Chapter 52

"Geerjin will punish you!" Seeing Li Huailin jump down, the big boss, Fire Elemental Chadmans, roared and then entered the boss battle.

"Hey, hey, you're a boss, aren't you embarrassed to steal the lines of the minions?" Li Huailin couldn't help but say. How could this guy have the same lines as the minions? The only difference was that the minions said it before dying, while Fire Elemental Chadmans said it at the beginning.

After Fire Elemental Chadmans and his two minions entered the boss battle, they didn't rush over but started casting fireballs on the spot.

"What a spectacle, you guys must be part of the Fireball Cult." Li Huailin was a bit depressed. This boss was also casting fireballs, which was a problem. Mainly, he only had about 600 HP left. The two minions hit him for about 70 points each, totaling 140. If the boss was equivalent to two minions, that would be another 140. So, with two rounds of attacks, he would be down.

The situation was urgent, so Li Huailin immediately rushed forward and swept across the middle, hitting Fire Elemental Chadmans and the two minions on the side.

-521, -560, -1130 (Critical Hit)

Wearing a few pieces of strength-boosting equipment, Li Huailin's attacks were enhanced. Seeing a critical hit on one of the minions, he quickly followed up with a finishing blow, immediately taking down the minion. Due to the close positioning, the minion didn't even get a chance to cast a fireball.

However, as Li Huailin's attack ended, the boss and the other minion's fireballs hit him.

-69 (Minion's attack)

-211 (Fire Elemental Chadmans' attack)

"Damn, this guy's attack is too high. I'm still wearing 70 points of fire resistance and over 60 points of magic defense, yet he still dealt 211 damage. How can normal people get through this?" Li Huailin couldn't help but say.

Underestimating the boss's attack, even though Li Huailin quickly took down one minion, he found himself down to half HP. If this continued, he would be in trouble.

Looking up at the boss's HP bar, he saw that his 500+ damage only reduced the boss's HP by less than 2%. The boss had a lot of HP, and it seemed he might not be able to defeat him.

The two fire elementals didn't care about Li Huailin's thoughts. After casting a round of fireballs, they immediately started casting again. Seeing the two monsters start attacking, Li Huailin quickly regained his senses and rushed toward the remaining minion.

-534

Unfortunately, it wasn't a critical hit, but Li Huailin's attack did interrupt the minion's casting, allowing him to attack again.

Heavy Slash, -558

Li Huailin was already a bit anxious. Although his level 1 Heavy Slash only added 5 points of attack, he still used it.

The Fire Elemental Guard shouted, "Geerjin will punish you!" and then fell. However, the unobstructed Fire Elemental Chadmans' fireball had already flown toward Li Huailin.

-209

Li Huailin quickly checked his HP bar. He had already lost nearly 500 HP, but with the healing effect from Burning, he regained about 30 HP, leaving him with 178 HP.

"I can't take another hit." Li Huailin looked at Fire Elemental Chadmans, who was starting to cast another fireball. "No, no, I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die."

"Can I dodge these fireballs? Is there anywhere nearby to hide?" Looking at the almost formed fireball, Li Huailin looked around frantically.

"Damn, how clean is this place? Not even a rock to block the view. I..." Li Huailin was about to complain when he suddenly noticed the circle of lava surrounding the area.

"I... I'm an idiot!" Li Huailin slapped his face and immediately ran toward the lava at the edge of the platform.

Fire Elemental Chadmans completed his fireball and launched a much larger fireball toward Li Huailin's back. At the critical moment, Li Huailin slid into the lava like a baseball player sliding into a base, and the fireball hit his back.

+850, -412 (Critical Hit)

"Damn, you even crit me. Luckily, I'm smart." Li Huailin said, standing in the lava, still shaken.

However, the healing effect from the lava seemed a bit less. Checking his buff bar, Li Huailin found that his fire resistance also reduced the damage from the lava.

Lava Burn: Increases HP by 850 points per second. (Resistance reduction)

Seeing Li Huailin jump into the lava, Fire Elemental Chadmans didn't chase him but continued to cast fireballs. However, Li Huailin wasn't afraid anymore. The boss took 2 seconds to cast a fireball, while he regained 850 HP per second, so he had nothing to fear.

"Thud," a fireball hit Li Huailin. He wiped it off with his left hand as if wiping a table. "Come on, hit me harder, don't be stingy with this delicate flower."

"Thud," another fireball hit Li Huailin's face.

"Come on, if you have the guts, hit me head-on." Li Huailin continued to taunt.

"Thud," another fireball.

"What else do you have? If that's all, it's my turn." Seeing his HP was full, Li Huailin climbed out of the lava and rushed toward Fire Elemental Chadmans.

-533, -1012 (Critical Hit)...

A flurry of attacks, Li Huailin slashed the boss over a dozen times, reducing Fire Elemental Chadmans' HP by 23%. During this time, the boss also relentlessly cast fireballs at Li Huailin. Although the fireballs provided healing, Li Huailin found his HP was almost depleted again.

"Wait, I'll be right back." Leaving 500+ HP to prevent a critical hit from taking him down, Li Huailin ran back to the lava.

Jumping into the lava to refill his HP, Li Huailin ran back to the middle of the platform to attack the boss. After two cycles, Fire Elemental Chadmans' HP dropped to 50%.

"Let me show you the power of the Elemental Legion!" Fire Elemental Chadmans suddenly roared and raised his hands.

With the boss's roar, Li Huailin suddenly felt the ground shake. The platform beneath him disintegrated into eight differently shaped pieces, scattering in all directions. At the same time, the surrounding lava became active, and lava pillars began to spout, reducing the already small area of the eight pieces of the platform and posing a risk of being pushed into the lava.

"Now, I don't even need to run back and forth." Li Huailin saw that only a small piece of the platform was left for melee classes to stand on, and he had to jump to another piece to avoid the lava. However, for Li Huailin, it was much more convenient. He could stand in the lava and attack the boss directly.

This made Li Huailin's attacks faster. A few quick slashes reduced the boss's HP by 25%. When the boss was down to 25% HP, he changed his attack pattern.

"Power of Fire!" Fire Elemental Chadmans roared, and a ring of fire formed around him, expanding outward.

-237

This might put some pressure on a team, but for Li Huailin, the damage didn't change much. The boss's attack changed from single-target to full-screen, but the attack interval increased from 2 seconds to 3 seconds, making it less stressful for Li Huailin.

Li Huailin also noticed that some rocks had risen from the ground, which could be used to dodge the full-screen fire ring, but it didn't matter to him. He continued to stand in the lava and attack.

"Sorry... Prince Geerjin... I... failed..." As the boss's HP reached zero, Fire Elemental Chadmans raised his hands, his body trembling as he painfully said these words. His body then began to glow red.

As the boss's glow intensified, the entire circular cave began to shake, and the lava Li Huailin was standing in started to surge, with rocks and sand falling, as if an earthquake had occurred.

"Is it going to collapse?" Li Huailin felt something was wrong.

With a loud "Boom," a corner of the cave collapsed, revealing a dark, seemingly accessible tunnel. As the tunnel appeared, Fire Elemental Chadmans turned into red light and disappeared into the air, and the cave's shaking stopped.

"Geerjin Elemental Legion? Sareen Elemental Legion?" These were two terms Li Huailin had never heard before, and his favorability with both was negative, not even neutral.

"Whatever, I don't even know what they are. I'll search the forums later to see if there are any similar posts. For now, let's see if the boss dropped any land deeds." Li Huailin thought to himself.
