility of promoting Chinese culture to the world in the future. What is national is also global!"

Wang Zhong did not fall for Zhou Ying's trick, as he did not want to invite criticism from foreign media.

"If a foreign friend asks you to perform feng shui, would you agree?"

Zhou Ying was still not giving up, trying to dig deeper.

"Of course! Providing high-quality services to people worldwide and helping them understand and accept traditional culture has always been my wish!"

Wang Zhong said with a smile.

"Mr. Wang, you come from a family with a deep tradition, being a descendant of the living god Zhang Sanfeng. At a young age, you have mastered the teachings of both schools. Do you also know the art of prediction, and which lineage does it come from?"

Zhou Ying asked, returning the favor.

"I studied the 'Plum Blossom Numerology' by Mr. Shao Kangjie, a method of prediction that simplifies complex principles and points directly to the essence."

Wang Zhong said proudly.

"Plum Blossom Numerology? Mr. Shao Kangjie's works do not include 'Plum Blossom Numerology,' so many masters say it is a forgery."

Zhou Ying asked, a bit uncertain.

"Many feng shui masters in Hong Kong and Taiwan refer to 'Plum Blossom Numerology' as 'Piao Piao Yi' because it is highly variable and difficult to master. On the other hand, some deny its scientific validity, believing it has many variables. But I can only say that it is because you do not understand 'Plum Blossom Numerology'!"

Wang Zhong's expression turned serious as he defended the method.

"The I Ching is a treasure of our Chinese civilization, originating in the era of Fuxi. Fuxi received the River Map, and Dayu received the Luo Book. After the summarization and development by sages like King Wen of Zhou and Confucius, it eventually became the 'I Ching' we know today. The true development of the River Map and Luo Book was achieved by the immortal Chen Tuan, also known as Master Xiyi, a famous living god in the Song Dynasty who once gambled with Emperor Taizu of Song for Mount Hua. Therefore, Mount Hua has never paid taxes. Master Xiyi created the 'Purple Star Astrology' based on the River Map and Luo Book, which is very popular in Hong Kong and Taiwan for its unique approach to destiny. In the Song Dynasty, the great scholar Shao Kangjie further innovated on Master Xiyi's work, creating the groundbreaking 'Huang Ji Jing Shi Lu,' which can connect the past and the future. However, 'Huang Ji Jing Shi Lu' is difficult to understand, and few people after Master Shao could comprehend it. During the Ming Dynasty, Yang Xiangchun simplified it into 'Huang Ji Jing Shi Xin Yi,' which is the mother text of 'Plum Blossom Numerology.' Therefore, 'Plum Blossom Numerology' was written during the Ming Dynasty, not by Shao Kangjie in the Song Dynasty. However, calling it a forgery is inappropriate, as its main ideas come from 'Huang Ji Jing Shi Lu,' and it follows the academic lineage of the Shao family. By incorporating external factors such as movement and stillness, it can often be more precise."

"What is the 'external response' in feng shui?"

Zhou Ying敏锐地捕捉到了新闻点.

"External response has always been a closely guarded secret among various schools. By correlating external responses with the hexagrams, the accuracy can be significantly improved. In 'Plum Blossom Numerology,' there are many records of this. For example, when Mr. Shao heard the call of a yellow oriole in Bianliang, he knew that a southerner would become prime minister. The next year, Wang Anshi from the south indeed became prime minister. This is an example of external response, as Bianliang has never had yellow orioles, but now they do because of the south's influence."

Wang Zhong said with a smile.

"Truly amazing, Mr. Wang, you are very knowledgeable, and your stories are fascinating!"

Zhou Ying was captivated by Wang Zhong's stories and couldn't help but praise him.
