"Damn..." Li Huailin couldn't help but feel like he was about to vomit blood. Who said he was short on money? He just wanted to die, but now so many people were donating to him. As soon as he opened the door, he heard a soft scream.

Li Huailin looked and saw his neighbor, Chen Juan. She was wearing a red off-shoulder evening gown and a red sheer shawl, her already alluring face now looking even more noble and cold.

It seemed Chen Juan had just returned home and was walking to her door when Li Huailin suddenly opened his door, startling her.

"Little handsome, you scared me to death," Chen Juan said, patting her half-exposed chest, pretending to be frightened.

"Scare someone to death just by opening a door? I'd be in jail long ago," Li Huailin laughed. "Sister Juan, you're back early today."

"Why can't I come back early?" Chen Juan rolled her eyes. "I had bad luck yesterday and didn't catch any men. Do you think men these days are all blind? I'm so beautiful, and no one asked me out."

After saying that, Chen Juan sized up Li Huailin and struck a seductive pose. "Little handsome, do you think I'm beautiful?"

"Extremely beautiful. Look, my drool is on the floor. Where's the mop? Where's the mop?" Li Huailin immediately replied.

"Since I'm so beautiful and didn't find a man yesterday, I feel empty, lonely, and cold. Shouldn't you do something about it?" Chen Juan said as she moved closer.

"Hehe." Li Huailin laughed and was about to close the door and leave.

"Wait..." Chen Juan suddenly stopped him.

"Hmm?" Li Huailin turned back. "What is it?"

"Thanks for that time when I was drunk." Chen Juan smiled and added, "You're a good man."

"I guess I have some confidence then." Li Huailin waved and said, "Get some sleep. I'm going out."

"Tch, you're getting too cocky." Chen Juan spat and went back into her room.

The city's morning was quiet and peaceful. Even though it was summer, there was a slight coolness in the air. At 7, most young people were still resting, and most children were still asleep because of the late nights. Only a few elderly people were out for their morning exercises.

Li Huailin jogged along the QT River near his home. Although it was a slow jog, each breath he took had its own unique rhythm. This was a very peculiar breathing mechanism. It was extremely difficult for a normal person to change their breathing habits. Li Huailin had practiced this breathing technique for 7 years to get it right, and now it was a natural habit.

After jogging to the riverside park, Li Huailin took a short break to adjust his breathing. Then he walked to the parallel bars and started doing pull-ups. He had been playing the game a lot recently, and his body felt a bit rusty. He decided to do more exercises today.

After about an hour of exercise, Li Huailin felt a bit tired. He jogged back to his building, had some breakfast at the entrance, went upstairs, took a shower, and then got back into the game pod.

"Ah, Brother-in-law!" Red Face Drinking Water suddenly exclaimed, "Something's wrong!"

"What?" Li Huailin was taken aback. "What's wrong?"

"Sister is in danger!" Red Face Drinking Water shouted urgently.

"In danger?" Li Huailin was stunned. What did her danger have to do with him? They weren't even friends, let alone anything more. But he couldn't say that, so he asked, "What happened?"

"A group of people from a big guild surrounded Sister. They said their guild leader wants her to be his girlfriend. Brother-in-law, this is a slap in your face. You have to go and save the day, beat them all up!" Red Face Drinking Water said, pulling Li Huailin along.

"Let's go!" Li Huailin said with a burst of confidence.
