Chapter 85

"What is this?" Hongchen Yan Yu asked curiously.

"I don't know, I've never seen it before." Hong Yue also found it strange. "It seems to be a quest item. Has anyone on our side taken a similar quest?"

"Uh..." Li Huailin was taken aback. Could this thing be related to Yaze? Could this guy have come here from the beginning to recover this item? And just happened to meet me, so it wasn't recovered?

"Huailin? Do you know?" Hong Yue looked at Li Huailin's expression and asked.

"Ah... how to say, I'm not quite sure if this thing is related to me." Li Huailin said uncertainly.

"Then I'll give it to you." Hong Yue directly gave the item to Li Huailin.

System notification: You have obtained the item "Unspent Black Core."

System notification: You have received the main quest, Threat of the Dark Forces - 1. You found an unspent black core on Didi Xite's body, but you don't know what it's for. However, it's said that the church in the City of Divine Protection has people who study such things. You can go there to find out. Quest reward: 3000 experience, 1 gold coin, 300 reputation points.

"Damn, I didn't say I wanted it." Li Huailin was caught off guard and received another main quest.

"Don't be so polite. You don't need much equipment, and after fighting for so long, you should take something." Hong Yue thought Li Huailin was just being polite, but Li Huailin really didn't want it.

"Damn, this thing is soul-bound." Li Huailin checked his inventory and found that the item was soul-bound, meaning it couldn't be thrown away, sold, or traded, and wouldn't drop even if he died. This would just occupy one of his item slots for no reason.

"What the hell, why does this main quest keep following me?" Li Huailin rubbed his forehead. "If I don't do this quest, won't I permanently occupy one item slot? Although the impact should be small, it's really annoying to look at."

"But speaking of the church, I seem to remember something..." Li Huailin suddenly looked at the Guardian of the Divine Sword emblem on his chest. The old man who gave it to him seemed to mention something about the church.

"Whatever, I might as well turn in this quest. It's just a deduction of 3000 experience and 1 gold coin, which I can afford right now." After some thought, Li Huailin decided to go to the church to check the situation. Since the first step of the quest only deducts a small amount of experience and money, he might as well spend some money to unlock the item slot.

The pet egg quest is the day after tomorrow, and Li Huailin's all-attribute bonus buff will also end the day after tomorrow. Now that Li Huailin has one more day of downtime, he might as well go to the church to check the situation.

"Whatever, I'll take it. I can't throw it away anyway. Let's see what else there is." Li Huailin waved his hand and said.

Hong Yue nodded and continued to loot the body. This time it was normal, a golden light flashed, and a piece of gold equipment was looted.

Dragonman Energy Amulet (Gold): Accessory, Intelligence +8, Spirit +3, Equipment: Increase spell damage by 14 points. Use: Increase spell damage by 100 points for 20 seconds. Required level 20, Classes: Mage, Warlock, Druid, Priest.

"It's an accessory, a rare piece of equipment." Hong Yue said, "Spell damage equipment, it seems only Yan Yu can use it."

"Why is it always something for my sister..." Hong Yan Yin Shui said that so far she had only obtained a blue item, and all the gold equipment had nothing to do with a priest.

"Even if it were priest equipment, it wouldn't necessarily be for you. Cui Wu hasn't gotten anything yet." Hong Chen Yan Yu scolded.

"Ah, that's true." Hong Yan Yin Shui thought about the even more unfortunate Hong Fei Cui Wu. "Then, Yue Yue, can you loot another piece of priest equipment for Cui Wu?"

"You can't just say it and it will appear." Hong Yue smiled. So far, the equipment that has been looted can be used by everyone, and if it were something specific to a Druid, it would be a problem.

In "Heart of Glory," humans cannot choose the Druid class, only elves can. The frustrating part is that humans can also obtain Druid-specific equipment, which is completely useless and can only be stored in the warehouse.

"I think the next one will definitely be priest equipment." Hong Yan Yin Shui said, "What do you think, Brother-in-law?"

"How would I know?" Li Huailin was puzzled as to why the topic had shifted to him, feeling like he was hit by a stray bullet.

"Let me try." Hong Yue gave the Dragonman Energy Amulet to Hong Chen Yan Yu and continued to loot the body.

Nightfall Coat (Silver): Leather armor, chest, Physical defense 15-20, Magic defense 15-15, Agility +22, Constitution +10. Required level 20, Classes: Rogue, Hunter, Druid.

"Indeed, luck isn't that good, getting exactly what you want." Hong Yue shrugged. "We don't have anyone who wears leather armor, so this thing is a bit of a waste."

"Ah? Then Cui Wu is really pitiful, fighting for so long without getting any equipment. How about I give you my gloves? I already got a gold staff from the last dungeon." Hong Yan Yin Shui said apologetically.

"Uh, no need, no need. If the dungeon doesn't drop the equipment I need, there's nothing I can do. Besides, I just leveled up two levels in just two hours, so I feel like I've gained a lot." Hong Fei Cui Wu immediately said. She was originally level 15, and after clearing the Abyss dungeon, she gained experience from both the minions and the boss, as well as the A-level evaluation experience and the system announcement reward, which brought her directly to level 17. Of course, everyone else, including Li Huailin, had already reached level 18.

"So, if I had known, I would have given this strange black core to Cui Wu." Li Huailin interjected. "Fighting for over two hours without getting any equipment is really frustrating."

"Really, no need..." Hong Fei Cui Wu waved her hand, not really caring.

"Wait... there's still something..." Hong Yue, who was looting the body, suddenly said.

"Ah? Still? Isn't it that one boss drops two pieces of equipment?" Li Huailin turned his head and asked.

"There's also the world drop. It might just be determined to drop on this boss. Let me see what it is..." Hong Yue said and looted the item, and a bloody dragon head appeared in the loot window.

Half-Dragon Didi Xite's Head (Abyss): This is proof that you have defeated Didi Xite in the Abyss dungeon. Hand it over to Duke Dewarion at the Borrenor Forward Base to receive a reward. Picking it up will trigger a quest.

"Here we go again." Li Huailin wiped his face. "Quickly give this thing to Cui Wu."

"I don't want this thing, it's so disgusting." Hong Fei Cui Wu really couldn't stand the bloody thing.

"Although we don't know what the reward is, it's probably something good. I think you should take it. You can turn in the quest as soon as you leave the dungeon." Hong Yue also said.

"But... but..." Hong Fei Cui Wu really didn't know what to do with such a thing.

"It's just in your inventory, you don't have to carry it. That's it." Hong Yue directly gave the head to Hong Fei Cui Wu.

"It's... still a bit disgusting..." Hong Fei Cui Wu looked at the icon in her inventory and still couldn't stand it. "I'll go turn in the head quickly. We should probably解散 now, right?"

"Yes, that's right. I'll log off to buy groceries." Hong Yue nodded and said.

"I'll log off too, I'm tired today." Hong Chen Yan Yu said.

"What about Brother-in-law?" Hong Yan Yin Shui was quite excited. If Li Huailin said he wasn't logging off, she definitely wouldn't log off either.

"I'll log off too, I have something to do." Li Huailin casually made up an excuse.

"Oh..." Hong Yan Yin Shui nodded disappointedly.

"Alright, today's team activity was very successful. Everyone worked hard. The guild's earnings from this activity will be recorded for everyone. So, let's解散 now." Hong Yue clapped her hands and said.
