...

...

Following that, there was a long list of notifications about increases and decreases in favorability from various characters. Li Huailin never expected that killing one person would trigger so many notifications. Most of the people mentioned were unknown to him, with only a few he recognized: Gast, the teleporter in Yorkmoke City, and Egert, the young man who had wanted to stab but couldn't. The rest of the names were likely Jared's friends or enemies.

However, Li Huailin didn't want to think about these things now because he was feeling very down. He couldn't quite explain why, but after seeing Gilbert shed tears, Li Huailin felt something bottled up inside him, not knowing how to release it.

"Oh, you want to join us, that's great." Gilbert seemed very happy, completely ignoring the fact that Li Huailin had killed Jared. "I was just thinking about inviting you to join us. This is wonderful."

After saying that, Gilbert stood up and formally said, "My name is Gilbert, and I am the leader of the Senal Thieves' Guild. From now on, you are one of us."

"I am Golem, the deputy leader of the Senal Thieves' Guild. As you can see, I am a minotaur. Like the leader, from now on, you are my brother," Golem said from the side.

"My name is Huailin, and you can call me Huailin. From now on, you are my brother," Li Huailin thought for a moment and said.

System notification: You have joined the Senal Thieves' Guild.

System notification: Due to joining the thieves' guild, your reputation in all human cities has increased by 10 points.

System notification: Due to joining the thieves' guild, your reputation in all elven cities has increased by 10 points.

System notification: Due to joining the thieves' guild, your reputation in all beastfolk cities has increased by 10 points.

System notification: Due to joining the thieves' guild, the favorability of all thief-type NPCs towards you has decreased by 10 points.

System notification: Due to joining the thieves' guild, your evil deeds have decreased by 10 points.

"Welcome to the guild, my brother." Gilbert patted Li Huailin on the shoulder. "By the way, our guild is currently short of a deputy leader. Since you have done so much for us, why don't you become our deputy leader?"

"Sure, I agree," Golem immediately said from the side.

"Everyone, let's vote. Should Huailin be our deputy leader?" Gilbert immediately raised his blood-stained sword and shouted to the other members.

"Sure!" "I agree!" "Support the leader's decision!" ...

Since Li Huailin already had 30 favorability points in the guild, and with the leader's recommendation, no one disagreed. Everyone supported Gilbert's decision.

"Alright, no problem," Li Huailin nodded and said.

"Great! Hahaha." Hearing Li Huailin's agreement, Gilbert laughed heartily. "Alright, brothers, to celebrate Huailin joining us and becoming our deputy leader, and for our big haul today, we will have a feast tonight!"

"Oh oh oh oh!" The thieves raised their weapons and shouted.

"Alright! Prepare to return!" Gilbert said, then looked at the seven captives who were still in shock. "What have you decided? We are going back, and we don't have time to wait. Although this guy is dead, I'm in a good mood today. If each of you stabs him once, I'll consider it as your oath of allegiance."

Originally, the captives were hesitant to do it, but since Jared was already dead, their resistance was slightly reduced. After a brief hesitation, each of them stabbed Jared's body, officially joining the guild.

"Come, Huailin, let's go to the feast," Gilbert said to Li Huailin.

Li Huailin turned to look at Marven's body, which no one was paying attention to anymore, and then followed Gilbert forward.

The Senal Thieves' Guild originally came on horseback, and now they had also taken about thirty horses from the caravan (including the ones pulling the carts). There were more than enough horses for everyone, and Li Huailin, as a deputy leader, naturally got one. This horse was not a pet and couldn't be stored in the pet space, but it could be used to increase movement speed, making it a special item.

Chestnut Horse (Bronze): Base movement speed 70. Skill: Sprint.

Sprint: Increases movement speed by 50% for 20 seconds and increases the next attack by 40 damage. Cooldown: 3 minutes.

Since this skill was on the horse, Li Huailin tried it and found that it didn't reduce his movement speed, making it a fairly practical skill. It seemed that if he got a real pet, it would enhance his combat ability, but he couldn't go back to complete the task now.

Gilbert led the way, and Li Huailin had no idea which direction they were going. After about 20 minutes, Li Huailin finally saw a place that looked inhabited.

Unlike the bamboo fort on a mountain that Li Huailin had imagined, the Senal Thieves' Guild's camp was a small village-like area with no walls or any military fortifications. If not for Gilbert leading the way, it would look like a small village to others. The camp's location was quite hidden, nestled between two mountains, requiring a detour to see it.

Before they even entered, a group of people came to greet them. There were seven people in total, and the leader was a woman, which surprised Li Huailin because she was not a human. Her perfect figure wrapped in leather armor, a face that would make most women envious, and the iconic pointed ears all indicated that she was an elven female NPC. Li Huailin could see her name: Vanessa Greenwind.

"Leader, welcome back," Vanessa greeted Gilbert and then looked at the several carriages behind him. "It looks like you had a good haul."

"Yes, today was a big day," Gilbert said with a smile. "We didn't expect the caravan in the intelligence to be from the De'an Chamber of Commerce. Now we are rich."

"De'an Chamber of Commerce? The big guild in the City of Divine Blessing?" Vanessa seemed to have heard of the guild. Hearing it was this guild, her brows furrowed because the Feilmt Marquis was not someone to be trifled with.

"Don't worry, Vanessa, no one knows it was us," Gilbert said. "By the way, we are having a feast tonight to celebrate our big haul and to welcome our new deputy leader."

"New deputy leader?" Vanessa was taken aback and then looked at Li Huailin, who was a bit behind Gilbert.

"Yes, this is him. You can call him Huailin. He will be our deputy leader from now on," Gilbert introduced.

"Where is Marven?" Vanessa suddenly asked. "Why hasn't Marven returned?"

"Marven has been killed by me," Li Huailin said proactively.

"You..." Vanessa was about to say something when Li Huailin received a system notification.

System notification: Due to killing Marven, Vanessa's favorability towards you has increased by 40 points. Current favorability: Friendly.

"Oh, I see." Vanessa, who was about to burst, suddenly put on a smile and gave Li Huailin a sweet smile. "Thank you so much. You are truly a great benefactor to the guild..."

"Vanessa, why are you crying?" Golem suddenly said from the side.

"Huh?" Vanessa wiped her tears and said, "I don't know... but the tears... just won't stop..."
