"Hey, wait, what's this? What is this? Wait, wait, a gun is dangerous! It's dangerous, I tell you! No, no, why am I being pointed at with a gun!? Who are you!?"

Suddenly, being surrounded by police officers was shocking enough, but being pointed at with a gun was enough to make anyone panic.

Without thinking, I almost used magic, but I held back.

I hadn't done anything wrong, so I couldn't understand why a gun was being pointed at me.

In peaceful Japan, it was incomprehensible why an innocent middle school student would be surrounded by guns.

"Shut up! Raise your hands!"

"O-Okay. Actually, are you really police officers!? Show me your badges! You know, like in dramas where the FBI shows their badges!"

"We're not the FBI!"

"I know that! I mean, before you threaten me, show me your credentials! And why am I in this situation!?"

I couldn't help but feel angry, and when I shouted, the police officers seemed to flinch.

"---Huh?"

Natsuki felt a sense of unease.

He couldn't understand why the adults pointing guns at him were the ones who seemed scared.

"Hey, are you really police officers?"

"Don't move! We know you're a psychic! Even without psychic powers, don't think you can get away unscathed with a gun!"

"---What?"

At the words of the police officer in a suit, Natsuki couldn't believe his ears.

(Hold on, what? What did he say? Psychic? Like a wizard or something? But no one saw me use magic. So why a psychic?)

Natsuki tilted his head, considering a hypothesis.

"Could it be that there are psychics in this world!?"

"What are you talking about! You must be one too! You look young, but you're a rogue psychic!"

"No, I mean, it's a misunderstanding—"

"Normally, we would explain the situation and make you aware of your existence and power, but you're different!"

"Why!?"

"Don't kid around! After using that much power, what are you talking about!"

(Damn, even if no one saw me, was I being detected somewhere?)

He inwardly cursed.

When he was called a psychic, the first thing that came to mind was characters from light novels and manga. But it was surprising that the police knew about it.

Even if there were psychics, he had assumed they would operate in secret, hidden even from the police.

(I was seen, but if I break through, there might be video evidence. So, should I just knock everyone out and destroy all the electronic devices?)

As he was thinking about this violent plan, a middle-aged man in a uniform, accompanied by a woman in her early twenties, appeared from behind the police officers in suits and uniforms.

"It seems you're having trouble."

The man, though not holding a gun, had one on his belt. The woman, on the other hand, was the only one who seemed out of place, holding a sword in her left hand.

(Huh? This person?)

"Chief!"

"---Huh?"

Natsuki recognized the man called Chief.

It had been six years since he last saw him, but he looked the same as he remembered.

A tall, well-built man with a shaved head streaked with white.

---There was no doubt it was his mother's friend, a good uncle to Natsuki.

"Uncle Aoyama!?"

"Huh? ---What, seriously! The rogue psychic is Natsuki!?"

Just as he had returned from another world, he had a feeling that his acquaintance would be exposed.
