The convoy smoothly left the city, followed by a long journey. Just as Jared had said, the roads in the Udesa province were indeed very bumpy. It seemed that due to frequent snowfall, the roads were poorly maintained, with potholes everywhere. The speed of the carriage was not fast, and it often jolted violently.

The scenery outside the carriage window was even more boring, with nothing but snow as far as the eye could see. Even seeing a few withered trees felt surprisingly refreshing. Li Huailin was initially amazed by the silver-clad landscape, but now he was starting to get tired of it.

There was nothing to do inside the carriage. Jared had chatted with Li Huailin for a while when they first got in, but now he was reading the caravan's ledger. Li Huailin couldn't bear it after ten minutes.

"This is a waste of life. How did the system come up with such a boring setup for a carriage ride?" Li Huailin held his forehead.

Just as he was feeling bored, a notification for a remote call came in. Li Huailin checked the panel and saw that the caller was Red Moon. He hadn't noticed when she came online.

"Hey, Red Moon." Li Huailin was very eager to chat with someone, and he was glad Red Moon called.

"You sound pretty good. Didn't Night Sailing say you were exiled to a distant northern region by an NPC?" Red Moon said with a laugh.

"Damn, it's not just a distant northern region; it's practically Siberia. I haven't met a single player yet, and I can't even use a return scroll or commit suicide to get back." Li Huailin said.

"Ha ha ha..." Red Moon couldn't help but laugh.

"Can you stop gloating? I'm already at my wits' end." Li Huailin held his forehead.

"Sorry... but... it's really funny..." Red Moon tried to suppress her laughter, "So, you can't come back for now?"

"Not exactly. I met a kind NPC on the way who, after I beat him up, introduced me to a caravan heading back to the main city. I'm on the caravan's carriage now, and I should be back soon." Li Huailin said.

"Oh, that's good. You have good luck." Red Moon nodded, "The fire resistance gear has been sold, and I've received the 15 potions from the Spirit Realm. They're temporarily with someone else in our guild because my bank is full. You can ask me for them when you get back."

"How did the talks with Night Sailing go?" Li Huailin asked casually.

"It's the first time we've interacted with such a large guild like the Spirit Realm. Fortunately, Night Sailing is a pretty friendly person. Now, our Red Women's Army is an allied guild with the Spirit Realm. I never thought it would happen." Red Moon smiled, "But most of the credit goes to you."

"We've formed an alliance." Li Huailin nodded, "But we can't really help the Spirit Realm much. We're just tagging along."

"I thought you couldn't come back, so I formed a team with Blood Seal and others to level up. What are your plans? Want to join us for a dungeon run later?" Red Moon asked.

"I was planning to farm the Abyss in the Viper Cave. If you want to join, you're welcome to come along." Li Huailin knew that farming the Abyss alone would yield a lot of experience, but with a group, the total experience would increase, though it would be divided among the members. He wanted to minimize the experience loss, especially since he was only farming for skill books. If he got a skill book he couldn't use, he could just give it to them.

"Oh? I was wondering why you didn't farm the Viper Cave hundreds of times. I thought you didn't want to, but since you didn't mention it, I didn't either. Now that you want to farm, we'll definitely join you. Just the S-rank completion bonus of 3000 experience each time is a huge boost." Red Moon said, "You could even form a farming team. With at least 5000 experience per run, including the boss, you could charge for leading the group and auction off the loot."

"If I did that, I'd probably end up back at the newbie village." Li Huailin didn't say it out loud, but he was frustrated. If it weren't for his character's bug, he could have made a fortune, but the bug also prevented him from farming the Abyss. It was a dilemma.

"No, I don't care about money." Li Huailin said with a righteous tone.

"Cough, cough..." Red Moon coughed, indicating she couldn't take it anymore, "When are you coming back? I think Yan and Shui are about to log in."

"Huh?" Li Huailin realized he didn't know how long the carriage ride would take. He had been so excited about going back that he forgot to ask, "Wait, let me check."

Fortunately, Jared was nearby. Li Huailin turned and asked, "Leader, how long until we reach the City of Divine Blessing?"

"Oh?" Jared was focused on the ledger and was interrupted by Li Huailin, but he didn't get angry. He pulled back the curtain and looked outside, still seeing a white expanse.

"We're still in the Udesa province. It's still early. It will take two more days." Jared smiled and answered.

"Oh, I see." Li Huailin nodded and replied in the remote call, "Red Moon, it will take two more days."

Just as he said that, Li Huailin felt something was off. Two days?

"Damn, how long did you say? How long?" Li Huailin quickly grabbed Jared.

"Two... two days." Jared was startled by Li Huailin but repeated the answer.

"Two days? You mean this carriage ride will take two days to reach the City of Divine Blessing?" Li Huailin was almost speechless, "Are you sure you mean two days, the same as in real life? 48 hours? 2880 minutes?"

"Yes, it's about two days." Jared was confused; it really took two days to get to the main city, and the carriage was relatively fast. Walking would take at least five days.

"I... I..." Li Huailin was speechless. What kind of joke was this? Spending two days in a carriage for a game? This was ridiculous, especially since it was so boring.

"Li Huailin, you have to sit in a carriage for two days to get back?" Red Moon was also confused, "I feel sorry for you."

"Who would sit in a carriage for two days? This game is so frustrating. Can't they design it like a single-player game with quick travel? Making players sit in a carriage for two days is just cruel." Li Huailin held his forehead.

"But the system has a teleportation function, it's just not available yet." Red Moon smiled, "So, you'll be back in two days?"

"I'd rather level up to 30 before coming back. I won't sit in a carriage for two days. The pet egg quest is a bit troublesome, but I don't have any other urgent matters. What do you think?" Li Huailin said.

"Leveling up to 30 is quite difficult." Red Moon said, "From what I know, the highest level players are just over 20. After level 20, the experience required for each level increases significantly, making it very hard to level up quickly."

"I have a plan, don't worry." Li Huailin had 280% attributes for one more day, and after that, he could farm experience from the invisible level leopards. He wasn't too worried about leveling up.

"Alright, it looks like you won't be back soon. We'll level up for now." Although Li Huailin sounded confident, Red Moon was still worried, "I'll hang up now."

"Okay." Li Huailin ended the remote call and looked at Jared, who was still reading the ledger.

"Leader, we need to have a serious talk." Li Huailin said with an innocent smile.

"What's wrong, hero?" Jared looked up and asked.

"I've been screwed over by NPCs so much lately that I'm furious. Now you come along and add to it. Should I teach you a lesson?" Li Huailin said with a smile.

"Huh?" Jared was confused, "What's wrong, hero? Are you dissatisfied with something?"

"Of course, everything." Li Huailin grabbed Jared's collar, "Why didn't you tell me earlier that the carriage ride would take so long? Why didn't you send a plane? What kind of carriage ride is this? Do you deserve a beating?"

"Uh? What?" Jared was completely lost, looking bewildered.

"What about you..." Li Huailin was about to say more when a voice came from the carriage door.

"Leader, something's wrong!" A person opened Jared's carriage door and said. When the door opened, they saw Li Huailin holding Jared and were taken aback.

"What is it?" Jared asked normally, showing no sign of being held.

"Bandits!" The person reported.

"What?" Jared and Li Huailin said simultaneously.
